I knew nothing of the lore, watched it and became a huge fan. Definitely enjoyed this more than Arcane. Arcane did one thing better though which was the visuals.
Yes, but if you look at the Witcher animated movie, you can see the quality they are capable of, so it will probably get better IF they get a higher budget!
Bigger budget doesnt always yield a better story. But I do agree that the writers really reel us in with the story they're weaving for us. Even for someone who knows the lore somewhat, the liberties they took with the characters took me by the edge of my seat. Some story transitions feel a bit rushed though and a bigger budget might give them more time to properly transition those without feeling it too hasted. But still, very good story.
Kinda sorta just binged book 1&2 of DOTA. I would definitely say this is one of my favorite animated series I’ve had the absolute pleasure of watching(Along with Arcane. That of which I watched instantly when each act was out.).While I’ve had no prior knowledge of either lores, LOL or DOTA, I can personally say the creators/production teams make both of these series PHENOMENAL. Both shows lays out a complex plot with twists and turns that I, personally, love. Both are rich with potential character building(as if there wasn’t amazing character layouts already🤩), and they present very well for a mature audience. Finally, both are spectacularly animated(even when one is on a low budget), and are absolutely worth rewatching. I cannot wait for the next step in both series.
A lot of people seems to dislike the complexity of the plot, but we all have different taste I guess. Dragon's Blood has got to be one of the best shows I've ever watched (Nothing touches LOTR and The Hobbit). And rip Artifact :(
@@GlanceValue agreed, for me it's a bit complex when I binged it the first time. But after watching it for a second time everything was clear, but the mystery remains at the same time. The thing now is will Valve finally count to 3? or will we get Book Alyx?
Im sad that only few streamers react for Dota: Dragon's Blood. I want to watch reactions and their point of view of the series. It's a good show but why it's not popular as Arcane? I hope next season will be hype too so others will be encourage to watch it.
I think it's not as popular as Arcane because it's working with a fraction of the budget and it's been rushed way more (Arcane has been in development for 7 years, while Dragon's Blood S01 only 2 years or something) Also, Dragon's Blood is hand drawn classic animation, and Arcane is CGI, way more flashy and grabs attention really well. I think Arcane is the better show, wheter we like it or not. I'm uploading my Dragon's Blood Season 2 review in about 15 minutes by the way! :)
@@GlanceValue not only that, but there's absolutely zero marketing for Dragons Blood. Valve itself don't make any marketing for Dota 2, let alone for the show.

Dragon's Blood has the worst marketing ever. When Arcane came out, it was everywhere, everyone knew about it and watched it. Million reviews, reactions and all that. But when it comes to Dragon's Blood, so many people don't even know it exists
i am playing too much lol and arcane not my favorite , i never play dota2 but my favorite dragon blood because its more deep history and good animation every charachters and voice actors is really perfect also my favorite character selemene ( do you love me )
I am so in sync with you when it comes to dragons, I hate how overused they are in the entertainment industry, they are like this cheap bait for people to get their attention, but most of the time they are just stupid overgrown lizards with hot breath, boring af, exceptions are Smaug in The Hobbit or dragons in How to Train Your Dragon, but like 90% of the time they are worthless, Im very happy to say that in Dota they handled the dragons really well :)
How to Train Your Dragon is a great example, but to be fair, the dragon being a dragon wasn't a key story element there either I feel, it could've been unicorn and the story still would've worked with a change of setting :D
@@GlanceValue honestly I think it’s cause of the voice actor. I just hear him everywhere and idk, how voice has started to bother me lol. I loved his story in season 1 tho
"This video is kind of a spin off of this video, where I went into Arcane blind, and loved it. Now I'm doing a review of why I wish I went blind before going into Dragons Blood!" Jokes that are painfully close to the truth aside, if only Valve cared a quarter as much as Riot, Dragons Blood might have also gone over as a 'video game show done right'. But sadly, I can only consider it good entertainment because I already know the universe and care as a player. I would have a hard time recommending Dragons Blood to people outside of the community unless they like the drawing style or similar shows - whereas Arcane gets a recommend to almost anyone around my age or younger. Anyway, thx for the perspective! You definitely point out some valuable positives to the show. Maybe it deserves a re-watch to see if I judged it too harshly.
@@GlanceValue th-cam.com/video/wfprhwXwTJo/w-d-xo.html Your Witcher comparison also works well, because they even saved the power-house actors they were gonna bring on board until season two. Season one was completely lacking in any actors that knew how challen(c/g)e can fill up a man, all the time challen(c/g)e. After Silco, how can Arcane possibly bring on a character that is able to keep it any realer? Kim Bodnia, on the other hand, is keeping it 100% real all day every day, 24/7, to the point where he is able to enter a stream of consciousness where reality is interpreted in its direct form - which is only paralleled by Shaggy from Scooby Doo. Arcane cannot bring back Silco without destroying the character arc of Jinx. However, all The Witcher has to do is add one Kaer Morhen scene in season three, and they have an excuse to let Kim do interviews again to unleash the full potential of his grasp on the nature of the fabric of the universe. Also, that Henry Cavill guy is kind of neat.

Is it that complex? It's not that hard to follow though, it's 3 different plots in 8 episodes managed quite well.
it seems like Book 2 is way more complex
and also, I think the PLOT isn't complex, but the context is very very dense (lore, relationships)
