Man I always got my reset while the ball was falling and now that u told me that I had to do it travelling up or at its peak, it definitely got way more consistent thanks man
I have been practicing these for a week now. Here are some tips for other people who are trash like me. 1. When you jump off the wall pause only for a brief second. The faster you get to the ball the easier it is. Really boost hard at the ball and turn last second. 2. Don't backflip until your car is basically vertical. If you do it too early it won't work. 3. Make sure you are hitting the ball off the wall from directly under the ball, or just to the side. Most people come from the side too much like an air dribble. 4. Make sure you are landing the reset more on the side of the ball instead of under it. You will never be able to pull this off unless you get higher up on the ball. These were the mistakes I was making. Hopefully this helps at least one of you who are struggling like I was.
If you're REALLY trash like me, instead of air rolling around then rotating backwards after getting your reset, you can just hold your stick directly left or right to turn 180 degrees, this will put you in the perfect position to musty flick. Might need to adjust a tiny bit if your reset was sketchy, and I feel like sometimes flipping a bit so my nose is pointing more downwards instead of behind me and downwards helps get a better flick. Not sure if this is a horrible way to learn it that will cause issues later though, so take my advice at your own risk

This vid has everything you need, for beginners keep in mind that you can use the line on the wall for an estimation for the best spot to hit, but it can be done from any spot as long you drive in the correct momentum / speed before you jump, witch indeed alowing you to create space to preform the neccesary flick with the reset, the line is basicly the easiest spot to setup the ball with the correct speed, dont forget to subscribe this man when you got the reset down! :)
Bro I stg I just watched your vid and hit my first 2 reset mustys immediately after. I was having trouble with step 3 and just needed to hear how to position my car to hit the ball in the right direction. I always end up out of position, but this helped so much!!!

The mistake I make is that I can’t adjust my car for the musty flick. My setup is good, reset is there, but when I have to make a little adjustment to the left or right I ALWAYS fail. Can you make a tutorial or give some tips on those adjustments?

I have finally hit grand plat 4 today. Before watching this video I hit my first no bounce flip reset musty. I have been grinding this one shot in free play for around 2-3 days (I did already know how to flip reset. By the way I’m in platinum

biggest tip i can say is to keep your momentum up, if you set the pace of the game to your pace everyone else would feel uncomfortable and be easier to outplay
For the setup, I noticed you’re getting 2 touches on the ball before it goes up the wall which I’m finding awkward to replicate so I’ve just been hitting it once so it’s fast enough but still not bouncing at all. While I can get the flip reset and the musty almost every time, my car is always at a bad angle so I can never follow it up for the double after cancelling the musty. I’ve tried everything and am copying everything almost identically - except for those 2 little touches in the beginning so is that integral to the setup or something?
I feel like the only thing I have trouble is not getting the reset but after I get it I feel like I’m already on the ground and can’t get a good hit after hitting the reset
So the main thing is the efficency on getting to the ball, I would recommend trying to air straight to the ball and not have any off target movements, let me know if that helps.
So I have a question, I ve seen freestylers do a reset but their car nose is facing the camera, then they flip a certain way, and it almost makes their car do a 180 then musty all combined together in one jump and I don’t know how to do it.

I feel like I’m doing too many air roll right before I get my flip reset and it’s effecting my musty because I don’t have enough time to make my car in the right position. Any help?
hmm im not sure how to describe it on a clock haha, I just meant that after the reset twist your car so the underside of the car is facing the floor, then you rotate the car backwards 180 degrees and then you backflip, hope that makes sense, let me know :)
Maybe you are jumping too late? so your car jumps from a higher point on the wall, making you go higher than when you hit the ball. Let me know if that's the reason :)
that’s cause you didn’t get the reset right. If you do it perfectly you can literally get a perfect musty when ur car is completely sideways without making adjustments
This is quite scary tbh 🤣 I just about manage to get a reset but doing the musty bit… idk about that 😂 I think im doing too much Im still only D1 as of now so im still getting used to aerial car control
