    I used UDCarRental I like the fact they have good insurance, The car we hired was just a basic one. They were very good with airport handing the car over and when finished they gave deposit back immediately. Good company.

    Great video.. my thai gf and i do a lot of traveling too and had been there. However , I believe everyone should go to at least once to Lom Kao district in Phetchabun. This place is amazing ! In Khon Kaen another awesome temple Wat Thung Setthi . I could go on and the best monstery temple location in the jungle near Phitsanulok is Nam Jone , i stayed here for 2 weeks. Amazing experience and English is spoken by one of the monks.

    We have used UD Car rental many times. We have always been satisfied. I think it was a Swedish man and his Thai wife that started it. Always hassle free from start to finish. Sadly they where fully booked in January this year when we did the same trip as you with an extension to Chiang Mai, Pai and Mae Hong Son, so they did not have the right car for us. We ended up with a "scam rental" that cheated us instead. We have now bought a new big enough car but I will still recommend UD Car rental if the 2nd generation continue the same level of quality and service as their parents did.

    Greetings from germany.Very very beautiful pictures from your trip. What could be better than to explore Thailand in this way.... rent a car (much cheaper isn't possible) and drive from one highlight to another. And this has another positive effect. The mony you pay during that holiday reaches the locals directly and does not walk into the dark channels of the holday companies (sorry for my bad school english).This is the best way to learn and see a maximum of real live in your country and to have good contact to the people. This is the reason why we all love your videos and I hope we can see much of them in the future.Thank you and enjoy every day together.Stay helth and see you...

    There is some pretty awesome scenery on the winding road up through the mountains to the the Khao Kho area that's for sure. And a visit to Wat Phra That Pha Son Kaeo is an absolute "must see" if you are lucky enough to be travelling through that neck of the woods. The ceramic work alone is well worth the effort i thought. 🙏

    Nice area, Phitsanulok is also well worth the visit, one of the nicest towns in Thailand. I don't understand how car hire businesses can make a profit, 15 million bahts worth of vehicles sitting in the hot sun waiting for someone to rent them for 1000 baht a day. Then there's insurance, servicing, depreciation, it doesn't add up.

    • @TheIsaanFarang

    I can see why the guys on the motorcycle like that area. Most people when you mention Isaan think of a big flat Plateau with no topography. To bad they are missing out. Your video shows it to be Absolutely beautiful, I see now why dad was Gobsmacked at the sight of that temple. Stunning don’t keep us waiting to long to see part two. Last question did anyone get car sick? As a kid I’d always had to sit in the front seat when traveling on roads like those.

    • @TheIsaanFarang
      @TheIsaanFarang  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There were a lot of motorcyclists riding through the hills and mountains Samuel. Perfect terrain for bikers. Pook's dad was the same. As I told you when we met on Sunday, he said that he had been listening for many years when others described the beauty on the place...Now that he has seen it with his own eyes, he can tell others about it. No one was car sick. We never have that problem thank goodness.

    18 years ago I rented a car, & I debated on buying extra insurance, but I did, took it on several thousand mile road trip, under 100 miles before I got home, I stopped to check a interesting place out, & when I came back to car, I had someone's butt cheek imprints in the hood, with the corner of the hood lifted, so someone must have jumped, spun & landed on their butt on the hood of a strangers car? I showed rental place, & because I paid for insurance, I wasnt liable for anything, otherwise, yes it would have come out of my pocket as that car needed a new hood, plus paint on new hood, & car was brand new, under 4K miles when I rented it. I rent a vehicle every couple years, only had the 1 issue, which wasnt my fault
