Great review, I cracked mine with you. The citrus nose giving way to the peanut butter smoked sweet bbq was a thrill. My second committee release with Blaaack being the first. I really am enjoying this one! Loved the review and happy to have this bottle!
i got two bottles of the ardcore committee release and i absolutely love it it still has the ardbeg brine taste but underneath there is a nuance i havent had before with the anise note
They are getting up there in price. They retail for 150 USD before tax in the states, and my local store sold it for 175 USD. I also got the non-committee boxed version for 130 USD. Sadly, if they go up a little higher in price I will be passing on future releases
For me, Ardcore is like an advanced version of Ardbeg Ten with the enhancement from black malts. If you have the chance to taste the committee edition, more "spiky balls" will punch your taste buds xD. Appreciate the video!
Would you like to let me know what size of the T-shirt you were wearing? Because one of the bottle shop in Australia selling this Ardcord with this T-shirt, but I have no idea what size would fit. Thanks
@@ThyCorylus The line is blurry. I love Ralphys stuff, I just hope he doesn't embrace the grumpy old man persona totally. Having an audience changes what you do. You say the things that give you views. That subtly changes how you act.
I got the standard version of this (not the committee) and really got to say it was nothing special. I'm guessing the committee version is alot better. But was excited to try this as I lite stouts/porters etc.
good review, fellas. great call on the peanut butter, roasted nuts and coffee. to me it's a good dram but not great. i taste a lot of uigeadail in this one. i buy these every year and they are usually pretty good. i keep waiting for the next dark cove. in my opinion, the best special release ever. however, this might be the last one for me. it's good but not worth $150. it's starting to feel like a hustle. keep up the good work!
Came back to this I like it even more. It has I tension, but lighter and delicate flavors, a few interesting spikes. U know, maybe my fav from the last 3 annual releases. Almost has the character Bowmore used to have and lost. Similar to Big Pete blends in a way, but way more refined.
This would be for Ardbeg completists. I love Ardbeg. They are my favorite distillery. However, most of the special releases that I have tried have not lived up to the hype. I have not tried the Ardcore and unless someone generous gifts one to me, I will not be buying it. For now, I will just stick to the core 5 Ardbeg varieties.
I wonder if Ardbeg is attempting to appeal to the bourbon crowd with this committee release?? Everything you described in the palate reminds me of a bourbon.
Beside Corryvreckan and Uigedail, this is hard pass for me, all this special editions are just pure money grabbing, overpriced, hard marketing mediocre bottles.
The way Ardbeg us going I'm loathe to give them my money. Save the pennies for more worthy distilleries. Love the 10 mind. Also, for anyone believing this is collectible.... I'd say you're better off investing in tulips.
Not going to buy this expensive hyped stuff. 150 for a nas is just ridiculous! Not for the real whisky fans but for the bottle flippers and 'investors'.
hahahaha
can barely get through the opening without giggling
love it guys

Great review as always guys. 🥃👍
Instant like just on seeing the costumes

Cancel that netflix and cut down on the avocado toast.
Horst was in Wacken, that man does it all!
I really enjoyed this release.
Just was emailed yesterday that won a bottle of this in a limited release lottery I was in. Will be putting it in my collection .
Horst, now I want to know where you got that dutch hair growing solution from 🤪

Out the door in Folsom, California it was 138 USD.

Great stuff as always gentlemen. Horst needs to keep the earrings and the wig lol.
Was very tempted but decided to go with a known friend and replaced my uigeadail instead.
Yes I did see your earrings before you mentioned it and I also notice Ben's nose ring. Thanks for the video
Where do you get your glasses??
Oh man, cant wait to see Ralphy tear this whiskey apart.
There is a space in life for watching hatetube, haha:)
I doubt he will spend the money for an expensive NAS like this.

You two are my kind of Whiskeykeepers 🥃

My neighbor is an alcohol dealer and he gave me a bottle as a gift. We'll open it at the Christmas party.
🤣🤣🤣
Damn Ben looks like Ardcore Viking as well (beard + "tattoos").
I like the tattoo sleeves :)

Loive this review even without seeing it, you made the day, great outfits!
what's woth the tats... how.do those look so real
Great dram. Bought 2. Let folks at liquor store have some. Loooove it.
Thanks for the informative review. Sounds ok, but not better than the Uigedail for about half the price.
First Ardbeg that really felt like just a cash grab. Tastes very young and light in flavor, sad to see them go this direction
Yet the quality is like the old Bowmores. I agree, no value. But, a gr8 dram!
i'm with you. it;'s good but nowhere near worth the price.
Always Ardcore!!!
Horst, I really think those earrings are working for you 😂
Omg I thought those were real arm tats 😂😂😂😂
Can you try howler head wisky please?
Maybe in the future! 🙂
Horst had a pair of earring~ lol~
WAPERS!
Earrings. 😄😎 !!
These Scotch Bullshit offerings are getting way to expensive for my budget, Going back to American Bourbons for me!
I'll take 2 bottles of Ardbeg 10 for the same price.
Too bad any of the punks I know could never afford this
To pricey for a double drink looks Kool bottle
Name is cute but dear lord thats expensive

No more Ardbeg special editions for me....way too much $$$ for what it is. And that whole NFT thing they did....what a joke....

Releases getting pathetic. This isn’t craft beer, smells like a cash grab.
