The craziest story I've heard involving a Denny's is that this one time in Texas a Denny's was closing down and a punk band decided to ask the owner if they can play a gig there and the owner agreed. This event was known as "The Denny's Grand Slam" aka "2 am at Denny's".

The reason why the hot dog bun was soaked and the next one was stale is that the park just has a bunch of old stale buns, they train the employees to put them in the steam above some boiling water (maybe the hot dog steamer if they have one) so the buns seem like they are fresh. Source: me I worked at a place that did that back in the 90s. Seems like the old tricks never change. So then they didn’t “steam” the stale bun the second time and gave you what the other one started out as - a dry old stale bun that should have been thrown away.

I work at Denny's and I must say this is true 😂 especially now since we're extremely short staffed especially at night, it's mostly how things are setup. the computers take like 12 years to load, the menu is confusing, the kitchen layout and the way they make us do everything is just weird, but they pay well and I have some awsome coworkers and a chill boss tho

I had a coworker that was also a close friend of mine, and every night after work he wanted to go to Dennys for some kind of crazy burger combo. This man would not stop talking about this burger every single night, insisting I NEEDED this burger in my life. After a few weeks of me resisting his persistence I finally caved and let him take me to Dennys for this burger. We get there and sit down, took over 2 hours until we got it, it was 1 A.M at this point. The food was cold and unappealing in every way. My boy went demon mode on that thing, it was gone in like 2 minutes. The next morning he called me from the HOSPITAL saying he got severe food poisoning and his stomach lining was LEAKING. Never gone to Dennys since

Dennys has shit service. I had a waiter who got our food hella late, and right when I was about to pay and tip she was like “You ain’t tippin huh!” as I had already tipped. I was like “ No I did”, that made her quiet. I shouldn’t have tipped after that though 😂

I work at Denny’s as a waiter the reason everything is so slow is because the pay that we all get. Nobody is trying to work there to only get minimum wage and the managers only order food until they are out of it
And, in practice, the minimum wage isn't even the same $7.25 as it is for most other employee in the country, it's only $2.13/h. USAUSA! :'(

As someone who used to work graveyard shift, I think your underestimating the crippling health toll that such shifts have on people's bodies....I still like the vid, but pls think of the poor workers who have to work such miserable shifts, 100% on their feet with usually no breaks (illegal, but it happens a lot)
Yup I work 6 days a week no break. Another reason the food is so bad bc the turnover rate for cooks is so high
In my old job I used to basically work as a waitress alone for about 2 months in the summer serving every single customer and attending to their needs also handling all online orders, restocking from next door, and not a single break, nor did I eat and also the boss would get angry if we did -3- saying that we're wasting food when sometimes there's food sitting there in the hotel because no one came to pick it their online order the entire day and he doesn't want anyone taking it he just throws it in the trash in the end.. and I had also sometimes made the drinks and somewhat of a cashier when I had to on that one location plus I worked until my ankles would hurt they didn't go away after I had about 2 days off out of the 4 days om that location and plus I worked as a cashier on the next location next door that the owner owns but that one is always empty usually 2 - 3 people max in there I only worked Thursdays there but the other one is hectic atleast the coworkers are nice but just way too many people.. I quit the job back in August so that I could have more time and energy on my college classes (I just began college)
Sorry for the long paragraph but ya..
And the Denny's graveyard shift staff have to deal with all the local drunks, because when the bars close, they have to go someplace.

You have the same experience with Denny's as I have with Subway and KFC. Like terrible food, staff just ignoring you constantly. The difference would be that I ALWAYS get food poisoning when I eat KFC, and my subway ALWAYS looks like someone stepped on it and also is always the wrong temperature.

it's probably the people that work there. i went to a small town in texas and the next day before we left, we had breakfast at denny's and the service was extremely good, food was yummy, and our waiter was nice. i had pancakes, some bread, bacon, and fries with a coke. awesome mix. and to mention this was out of town. so the denny's in my town probably sucks :/
