Their catalogue is absolutely amazing spanning years of the emotion of divorce, addiction, custody battles, recovery, forgiveness, joy. Newer stuff is more positive, but you have to take the journey from the beginning to appreciate the change. If you go straight to the new stuff, like Down Here Waiting you’ll find them to be fun, enjoyable songs, appealing to a younger generation, but they will lack the story of how he got there and you won’t have the visceral reaction you had to this one. If you really want to stay with positive only then try Home, King, Moving On, 18th Floor Balcony, or Daylight. For darker their most famous is Hate Me. Worry List and Angels in everything are good transitions. As I mentioned in another comment your daughter would probably love Jump Rope.
I agrée , Ive followed since Jump Rope / Blue Skies , then went backyards to listen to everything prior. I’ve been a huge fan since . My fave band, can’t get tired of it ❤
@@BlackPegasusRaps Since you have a baby girl, you should check out Blue October- The worry list. It’s about his daughter, I think you’ll love it. The video is great! Please react to it 🙏🏼
It's amazing to see others listen to Blue October for the first time and then FEEL what we all FEEL every single time we listen to them. You listen to music. You FEEL Blue October. Justin Furstenfeld is a masterful song writer and performer. Like others have said, you need to listen to Hate Me. You will feel so many emotions during that song. (Hate me for all the things I didn't do for you...). His lyrics are so powerful.
Oh, glad to see someone reacting to Blue October! You need to check out the songs Hate Me and Into the Ocean. He's one of the first artists I can think of that really sang about mental health without sugarcoating or glorifying it.
This is a great rabbit hole! This group really has been doing amazing things for decades and they don't get the recognition they deserve. Glad to see people still reacting to them. His live performances are absolutely out of this world. I highly recommend watching some of the acoustic lives, especially of this song. Edit. He's definitely gone through it. He says this is one of favorite songs he's written. He said that he didn't even know he could feel or deserve happiness/ peacefulness, and after years of struggle, he's finally starting to get there, and this song is the product of that. Great reaction!
Live performances of Blue/Justin used to be almost like a religious experience...especially in his darker years about 20yrs ago. You could just FEEL everything that man was going thru....it POURED from his veins! And they would have the confessionals where ppl could go and get things off their chest and such. This last concert (2022) was so much more upbeat and it was a little different of an experience. Still PHENOMENAL performance, as always....but not quite the spiritual experience I'd had at the last 5 concerts. I lean towards the darker songs but appreciate the lighter ones too! :)
@@katjourneaux8859They still are "religious" experiences for me, and I'm not religious. Every concert I go to. I am in Blue October withdrawals right now because it's been months since they've performed near me.
Time for the Blue October rabbit hole , you won’t regret it . Feel Again (Stay) - song about his pending divorce and visitation with his daughter. Dirt Room - about past dealings with a record company. Early albums were dark because of addiction, his ex wife and keeping him from his daughter. Debris - official video is fire
OMGOSH!!!!!! You did BLUE OCTOBER FINALLY!!!! Blue October & Ren are the ONLY music I listen too. I have loved B.O. since Foiled came out. Justin writes from/about his life. He is INCREDIBLE in concert! And during the meet and greet the entire band is amazing!! Ryan Playing the violin breaks my heart ❤ Every song Justin sings is from the heart...
I'm sure others have said it in the comments, but if you ever have a chance to see them live, Go. Their live shows are next level emotional rollercoasters. I knew a few of their songs from the radio before seeing them at a festival here in Houston (their home town) and after they finished, I started to make plans to see them again as soon as possible. It's almost like a religious experience where there will be people all around you singing their heart out with every word, tears being shed, occasional bursts of laughter at Justin's dad dancing and probably some hugs between people who walked in as complete strangers.
Wow wow wow... BP reacting to my favorite band! You can't go wrong with anything from the 'live from Texas 2015' show. I recommend 'Light you up' 'The Worry List' and 'The Feel Again' tou won't be disappointed!
This is tearing at my heart strings in many different ways. Such an amazing song! New artist for me delve into! Thank you for reacting to this and to whoever requested it. Much love and respect!
Blue October goes straight into the heart and soul. Once you've experienced them live you know what music truly stands for. The guys are epic. And the fans are the Blue Family 🩵. Come on, join us 🩵
Great reaction BP! Blue October is the absolute best! Please, Please, Please, do yourself (and us) a favor and react to The Feel Again (Stay) live from Texas version. Holy crap it’ll blow you away! Love your stuff bro! Keep at it…..It’s what you were meant to do.
Welcome to the blue October family 💯💯. You need to check out alll their music..they amazing 🔥🔥🔥justin is a legend 🎤🎤🎤 you need to check out worry list...👀👀👀👀 Trust me
Blue October is his band & they’ve been around for awhile! He had a drinking & drug problem and he got sober. He wrote this song when his daughter Sadie was born! It’s such an amazing song!! Whenever I’m having a bad day this song is the song I’ll play super loud… ❤
Blue fan for life since 2004. Brothers are even better LIVE. And it's Justin Furstenfeld he is an amazing person and an amazing voice and the violinist in the band....just excellence.
So glad you did this. They've been one of my favorite bands for so many years. Everyone needs to hear this, absolutely 💯.. you should listen to the acoustic version as well. It's COMPLETELY breathtaking. He's such an amazing, raw soul. Much love. ❤
Thank you for this reaction. I love your authenticity brother. You should really spend some time with the Blue October catalog. I've been rocking with them over 20 years now. Justin (the front man) has been honest and transparent through all of his struggles, an that is why his music resonates. Through his music, he has opened up about his mental health, custody battles, drug addiction, recovery, and rebuilding.
If there's a bad Blue October song, I've never heard it... I saw them live for the 4th time shortly after my mom passed away... their songs are filled with so much emotion & sung with so much passion, I spent a good part of the concert sobbing in the vip section... it was truly cathartic & the release I needed... I hope this will be a rabbit hole you'll be diving head first into
Justin furstenfeld is the truth!! You’re the best black p, you’re always pulling out the deep cuts no one reacts to. If you wanna check out something from blue with a bit more attitude I suggest dirt room. Or if you want more like this worry list or coal makes diamonds are killer tracks too. Keep it up man much appreciated!
OMG How could I have forgotten Worry list on my list of their songs that have to be checked out. My daughter even has a tattoo that says "I might have been gone but I never walked out." b/c she met my husband at age 13, we didn't even know about her prior to that....she came to live with us soon after. Then again I think almost ALL BO songs are a must listen....it would be impossible to remember them all! LOL :)
I have never seen a band (since many of the Motown Bands) who actually are real and care about the people they play for. People love them and Justin's voice is a timeless voice that hits home immediately..it is amazing...they are amazing Blue October...I watched grown men thank him.
I can't explain the joy I feel when someone discovers Blue October, and they GET it. As you said, this is important. The stuff Justin sings about are important, to him and to others. I would recommend reading a bio about the band before delving into their music, because most (if not all) is autobiographical. It will make you understand why the music is so different in the beginning from the music at the end, why some songs are easy and happy, and others are tough and deep and hard to listen to. It will make you understand what the important things are that Justin is singing about. Enjoy the journey!
This reminds me of when I saw them at House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. I chatted with a guy who’d never heard of them before but came with his friend. Turned around about halfway through the show to see him sobbing, his face in his hands. I asked if he was okay and he nodded but said, “What…what is he doing to me?”
One of my favorite songs. I put this comment on his page and a woman blasted me saying that I was ruining the beauty of the song, but I can't see how. This song resonated with me so much at one point in my life. When my son was in his 20s and going through a bad breakup I played him this song. I said, "I don't know how to make you feel better, but I promise you that one day this is how you will feel." He's into rap and hip hop but he listened to the whole thing, and then time went on. A couple years later he texted me the video with a message saying, "You were right." It was one of the most beautiful moments in my life. Justin is an amazing artist. It has been great watching his journey and I think you will enjoy more of his music.
Found this group a few years ago by listening to hate me listen to that one look at the journey this man’s been on I’m still struggling but this makes me cry I want to reach the point he’s at enjoy the talent of this group wow wow wow 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Look up one of the live acoustic versions of Hate Me that Justin of Blue October did. The radio version was WAY different than how he intended it originally.
His LIVE performance in Texas (10th Anniversary) of the song Hate Me is phenomenal!! WAY better than the studio recording!! If you haven’t heard it… definitely go check it out!! 👍🏼😎
sometimes i think youre just trolling us haha but blue october is amazingggg i feel in love with "calling you" back in highschool and being slightly terrified of "Into the Ocean" but i grew to really love it it is a powerful song you should def dig deeper into them because theyve been around for a min and i just love them.
Men its insane, I've completely had forgotten about this group. i used to rock with them back at highschool and the university. Brings back so much memories, im glad I found it again and from one of BP reactions, something I've never expected tbh.. Thank you BP for being open to recommendations such as this and for that great retraction. This song too resonated with me, like they used to do.
Loved this reaction BP. This song is a repeat on my playlist. Blue October and front man Justin Furstenfeld have helped me through many challenging times in my life. Justin freely speaks about his mental issues, addictions, sobriety, life, family, and his love for music. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing this band live throughout the years and will be again in November! Just a few my favorite from Blue October: Jump Rope, Say It, Hate Me, Sway, Home, I Hope You’re Happy and goodness so many more!!
Are you seeing them in Phoenix this November? I'm definitely going to the Van Buren again after catching them there last year. It was something that sat in my soul to help get me through some heavy shit. I need a refresh of that feeling.
@@Simfyre Indeed, I am! I missed them on their last tour here, so I’m excited to get to see them again. It’s always an experience, a roller coaster of sorts that leaves you wind-blown, exhausted, and giddy… in they end, it’s nice to look around and see all the strangers that went on that ride with you and know we all went on that journey together and can stand a little taller, cause well, we made it through yet another powerful ride.
Love this song! The song writer, Justin, has said this is one of the best songs he has ever written. The lyrics are so powerful and hopeful. Glad you reacted to it ❤. You should also check out Hate Me. Very powerful song that also showcases mental health struggles and addiction.
I saw them live for the first time a year ago, since then I went to three more shows, I’m not a religious person, but believe me, it is a spiritual/religious experience, and yes, it is food for the soul. Stay well.
I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see you on Blue October. Balance Beam, Dirt Room, fucking so many songs. Calling You is my wife and I's song cause we started off super long distance. These boys deserve more love honestly Hate Me will savage your emotions but it's good. Their Foiled album was the emotional sound track to my early 20s while my wife and I were going through our only real ugly patch and the catharsis I got from that is how I got through it with my head screwed on straight.
Oh, he's been through the ish and back BP - drug addiction, deep depression and only seeing his daughter every two months for four days. You must check out a live performance - Blue October - Feel Again (Stay)(the live from texnopunk ! channel) about his daughter being withheld from him. I have seen them 5 times and Justin's live singing is out of this world!
I love Blue October! Justin Furstenfeld is the lead singer, he deals with mental health issues and addiction. I can usually tell in the earlier stuff if he was in a low or mania or level when something was written - weird I know-, because it is a lot like my Bipolar. Their songs have helped me a lot, and still do. I will dance in my kitchen with my husband or my sons to Home & Fear both. 💞 Hate Me was the first single off the Foiled album (still having issues with addictions). (Post getting Sober >>) Home is a great song, Not Broken Anymore (Awesome song because really do feel broken when dealing some of this).... just way too many to name. His live performances are Amazing -- Hate Me (10th Anniversary --Live In Texas) is easily one of the best live performances I personally have seen!!!! Of course, that's just my opinion. I have Fear No Evil (for me it is not Biblical at all) tattooed on my arm. For me that is basically the "demons" or just sheer BS that happens with mental health issues and trying to fight back on "them".
Fellow Coloradoan here. I saw them many many years ago at Fiddlers Green with Social D and it was an amazing concert. They are coming to Denver in Nov and I highly recommend you go if you can. Great reaction! Keep them coming man.
Yessir what a beautiful song brother. I’m a local here in Springs and I clicked on your thumbnail last night and haven’t stop listening to song since. Then I saw his acoustic performance of Fear in black and white my goodness watch that version too!! You and your family be blessed. Be cool to meet ya one day round town keep up the good work with reactions and your career! 👊✌️
Wow BP!! This reaction was so emotional and deep. This is the best reaction to any song I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen everyone one of your REN reactions. This was special. Thank you.
Even if you don't feel like you made it as a rapper I want you to know you are a fantastic reactor don't let that Be an insult because it is not❤ You are A DJ that helps me get through every single day no lie I wouldn't know what to do if you were off the air😮
The symbolism of Justin singing with waves crashing into him but not knocking him over… the song Into the Ocean is about him at his lowest. Now he’s literally in the ocean and it almost knocks him down but it doesn’t.
Blue October is incredible. If you continue to react to their music I suggest watching as many live versions as you can, as I think they really shine 1000% live. I saw them live last week (2nd time this year) and I loved their new music so much more live. Their music from the beginning when they started to now has really evolved along with Justin's own life, so its really a journey. Another reactor recently said their most recent song was a "sell out" because it was more upbeat and positive, but he couldn't even remember Justin's name after a few other reactions so I don't think he bothered to really look into the band at all and understand that their more recent music, which is more positive and upbeat, is in no way less real and genuine. I think my favorite song of theirs is Light You Up.
I came here specifically to see your reaction to my favorite band Blue October. This is about his getting past his addiction. He went through almost everything I have....and their songs have given me the STRENGTH to be the person I am today. His name is Justin Furstenfeld. Please take a journey with this band. Chameleon Boy, Hate Me, Any Man in America, Black Orchid....all SUPER powerful songs. Drilled a wire through my cheek is another fav of mine. Into the Ocean is another one, but more "pop." You also mentioned you have young children....so TOTALLY check out JUMP ROPE. It was one of my kids fav songs and has such an amazing message! THANK YOU for bringing this band to your fans....and this fan of Blue is now a fan of YOURS!!
Dude. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your reaction videos. But for this song, in particular. I was zoned in on your facial expressions towards the end. YOU KNOW what part I mean. I love you so much more for those reactions. Keep doing what you are doing. Blue October is what brought me to you. YOU ARE SO WORTHY!!!!
They are an amazing band live, as well. The audience participation was simply amazing and the band showed the love back. What Synchronicity. Great heartfelt music.
I loved when you said this will be a forever song. I listen to this song almost every day. It is an amazing song with so much meaning. Thank you and God bless you.
I’m so happy to see you react to Blue October. Been a fan of them for 17 years now and I haven’t heard a bad song from them. I’ve seen them live several times and they’re amazing live.
I fell in love with them after hearing Hate me! So dang good!
@@sarahsfavfan That was my introduction to Blue October as well! Been one of my top bands ever since.
@@bellarebelrose5896 great poetic description! It's going to be a hell of a party for sure.
Love this song! The song writer, Justin, has said this is one of the best songs he has ever written. The lyrics are so powerful and hopeful. Glad you reacted to it ❤. You should also check out Hate Me. Very powerful song that also showcases mental health struggles and addiction.
So happy for you that you discovered Blue October. Your heart will be forever full 💙
MUST do “Bleed Out” 🙏
The bnd is amazing in live, pls check their songs like light you up, or say it, or feel
These boys deserve more love honestly
Hate Me will savage your emotions but it's good. Their Foiled album was the emotional sound track to my early 20s while my wife and I were going through our only real ugly patch and the catharsis I got from that is how I got through it with my head screwed on straight.
b p you gotta listen to their song hate me
Oh, he's been through the ish and back BP - drug addiction, deep depression and only seeing his daughter every two months for four days. You must check out a live performance - Blue October - Feel Again (Stay)(the live from texnopunk ! channel) about his daughter being withheld from him. I have seen them 5 times and Justin's live singing is out of this world!
Justin is a true artist. He writes amazing songs!
Blue October is a fantastic rabbit hole to go down. Definitely would love you to react to Hate Me and 18th floor balcony Seen them live in Las Vegas
Hate Me was the first single off the Foiled album (still having issues with addictions).
Go down the Blue October rabbit hole!! Every album is just as great as this song!
Blue October is a great band, most of his songs are from personal experiences, great reaction, check out more you won't be disappointed.
Justin is a BRILLIANT song writer. I am in awe of how he has touched my soul through so many of his songs and even interviews.
His name is Justin Furstenfeld. ❤❤
Love this band. He is a super down to earth, humble human
You’re a legend for playing this. On a personal note, his acoustic version under Justin Furstenfeld is unreal (emotional)
Welcome to Blue October. The emotion and everything he puts into his music makes it so much better.
You nailed it. He writes his feelings/life into songs. Blue October is a life saver for so many people. Glad you experienced them.
I'm so happy this touched you so. This band has made such a huge impact on my life. I hope you check out more.
All of his songs are about his life and worth listening to. He really does put this much emotion into every song. Amazing! 🙌🏼♥️
Really love for you to get to one of the greats like Bob Dylan ❤his song it's OK ma I'm only bleeding 😮really shows you some of the beginnings of rap😊
This was a beautiful and powerful song! The singer is amazing! Glad you connected with it! Nice reaction! ✌🏻🫶🏻
Light you Up is phenomenal…I love Justin. He’s been through it and is so inspiring for humanity. ❤
Wow BP!! This reaction was so emotional and deep. This is the best reaction to any song I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen everyone one of your REN reactions. This was special. Thank you.
….and you’ve now discovered the magic that is Blue October💙
Even if you don't feel like you made it as a rapper I want you to know you are a fantastic reactor don't let that Be an insult because it is not❤ You are A DJ that helps me get through every single day no lie I wouldn't know what to do if you were off the air😮
BLUE OCTOBER!! The most important band in my life in regards to my mental health, and I'm 60 yrs old!! Please react to more!! 💙💙💙💙
This was a beautiful song. More importantly BP, you are a genuinely good guy. Thanks bunches for being real. 💛
Fear is Justin’s first song he wrote sober. 10 plus years ago! You’re gonna love this rabbit hole! Thanks for reacting to Blue October ❤
Blue fans are faithful fans. It is a rabbit hole worth falling into
The symbolism of Justin singing with waves crashing into him but not knocking him over… the song Into the Ocean is about him at his lowest. Now he’s literally in the ocean and it almost knocks him down but it doesn’t.
Joji, Glimpse of us. Truly amazing 😊
He writes all his music. He's absolutely gone through it!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this reaction. So genuine and beautiful. So many of Blue October's songs are raw and relatable. Please continue to explore.
Blue October have so many songs that resonate with so many people. Whether it's going through hard times or lifting people up.
Literally every song Blue October makes is a forever song.
💟
WOW can't wait to see this. This song brought me back to music after not listening to music for 10 years due to grief addiction and depression.
If you do more reactions I suggest live performances as well. They’re a band that always speaks to you about your deepest feelings and it’s amazing.
Thank you for recognizing one of the greatest bands ever! They have, and continue to help me through the hardest times of my life!
My second time watching you react to Blue October - Fear. Just got into watching reactions. I have been listening to Blue October for nearly 20 years. I absolutely appreciate you sharing your overwhelming emotional reactions and responses with us. Beautiful. I am so happy that you experienced that synergistic connection with the song, lyrics, Justin, the band…
This is imperative music. Listen to more Blue October. You are worth something!!!!❤❤
Just saw Blue October in concert last night and they played this live. It was incredible. Been following this band for a couple of decades now. They have some great songs in their catalog.
Его записи с концертов и акустические версии намного лучше обычных видео. Добро пожаловать в мир Blue October!
Dude. You’re not alone I love this song. You need to see a concert. Best concert ever!
