I cannot even emphasize how powerful the lyrics are. And Tiffany and your vocals just bring out the emotions flowing out. So many different layers. Especially right at the end when Tryndamere sees Ashe. I realize now that the last I'm still here is Ashe telling Trynd that she is still there for him.
I loved how they portrayed Kindred. Trynda was not fighting against Kindres the champion, he was fighting against death, and when Ashe came to help Kindred disappeared, meaning the death was not close by anymore, simply amazing!
I don't think I've ever seen kindred displayed this way in a main cinematic, they don't get that much attention, so I love how much they get here, and the way they are shown as death. its amazing
Forts here! ⚔️ Thanks for all the love on the song so far! It was such an honor to write and perform alongside such amazing talent. Have a great 2024 season everyone! 🤍
Sometimes when I need some motivation I always find myself coming back to relisten/rewatch this. The power in Forts voice saying "It's in my blood its in my veins" just INVIGORATES me. Thanks to everyone who worked on this!
It’s the same for me but I focus on “I’m still here” part. It gives a message of “I survived, despite everything, I’m here, I exist.” It’s a really motivating & captivating song!
I absolutely love how Kindred slowly lowers its bow and arrow at the end. It's like Kindred foreseeing the future a few seconds in advance, realizing, "Nope, it's not Trynd's time yet". Such a powerful and beautiful scene!
Interesting take, I think kindred was saying from the beginning it is not your time but since trynd is a warrior she wanted to show him in a way he would understand. Fight for life. Imo kindred wouldn't make the mistake of someones time
@@Tri7on I interpreted it the same way OP did, but I think your comment makes so much more sense- I love reading others comments and takes and understanding stuff better
The Kindred sequence was AMAZING! Ashe coming in clutch for the save and then Kindred disappearing when Tryndamere's life was no longer in peril felt so poetic. Visually Kindred and Wolf look top tier.
I absolutely love that little detail of Kindred disappearing once Ash shows up, even after having Wolf wrestling so viciously with Tryndamere. You can see how Tryn's Ult isn't dissuading her at all. She's perfectly aware that he's already dead and just struggling against the inevitable. But she backs off completely when Ash appears because Ash entering the fray has changed Tryn's fate, he's no longer just a dead man walking, but instead will survive thanks to his companion's efforts.
That Trynda vs Kindred was beautiful. I like that they made Kindred look confused after Trynda refused to die thanks to his ultimate. They really captured that "hmh?" feeling.
To me, it didn't seem like Kindred was confused but rather impressed that Trynda has such a strong will to live. At the last part she could have called the shot but she lowered her arrows cause she knows he can still live.

You should check out their voicelines when they meet each other ingame! "Kayle forsook her humanity for divinity, while Morgana embraced it. So the side eye hints at the soon to be broken relationship the two sisters will have. Morgana bounded herself to the earth to help and understand people. As much as I like the Arcane style and the 2025 cinematic, I’ll miss this really realistic artstyle from The Call and Still Here. It sure seems like a lot more of work but it looks absolutely perfect, whereas the 2025 felt like just another Arcane episode.
Yeah no they better not replace this style from here on out. I much prefer a music video cinematic to get me hyped for the next season grind than a blatant Netflix trailer
The Tryndamere vs Kindred fight has to be one of the coolest scenes ever animated by Riot. Trynd fighting off death itself in his ult until Ashe saves him was not on my season 14 bingo card.
and it was just a representation, he was fighting against soldiers that would cause him his death, but he's is too stuborn to die and fight his death... and because he is fighting death so he is fighting the Kindred
Seeing Ashe calmed his rage and fury. That is a massive development since when he came to join the Avorasans Braum literally had to sheild all his strikes to get him to calm down. Their marriage has come a long way from marriage of convenience.
Nice detail to add Kayle's look of disappointment when Morgana began using her dark magic. Really brings the lore to life. Can't wait for the Necrit video.
@@annieleonhart6693 yeah agreed on that, it's a good cinematic just felt so empty and un-hyped. It felt more like a trailer for a movie than it did this epic climax that's supposed to fuel our interest in the new season.
could you explain whats happening in that scene? i dont play the game, im confused as to why he goes from fighting the wolf to the wolf being the woman i dont understand
in the LoL universe Kindred is basically Death. Lore wise (i'm not positive) but she is basically the most powerful thing in the universe because, well she is death. She and the wolf are always together. They are "kindred", "never one without the other". What makes the scene really cool is that Tryndamere's ultimate power is basically refusing to die because of his rage. Death has stopped looming over him once his wife Ashe shows up to save him, which is why you see Kindred basically disappear and turn into Ashe coming to the rescue@@onetuffspartan1981
@@onetuffspartan1981 The wolf and the lamb characters he is fighting are one and the same being: death. The lamb is the merciful aspect that takes those who willingly accept death, wolf is the ruthless hunter that takes those that resist. If you watch VERY carefully, you can actually see these two appear in several places throughout the film. (most notably in the scene prior where the wind warrior casts his sword down and accepts the arrow rain death that awaits him. If you look when he closes his eyes and it switches to the cloud of arrows you can see the wolf's face in the tree line, but a white arrow takes him first, because he accepted it). However, the man with the big sword kiiinda can't die. Theoretically, he can, but his rage prevents it due to his tribe and a run in with an evil demigod (the giant flying demon guy from the second scene, actually) that attempted to subdue him and take over his body with blood magic, but due to his rage he kept his will and more or less has a demigod's power trapped within him. He, however, has no idea about any of this or how to use the newfound power. To himself, he's just a barbarian with rage problems that somehow keeps living. In the very first scene you see the barbarian surrounded by opponents and a woman running toward him in the distance. In the final scene, he "awakes" to find himself stalked by death. He is in fact fighting those mortal opponents from the first scene (as evidenced later by the addition of several bodies and the tear marks on his shoulder armor showing that the hits were very real), but in that moment, he sees death is trying to take him. He successfully fights for his life, even against wolf due to his rage. That woman that appears is actually the same woman you can see in the distance in the very first scene: his wife. Death leaves and stops trying to take him because his wife saved him by killing the last of the attackers. Now is not his time as he is no longer on death's edge, and so death leaves.
There's some great emotion when a person in obvious duress and rage immediately soften and relax upon seeing their loved one. That last scene is amazing.
This was actually beautifully done, so glad they finally put Kindred in a cinematic, they're my favorite and portrayed so well. Especially Tryndamere fighting Kindred in spirit while fighting the men in reality and Kindred's head tilt of intrigue at 3:30 almost curious or surprised Tryndamere is fighting off death so fiercely, and Kindred not loosing her arrow once she realizes it's not her time to take him yet since Ashe saves him, also Ashe's arrows piercing "through" the spirit realm and bringing the light of reality with them; very cool attention to details!
I came here looking for this exact info. Not playing league much or keeping up with the lore, I wanted to better understand what was happening. You explained it wonderfully, thank you!
@@AwkwardDreamer No problem! And just for some more background context, Tryndamere is known for basically being unkillable (his ult in the game is basically undying rage and his eyes turn red and he refuses to die from any damage for a time) and Kindred is the spirit duo of death essentially, Lamb is the archer whos death is quick and peaceful (meaning you accept death) Wolfs death is like this cinematic; it's brual, a hunt, a thrashing and gnawing ordeal (meaning you are running from or trying to refuse death, which typically for the average being is out of your control) so when these two opposites clash it's a spectacle to watch. That's what I find so good about the head tilt from Kindred because Tryndamere isn't just defending himself or trying to stop death he actually goes on the offensive and basically tries attacking death to prolong his own life since he refuses to die which would be very uncommon and intriguing to come across as the spirit of death. Very well written and portrayed here.
Kayle and Morgana are actually younger here than in game, as this scene happens before they split over the death of their father. They stopped aging in their late 20's/early 30's when they got their wings (Their mom is the aspect of justice)
True that ahahah I still can't believe yone looks younger in game like bruh they even show Yone in Legends of Runeterra (the card game) where he is a lot older looking. And that card existed before the In game yone
Oh my lord the softness that happens in Tryndamere's eyes when Ashe arrives!! That attention to detail!! That whole scene. Fighting off death, god so beautifully written!
The ppl making the League cinematics truly are a multi-awards winning team no contest 💯🏅 Not only do they make these insane quality animations, visuals and script writing but they also always pick some of the best and most fitting songs to accompany them.
The way how Kindred appears and fights against Tryndamere give me goosebumps. It's a way too smooth. I really love this cinematic. And also love how Ashe worries about her husband.
@@pendragonxt3674 😮While I played Lol for 5 years, maybe 6, they never showed Ashe was married to Tryndamere. Maybe their lore wasn't that developed, last cinematic I was saw... 3:13 Kindred is so freakin well done. Wolf's relentlessly attacks his prey while Lamb walks ghostly and slowly in the distance with those 2 glowing eyes. Looks absolutely terrifying, perfectly fitting for the "Death"
I like the subtle tilt of Lamb's head at 3:30 . She doesn't have facial expressions and this short moment of bewilderment and curiosity is basically the only emotion she shows. It's a great contrast to how ferocious Wolf is.
@@ludo_narrIt really fits their character since Death is still an unknown concept. I mean yea, beeing dead is beeing dead but how does it feel? Is there something after it? Is it just like sleeping? Who knows? For me, all those unsolvable questions are the curiosity of the lamb while the reality that Death is the end of all living things can be seen as the Wolf. Man, I love Kindreds concept of Death
@@nicz7694 They have these compelling opposite extreme personalities. Wolf is all emotion and impulse. He doesn't plan ahead for his attacks. He just goes in full frontal assault. Meanwhile Lamb is the rational mind. She takes her time and only attacks when Tryn is distracted. Lamb doesn't bother to provide cover for her partner, because she knows he isn't in any danger. Wolf on the other hand doesn't hesitate for a second to jump between Lamb and Tryn. It just doesn't cross his mind that she can't actually be harmed or killed. He just cares about her.
I loved it, but wanted a bit more. As per lore (read the story 3 years ago, hopefully it didn't change), wolf is the "coward's death", killing those who run from battle (I guess those who died while running away), while sheep is the death of those who fight till the end. So in a way, it would be nice to see them "not" fight together. This fight, in this sense, was an in-game one; everyone fights. Also, while liking Ashe's save, it would have been nice if after she came, she would have found Trynda dead. Meaning he ulted, so the fight with kindred was those 5 seconds of invincibility his ult gives him, after which he dies. Imagine this: every time he uses his ultimate, he actually fights kindred. Amazing.
@@radubarbuceanu8466 If I remember correctly, Lamb delivers a swift death to those who accept their fate and Wolf delivers a violent death to those who try to defy death. My interpretation is that Tryn standing up with his sword and facing Lamb was him challenging death, which is Wolf's cue to tear him apart.
The subtle hints of kindred at every near death is so good. The blurred figure for Tryn. The shadowy shape in Kayles flames. The blue arrow and Wolf's eyes/ears in the treeline for Yasuos death. And then that final battle! Absolutely awesome.
Yeah I loved that poetic battle, it showed that death can spare you if you have enough will to struggle. No matter how hard it is your wife won't let you die so easily /j.
the Tryndamere fight is absolutely gorgeous, it hilights all the right things, like his inhumane resilience, the lamb patience, the wolf's eagerness, and kindred's disappeareance revealing he's been fighting against his own death... goosebumps
i dont think the disappearance is signifying him fighting is own death but instead the fact that he isn't close to death anymore because ashe (his wife) is there saving his life.
I think they also wanted to show the lamb's empathy. I see the shots where she tilts her head or observes Tryndamere as her trying to decide whether its the right time to die for him. And Tryndamere fights back, and even ignores the wolf to face the lamb specifically, as if to answer: "No!"
What's the point of making cinematics for dorky ancient 2D games that require desperate excuses to still justify playing? This is like Britney's "comeback" tour. Move on, folks. No voiceovers, no stories? Even Blizzard does this better.
I absolutely adore it when they reference champion abilities with subtlety, like with Tryndamere having red eyes when fighting Kindred since he's fighting Death
the first ever animated appearence of kindred outside of a 2 second lor clip. i don't think i could possibly be happier with a cinematic. thank you riot. last years let down was all worth it. everything was worth it, this was great :D
Something really unique and cool about this cinematic it's how, even if epic, it's not a hopeful song. It's not about pushing forward or surpass adversity, but it's about resilience. Our narrator isn't fighting for a dream or a noble cause, but because it's all they've ever known. All they have left. Someone who's fought so long and so much, they have nothing else to lose (Got my heel crushing the snake, there is nothing you can take/My shadow stretching out through all the things I left behind) Not even something to win. They've already fought so much and it's been for so little (Is it all enough this time?/All the times I've had to fight) and yet, they refuse to give up. They refuse to fall, or at least, they're determined to fall swinging, fighting, they're gonna have to take their life from them. Because fighting it's not always something glorious or motivational. We don't always fight because we want something or even because we want to. Sometimes, you just fight to keep going. Sometimes you just fight because you're still here, and that's the only way you're gonna leave: fighting
The symbolism between the Trynd and Kindred fight is so well done here. He's not fighting Kindred, he's fighting against his own death (at the hands of the barbarians) and when Ashe comes to save him Kindred stands down. Lore accurate because Trynd can postpone his death if even for a moment, and in this case the moment was all he needed to beat kindred.
@@Kolokoylokoy As far as we know, nothing. Fiddlesticks is the embodiment of fear itself. It doesn't really have a real consciousness, it's not even aware of its existence. It just... attacks, terrifies and kills. That is all it does, as it is a being born from a primal and ever-present emotion - Fear. So I guess you could say that Fiddlesticks IS Fear, thus Fear would be its real name. Though that does not really make sense, as the Primal Demon of Joy does have a name, Ashlesh.
@@gachalordnoobie4911 true... fun fact, fiddle gives shaco more lore than shaco has. in-game fiddle's voice lines towards other champions are him telling there deepest terrors however there are 3 champions he instead simply speaks there name and nothing more = Evelinn, Tahm and Shaco now we know Evelinn and Tahm are demons which would explain why they don't have terrors of there own, Shaco however has no real lore which I believe is intentional (because hes probably a phantom demon and lacks a physical form ). can I prove it ? nope but its the most lore the character has to work with based on in game character voice lines
I thought to myself "that sounds like kindred" at the start but thought their was no way they would include them...my jaw dropped at seeing her and wolf.

It has been years but that Kindred character has one of the best personification of Death I have ever seen in games. I no longer play league but was around when they launched Lamb and Wolf.
One of the reasons I keep coming back to this cinematic is the closeup of Tryndamere's brow and eyes softening upon seeing Ashe. Him feeling able to take a moment, however brief, to relax because of her arrival is so beautiful!
Tryndamere fighting off death against kindred using sheer Rage with Ashe coming to save him is visual poetry and I'm all here for it. The lore behind it is awesome too. Gameplay wise, the Kindred versus Tryndamere matchup feels exactly like it's portrayed in the Cinematic. Riot gets a lot of props for their cinematics. I can only hope that this season is better than previous ones.
@@liftingforfun2347 Tryndamere wasn't physically fighting Kindred. He was in his undying rage blindly fighting soldiers while in spirit he was fighting Kindred for his life. Ashe appearing is her coming to save him as he's out numbered and about to die and him healing his wounds using his W saving him from death/kindred
I love how accurate the portrayals of Kindreds personalities are: Wolf being so impacient and eager to attack again and again, while Lamb waits and watches, studying the target, slightly turning her head in amusement or curiosity when she sees Trynds inhuman resistance.
@@anasbouallagui9845 The plan for Arcane is to expand to encompass Runeterra. It's locked to Piltover/Zaun so that non-lore people can connect to characters and understand the world. They're slowly introducing Noxus and Ionia, we saw Ryze too. It will take time tho
In the Tryndamere vs kindred scene, we can see the amount of detail they put on this fight. First, the wolf don't exactly attack Tryn, because he can't. The lamb needs to attack first to give a "peaceful" death, but if the person refuse this arrow, then its the wolf's turn. Lamb can only watch because its a deal, one do not interfere in the others prey, but when Tryndamere attacks the lamb, is not about just another person to die, but a fight for life and then they fight together until Ashe came to the rescue. I just love this little details about their lore and the fact they put in this cinematic
Also, i might be wrong but I think i noticed something else with that part. During Tryndamere's fight, we do not see a single dead body on the ground. But after Ashe shot the two behind him, we suddenly saw a lot. Maybe when he rages and is unkillable, Tryndamere doesn't see enemies. He sees Death. And fighting what he sees as the representation of Death, he kills his foes?
@@karma.6239trynd is not fighting kindred directly, but he fghts kindred indirectly through the battle against the armored men. Kindred doesn't shoot anymore because ashe killed the two armored men behind trynd who were going to kill him. Ashe stopped his death. Kindred was only his death animation.
11 months later this cinematic still so good, chills all my body, Morgana and Kayle ouch hurts my soul and Tryndamare fighting against death almost bring me tears. Thanks for that.
3:00 This is so badass. Imagine being on the edge of death, with personifications of death offering mercy or pain, and you battling it out because it’s not your time yet, to the point where you CONVINCE THEM!? That’s some willpower right there. Inspiring even.
Not to ruin your perspective but sadly it isn't like that, tryndamere sees the soilders he is fighting as kindred since he was in the verge of death and everyone sees kindred when they are in the verge of death in 1 way or another kindred has the power to kill anything tryndamere included but decides not to because she doesn't interfere in the cycle of death she just claims them, since tryndamere has darking blood in him because of aatrox he can fend off the soilders before ashe arriving making it so he is not in the verge of death anymore therefore kindred lets him leave since she doesn't interfere with it manually just takes the form of whatever is gonna kill you, kindred still head tilts on curiosity because of the rare event of having darkin blood wich lets him not die from all the attacks
Tryndamere ult is represented here as him gathering all of his strength to fight off kindred, death, for just a few seconds until he can be rescued and honestly it's incredibly impactful.
I love how that arrow flew through at the beginning of that scene and a snowflake dropping on Try's blade with a brief aerial shot of him sprawled in the snow, injured. I think that was Ashe locating where he is in order to come to his aid.
I've played Tryndamere for almost 10 years and I know his every mechanic. I know when it's time to run or die and the feeling of being saved by someone else is a good feeling. It's a game of dancing on literal milliseconds trying to out pace the enemy and weave between fighting for my team and setting my team up to fight for me.
Kayle and Morgana are seriously stunning- I cant get over the detail on literally everybody and everything in this cinematic, but I'm glad to see some champs got some well deserved screen time. Seriously such a beautiful cinematic!!!
I dom't think everything is gonna be arcane, I think this years cinematic being in arcanes animation style was a good idea, that doesn't means that everything in future gonna be like that
Kindred will always be one of my favorite champions design and lore wise. How they are always there, but manifest themselves in the real world through acts (lambs peaceful death through her arrow causing someone to have a quick heart attack or wolf tearing someone apart through the solider shown in the vid) always makes me hyped seeing them.
i dont understand why shes also trying to shoot him. does that means he oscilating between aceppting death at this point or fight it again? he broke the arrows tho
I mean to beat Aatrox vs Kayle and Morgana in a cinematic you have to put Aurelion vs all the aspects no other way around it, nothing else comes even close
The lamb's patience, the wolf's urge to hunt, the amazing way the Kindred were animated, it's so cool to see them in action, please give us more Kindred like this. Life and Death.
Lamb is not life. They are both death. Lamb gives a swift death to those who accept their fate. Wolf brings terror and hunts down those that flee death.
Completely agree but just wanted to point out that kindred represents only death, not life and death. Lamb is supposed to be the one that "shepherds" souls into the afterlife peacefully, while wolf comes for those who try and fight their passing on.
@@nightcorenation4181 basically they're upgraded little bit over years not downgrade like this 2025 with arcane style animation, dont get me wrong i love arcane style animation in the series not in the cinematic.
The Wolf & Lamb are just gorgeous designs & concepts. Lamb is the graceful, eternal & looming promise of death whispered on a cold wind. Wolf is the brutal, unstoppable force of death that emerges from the shadows like smoke that hide a raging inferno. We need so much more of these guys seriously.
And both are entirely impersonal about the whole thing. Which in part makes them scarier. When Ashe saves him, they simply leave. Because above all, death is patient.
Hehe agree, and that is why kindred is my most fav as a whole, character concept, art, etc even if Im not a jungler and as support, I rarely use them haha
Details like this are what make me tear up during all these cinematics. Riot may be killing lore but seeing established lore things happen make you feel. The only thing that could save Trynd from his undying rage was seeing his wife coming for him. These FMVs are truly 10/10 every time.
Easily the best cinematic they've done. Not only is it great in quality but it's brimming with lore. I especially love the idea that when Tryndamere enters his rage stance, he viciously fights off death itself to survive and when Ashe appears, the visions of Death (Kindred) disappear. Super good storytelling :')
@@justaguy3548 The song was way better in that one. But besides like two scenes I can remember of close-up shots of Pantheon and Sejuani's faces this one had really good lore and clearly had far better animation which is kinda crazy since its only been two years.
Actually I dont think thats just a "vision" of death becasue (and this is just my quess based on what we get) before the fight starts his shoulderpad(?) is undamaged but after the last attack the wolf gets on him leaves a bite mark on the shoulderpad which is still there after kindred goes away. This is the first time I realized how horrifying meeting the Kindred would actually be. Specifically, the way they animated Wolf. Just imagine walking through a silent forest and suddenly that big boy manifests from the shadows, charging at you. Edit: Guys, I know how the Kindred work, why is every other comment explaining the same thing? Maybe I chowed down on some poison mushrooms in said forest, you don't know me! Either way, Lamb's going down!
Wolf doesn't attack unless you're trying to deny or escape death. Lamb's appearance is very calm, just like the death she brings those who accept it. She speaks of this a lot in her voicelines.
Now imagine what Yorick must feel 😦. Since he can't die so long as he wears the tear, Wolf can't even come after him, yet he's never far. One of Yorick's voicelines is actually about him often seeing Wolf in the corner of his eye.
Before this animation Tryndamere seemed like a boring and unimportant character to me, but the idea of fighting against Kindred in every battle he fought and refusing death ... made him one of the coolest guys in the lore for me.
this animation did more for Tryndamere then every Retcon and lore change combined. Being married to one of the most important character in the Freljord should have given him something but it didn't all he had was his connection to Aatrox witch got retconned twice. Now this these connections are starting to mean something.
@@raven-0621 Yeah, being canonically 0-3 in the weakest era of runeterra's existence is a pretty tragic backstory. (he doesn't fight or beat kindred for death realm btw, he loses and carves out a section of the afterlife for himself (she does not juristic the afterlife)
Tryndamere fighting Kindred was so powerful! I could really feel Tryndamere's desire to live while he was fighting death itself and Kindred's curiosity about him refusing to accept death and fighting on as hard as possible. It felt super emotional and motivational, superb!
I love that Kindred appears finally in an animation. And the concept from their fight against Tryndamere is really well thought. I really like this year's cinematic
Love the idea that Tryndamere has to fight off whoever is trying to kill him as well as Kindred every time he ults. Technically he's seen them, if that's the case, more than 99% of other *general entities in the universe* by comparison. Kinda nuts. I can imagine Lamb shows up for like the 50th time and is just like "Want a punch card? Seems like you could use one."
I love how Trynd seems to calm down immediately after seeing Ashe. We don't get to see a lot of them, and Trynd has been portrayed as a monster in the past, so this fleeting moment of raw humanity from him is excellent. Love it.
You can see his whole face sort of relax. It's mostly in the eyes though, it's that recognition that where Lamb, an adversary, was standing is now his beloved wife. He relaxes because he can, she's got his back. You then see him adopt this more moderate look to his face, almost somewhat tender, then you look back to before Ashe's arrows hit and you see the look of shock on his face, and that transition begins to happen before the eyes return to their normal color. Some of that could just be the ult wearing off, but I like to think he's happy and relieved to see her. That's my read, anyway.@@trentlevesque2603
You know, I wonder how the confrontation looks from Ashe's perspective. Can she even see The Kindred? She doesn't aim for The Wolf, she aims for two grunts Trynd maybe couldn't see or just didn't notice. Was he just flailing around? Were the Kindred taking the places of Trynd's attackers?

Yeah they nailed the lore of kindred in this
I absolutely love that little detail of Kindred disappearing once Ash shows up, even after having Wolf wrestling so viciously with Tryndamere.
The tilting of Kindred's head is what encapsulates that feeling the most

What sound do they make?
could you explain whats happening in that scene? i dont play the game, im confused as to why he goes from fighting the wolf to the wolf being the woman i dont understand
in the LoL universe Kindred is basically Death.
Now is not his time as he is no longer on death's edge, and so death leaves.
thanks so much!@@TWKPixelHero

2024 cinematic the best cinematic
This was actually beautifully done, so glad they finally put Kindred in a cinematic, they're my favorite and portrayed so well. Especially Tryndamere fighting Kindred in spirit while fighting the men in reality and Kindred's head tilt of intrigue at 3:30 almost curious or surprised Tryndamere is fighting off death so fiercely, and Kindred not loosing her arrow once she realizes it's not her time to take him yet since Ashe saves him, also Ashe's arrows piercing "through" the spirit realm and bringing the light of reality with them; very cool attention to details!
the best part was how animalistic the head tilt was! sometimes we forget the kindred is 0% human (looking at you porcelain kindred..)
I came here looking for this exact info. Not playing league much or keeping up with the lore, I wanted to better understand what was happening. You explained it wonderfully, thank you!
kindred was surprised because tryndamere should have died but he used his ultimate (red eyes)
losing
What I love about this is their decision to age up the characters. They feel more alive this way.

My interpretation is that Tryn standing up with his sword and facing Lamb was him challenging death, which is Wolf's cue to tear him apart.

i dont think the disappearance is signifying him fighting is own death but instead the fact that he isn't close to death anymore because ashe (his wife) is there saving his life.

I think they also wanted to show the lamb's empathy. I see the shots where she tilts her head or observes Tryndamere as her trying to decide whether its the right time to die for him. And Tryndamere fights back, and even ignores the wolf to face the lamb specifically, as if to answer: "No!"

Kindred's concept is so beautiful, I hope they showcase it cinematically more in the future! This is stunning
Kindred represents death, so they only appear when someone is on the verge of dying... kinda creepy but cool
Its my favourite concept of death
true
The symbolism between the Trynd and Kindred fight is so well done here. He's not fighting Kindred, he's fighting against his own death (at the hands of the barbarians) and when Ashe comes to save him Kindred stands down.
Lore accurate because Trynd can postpone his death if even for a moment, and in this case the moment was all he needed to beat kindred.
He is ducking undying when in rage. In LoR he was in covered with arrow shots and being still alive. It's just an illustration for death.

Na thats just the ult timer running out.

Tryndamere fighting off death against kindred using sheer Rage with Ashe coming to save him is visual poetry and I'm all here for it. The lore behind it is awesome too. This realistic animation is insane!
I'm so glad Kindred finally got a spotlight. This is an insane cinematic
I reckon Kindred existence kinda inevitable in the world of League. As they defined as ‘death’ it’s a good source for any kinda cinematic movie though
Wolf's portrail here is pretty flattering compared to what he is in the game lol
Still best cinematics in the fantasy genre.
I would like to mention that tryn is pretty badass for actually managing to fight of death long enough for ash to arrive.
kindred's narratives are quite impressive Literally
In the Tryndamere vs kindred scene, we can see the amount of detail they put on this fight. First, the wolf don't exactly attack Tryn, because he can't. The lamb needs to attack first to give a "peaceful" death, but if the person refuse this arrow, then its the wolf's turn. Lamb can only watch because its a deal, one do not interfere in the others prey, but when Tryndamere attacks the lamb, is not about just another person to die, but a fight for life and then they fight together until Ashe came to the rescue. I just love this little details about their lore and the fact they put in this cinematic
also Lamb did not shoot the arrow to kill him the second time because she knew it was not his time so she stopped attacking him
Also, i might be wrong but I think i noticed something else with that part.
@@baptiste5584 Correct. He went into an undying rage. When he came back he grasped reality again and saw the outcome of his rage.
@@karma.6239trynd is not fighting kindred directly, but he fghts kindred indirectly through the battle against the armored men. That’s some willpower right there. Inspiring even.
And that head tilt as if he got it curious.
@@Dekarowski25maybe with a little bit of confusion like "why is this guy resisting death?"😂
@@asrieldreemurr2219 Yeah that may mechanically be what's happening but it's less poetic

@@PolineChan I agree!!! This is how I feel when I play them, but unfortunately not how it looks
Lamb is not life. They are both death. Lamb gives a swift death to those who accept their fate. Wolf brings terror and hunts down those that flee death.

Warriors from 2020 is the best imo. The fights were good here but not the story telling imo.
Nah the pantheon one was way better
@@justaguy3548 The song was way better in that one. But besides like two scenes I can remember of close-up shots of Pantheon and Sejuani's faces this one had really good lore and clearly had far better animation which is kinda crazy since its only been two years.
Actually I dont think thats just a "vision" of death becasue (and this is just my quess based on what we get) before the fight starts his shoulderpad(?) is undamaged but after the last attack the wolf gets on him leaves a bite mark on the shoulderpad which is still there after kindred goes away. TLDR; I think the fight with death was very litteral as well and not just a vision.

He charges at you only if you resist the painless arrow of lamb though =D
Wolf doesn't attack unless you're trying to deny or escape death. Lamb's appearance is very calm, just like the death she brings those who accept it. She speaks of this a lot in her voicelines.
@@Puddskye. She can keep her arrows, I'm wrestling the dog.
I mean i probably wouldn't die in a silent forest. At least a bed guys jeez

Jokes aside I loved the animation and this is the best fight in these animations for me
Love the idea that Tryndamere has to fight off whoever is trying to kill him as well as Kindred every time he ults.
Love it.
It definitely would take the Frost Archer to calm down Trynd's temper.
Thought that was just his ult wearing off.
