Cells and bacteria: playing with a compound microscope

Something different today: I played with a light microscope I just got and am rather surprised by how easy it was to see some really cool life and wanted to share some of the neat views. I'm a newbie at this, and don't know most of what I'm seeing (any hints or corrections appreciated!), but it's pretty cool regardless.
The scope is a (relatively) cheap Swift SW380T (nothing paid by them, just what I chose to get), and I swapped in the camera from a stereoscope to capture the images.

Thanks Asako! Really, this video is an outlier on my channel, but I'm more than just an electronics guy and sometimes stumble into something really neat I think is worth sharing--a comment like this lets me know it's actually useful. Cheers!

Look at some onion skins and pond water too

Hey, thanks for the feedback and suggestion! I left a bin out on the balcony and created my very own pond, it seems. Can't identify what I'm seeing at this stage (a bunch of little meatballs that hunt around with 3 or more cilia, as well as little tulips tied to springs that swirl water around and sporadically snatch backwards) but it's weird and cool. Will try the onion too :)

on my opinion the objective of those microscopes are china bullshit. A microscop is as good as his optics, so better you buy an old used Zeiss or Leitz and put quality objectives on it. Also the illumination and condensor are trash because they cannot be centered and so Koehler is not possibel. how many megpixels has the camera .....
