Hello Pam, these are wonderful. Thank you for sharing this. My mother and Sister run me down when I give hand made gifts. I did knitted Christmas stockings for my sisters children and she told me off for not putting in enough effort. I did my parents a Christmas cross stitch banner and I said it took me three years to do and that is what she told people to run me down. Glad you have people who love the things you make. My nana knitted me a doll one year and I loved it. Blessings lovely from Colleen NZ.
Make things that make you happy and tell your family if they don’t like it to keep to there self. Do it for you and don’t worry about them. Some people aren’t happy unless they are making others feel smaller.
@@SMcCoury thank you. I am going to run a class in July in my area to teach others and I am looking forward to it. It will be nice to share what I have learnt with others. Blessings
Oh my goodness. Evidently they have no talent to so what you do and are just jealous! I don't knit..I tried and quit after a pair of slippers...couldn't handle two needles so I took up crocheting. Knitted Christmas stockings? How wonderful...not enough 'effort'. She had never tried. How much 'effort' does it take to shop or today, shop on line? That takes NO effort. She is teaching her children the wrong things. So sad for them 😢 And your mother too? I an so sorry. I really could spit about now! And a three year project doing cross stitch? I've done that too. Just order something from Amazon and don't waste your energy or talent anymore. Sorry for ranting. God bless you for your unappreciated efforts. Lets see a terrific junk journal and NOT for them!!!!! 👍🏻🥰🙏
Oh Pam I can't use or talk about fabri-fix with out say Fabri-Fix fabric to fabric - fabric to paper - paper to paper you have changed me (in a great way ) lol love to you and the family
I typically give to other crafters. Although my family always appreciates what I make, thing go unused, lost, etc. Other crafters understand the time it takes so know what to do. I suspect that’s why some crafters give to charities or sell, too.
This is so funny! I'm cleaning my craft room and came across the corner rounder by creative memories. I said, "I haven't used this in years. Off it goes into the donation box." Then I see you use it. Going to grab that thing out of my donation box now. LOL
I favorited your shop on Etsy and each time I go there I just click on my favorites and they all come up. From there I just click on your shop. I also get notifications of new items added to all my favorite shops. It is so easy and I love it.
Oh Pam! I so LOVE your rambling, hilarious and entertaining way of explaining how things go together. I also love the heartfelt little tidbits you add encouraging us to “not be afraid” to draw or personalize…and how meaningful hand made stuff is to give and receive. Always fun! Always educational! ♥️
My favorite 'handmade' item is a greeting card my southern grandmother gave me for Easter. It was a drug store birthday card. She crossed out 'birthday' and wrote in 'Easter, then drew a rabbit and a decorated egg on the inside using fabric paint tubes. It's the funniest thing, and it still makes me laugh when I see it. Re: Etsy, yeah it's a search engine that doesn't really work, unfortunately.
I love this idea. I also love the idea of using the playing cards as flips, pockets and tucks. I haven't tried using them yet, but they are on my list! 😂 Sunny is so cute! ❤ Thank you!❤
i love what you did today Pam - i have several vintage playing cards and this is a wonderful way to display them without ruining them - thank you for this - I have a question - What would we do without you!!!!!!! (and Sunny lol) Pam you have taught us so much - your videos are so very inspiring and enjoyable to watch - thank you for all you do - hugs xx
What a great idea for making an easy cascade for any page with just a few cards! I love it and also I always enjoy your videos 🥰. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Like this easy and simple project. I’ve been playing with the waterfall effect and this is very similar except off the the side rather than from top to bottom. Both are quick pretty and fun to do!
You are so inspirational I just love your tutorials I call you the master of all crafts and everyone would learn from you I don’t miss any of your tutorials thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas with us xxxx💖💖💖
I can’t wait for the time to make some of these! They are awesome and what a way to stretch your journal. When my unwind time come I will be doing these….
Hello Pam and family This is so cute. I have some cards that my granddaughter gave me. Going to use them up. Thanks for sharing. Sunny ☀️ is so adorable 🤩.
These are so cool, Pam!!! Cannot wait to try it!!! Yes, we have a heat index of 108* today in the Tampa area. Stay cool, Pam, sweet Sunny, and Papa!! 🐾 🐾🐾🐾
I look forward to watching what ever you do. You made me laugh so hard today! You are always upbeat, clever, encouraging, and fun! I’m off to a vintage shop to find some old playing cards. Thanks for the inspiration.
I totally enjoy your fun and inspiring videos! I haven't used washi tape too much but I like this application. I have been hinging & cascading photos in a scrapbook by using thin strips of cardstock or paper that I score down the center to make it fold. I like the washi tape idea - time saver and thinner, less bulk. Thanks!
Thanks Pam. I am trying to get some cards away from my grandkids. They usually have memories connected with them. So this is a nice way to preserve these memories. Thank you.
Thank you for the great ideas. I love your ideas and you help me to come up with more ideas. My great uncles and great grandmother played poker and I have photos of them playing so this would be awesome way to display them like a scrapbook but a journal to put in stories/ memories 😀 Love you! Thank you 😊
Have got an old pack of cards and will make a couple of these for future journals 👍 The odd thing was that I was born exactly 3days after that letter, opposite the page you stuck the first piece on, was written! I was getting dizzy trying to read the date, cos every time I moved the tablet the picture reoriented and I was getting so frustrated 😂😂😂 Yes I'm that old!!! Lovely stuff Pam, thankyou. Love n hugs from Victoria in England 😘👍🏻🇬🇧
Love this idea! I just found some old Owl cards that look like they are made with macramé cord, so vintage! Now I know what to do with them! Thanks as always!📕❤️
❤️🥰❤️ Pam, these are great!!! I'll have to make some to have on hand!! ❤️🥰❤️ I thank you for sharing about Etsy...this must be something new with them, used to be able to go to a shop from searching the name ...always something changing with them! I appreciate you so much & all the wonderful projects you share, my friend!! Have a beautiful day 💕🥰💕
Just found you and I love it. Love the chat chat. You are so funny and Yet very informative. I don’t have a junk journal but I am so doing this in my planner lol
Tried hand stitching but thimble was too loose. I carried on by gluing a felt scrap inside thimble but it wasn't sung. So, had to further carry on to find solution and using what I had, I discovered gluing my finger to the felt inside the thimble kept it on so that I could stitch by hand!
Great advice🤗 - make it with or without a journal. Making embellishments can be the “gateway” to going full-on journal making-lol. Eventually- you’ll want somewhere for all those beautiful embellishments to live-🌼 Your “use up pages” playlist is enough to make embellishments enough for ten journals 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Hugs to Sunshine from the Bostons 🐾💜 PS thanx for straightening up that jack 😂🤣😂
