Its simple. They will replace the battery every few months so it will last longer. Maybe they will replace the battery at night because they not gonna record a video during night time right.
That's insane that this came up on my feed! This was the first securities firm I ever worked for as a trader for 6 years and then went retail as an adviser for another 6. Great firm, nice people and I loved living in UTC/La Jolla and pretty much walking to work everyday! Go LPL!
The lot behind the construction was also been developed and is a similar building that houses KPMG. The work been undertaken immediately below the US Bank building the camera was on is the La Jolla Commons visitor Parking lot complex.
I wasn't involved with the camera setup, unfortunately, I believe the property owner set it up. As I recall, the camera was just snapping a photo every few minutes and then archiving the photos. All I did was create the video from a few hundred still photos using ffmpeg. Hope that helps.
The camera was set up on the roof of the U.S. Bank building next to the construction site, I'm not sure by whom and have no idea what the settings were. It was taking a photo every 15 minutes, I just stitched them all together using ffmpeg.
@@AfricanTH-camr I don't recall exactly, but it was around 18-19,000 images. Figure it was about 48 images per day (one every 15 minutes for maybe 12 hours a day) for about 400 days. Or, another way of calculating it, 24 frames per second multiplied by 768 seconds of video. Somewhere in that ballpark.

I removed the night photos when creating the video. No construction activity at night so it didn't make much sense to include those. Also, it would have doubled the length of the video.
Can we take a moment and appreciate how long the battery of the camera lasted for recording all of this construction of this building for years
Same
the video gave me more questions than answers
Its simple. They will replace the battery every few months so it will last longer. Maybe they will replace the battery at night because they not gonna record a video during night time right.
It wa a collection of photos. Not videos
A year I would think if they weren't replacing the batteries. approximately 2 seconds/day. 348 seconds long, approximately a year
About 370 days + / - 20 days worth of video. Great timelapse!

Wow I can't believe that they made this in just twelve minutes!!
they can actually made this much faster if they use the ×2 play speed
Wow, I wonder how much it cost to build this and also how long?
shocked to see how much the tower cranes sway!
will harbuck they aren't swaying...
The cranes were swaying. Check the tall crane at 2:16-2:18.
Swaying is a good thing. Even steel is flexible. Would break otherwise.
😂😂
It simple
Great video! This must have taken some dedication.
6:08 RIP nice view of city.
this is so cool watchin this, lights flashing!
What is the foundation type for this structure? Is it Matt
aft foundation?
What was happening in the rear area where they made a trench to the parking lot? Is that an underground connection to parking? 12:15
That's correct

How long do you think it took them to build the building.

Great job ❤ Where your place?
Fascinating thank you for posting.
this was very cool to watch. im curious how long it took for the entire build.
Watching this on x2
May I use a part of your video? It's for my school project, non-profit. I will definitely give credits since the video is not mine.
Go for it
@@jorge2150 thank you sir.
How many years did it take to make this building

Can I please please use this video? I'll give proper credits. The video will be used for non commercial educational purposes
Absolutely...thank you
Can any architects/engineers explain why they spend the first minute digging then re-filling then re-digging the lot?
i noticed so much digging also?
how did you make the video from images? which software do you use?
I used ffmpeg www.ffmpeg.org/
How can you do this with videos taken from a surveillance cameras? What program do you use?
I used this www.ffmpeg.org/
Its only 12 -13 floors why does it needs obstruction lights ?
What sort of settings did you use for the camera? Was it set to take a couple pictures a day? Was this a video?
The camera was set up on the roof of the U.S. Bank building next to the construction site, I'm not sure by whom and have no idea what the settings were. It was taking a photo every 15 minutes, I just stitched them all together using ffmpeg.
How many photos were taken. Curious

I was thinking the same. No piles. No major footings.
How much Gb that took?
Hello! Is it possible to use your videos with timelapses on your channel, refill to yourself? Thank you!
Certainly, feel free.

had to speed up the timelapse .... they took too long to finish a 12 story building.
Depends on which country they were in. They may not had enough men to finish it quickly
i like how night passes by really fast
great video Jorge
video is no sound.
Yeah, that's because it was created from a few thousand still images. I guess I could add some music. :-)
Amazing !!!! TYSM for this time lapse

Amazing Changes..
It’s been 3 years Since you said this, what are you doing now?
it's actually slow motion. In reality, they finished the building in 2 minutes.

they really do just spawn one of those tower cranes lol
So you are telling me they used two freaking tower cranes just to build a 12 storey building 🙂
