Hey mate. Nice to finally meet you and spend some time with you and get to know you. Hope to meet you in the forthcoming events and drives. Awesome and detailed video as usual! Cheers mate
Re Gearbox. I own a C7 S6 Avant (I bought it new and prefered it over the RS6 which I found a bit in your face and shouty). Unlike the RS6 the S6 came with the dual clutch S tronic gearbox. On the move it is seamless and hilariously fast, the pick up is just astonishing for such a lardy family box. The reality is the S6 was pretty much as fast as the standard RS6 of the same year and much of the reason the RS6 Perfomance exists - it created more of a gap between the S and RS model - which there should be. Trust me, the S6 C7 is a sub 4 second car to 60mph using launch control because of the gearbox and the fact it's probably pumping out more than the 450hp that Audi advertise in standard form. All that said, in daily driving which is 99% of my use of this car, it really would be a better car with a traditional torque converter auto box. I find the S Tronic easily gets wrong footed, 3 point turns are slow, if you pull out of junction and have to stop or hesitate due to traffic you have to wait for the box to re select a gear before you can get going again. Creeping in stop start traffic takes a lot practice if you dont want jerky take ups (I've tried all modes and find the economy setting the best for traffic jams). It is the only thing I would change about this car. In every other aspect this is the best all round daily car I've ever owned and as it's approaching three years old I have no intention of changing it, especially with the new S6 being a diesel. Real world the ZF 8sp auto is the most appropriate gearbox for this type of car (and the RS6) it makes it smoother and more comfortable to drive in almost every aspect of daily driving. If you want a dual clutch hairpin destroyer, SUV's or Wagons is not where you should be looking. Lets face it, if you're in the market for a new RS6 or RSQ8 you'll generally have enough financial clout to have a sports car as well.
People in the car community are so demoralized and it's why I've--for the most part--given up on car forums and such. Please, please know that starting a company is and has always been the most ideal way of growing out of the middle and lower classes. I know it feels like there's a barrier from poor to rich, but shed your delusions of mediocrity and over the next year, begin trying to formulate a business model. Utilize an MVP (minimum viable product) to avoid accruing debt whilst in the launch phase and use the cash flow from that to generate a more scalable model. Google "P/E" (price-to-earnings ratio) of small-cap companies within the industry your supposed startup would be within and you'll realize that the appreciation paradigm for earning money is vastly different, but vastly more attainable than a large salary. You can then sell your stake in XYZ startup and be surprised at how doable it was. Just do some research and/or ask me any questions and I'll elaborate and/or answer them.

You mention that the only differences between RS6 and RSQ8 are ride height and off road mode. What about back seat width? Is there more space across the back seats for 3 child seats in the RSQ8 than the RS6?

It is cool, but I have already put a deposit for the RS6 avant and with my B8 RS5 and the Rossion, I will have a complete garage for all 365 days of the year! :)
