hey cap could you try and do the paro`s push one more time. i think they modeled the tailhook. because in a recent multiplayer session me and another player was trying that. and i felt it hit the side of my aircraft before hitting his aircraft.
That's right before the more recent update. And during a session I was trying it with another player. Before a sever reset and felt the tail hook hit me before hiting the other aircraft. So it may be actually modeled now.
Pro tip: If your depressed reticle system gets too depressed, it won't want to go out. Get some tea and warm blankets, and after a relaxing day together in the hangar, it'll be chipper and ready to go. :]
Thank you for doing this tutorial, my young teenage sons and I are new to DCS and have played a lot of arcade type fighter/bomber aircraft games on various consoles and have found what worked for the console based missions does not work in DCS as well. DCS is a lot more realistic and requires more attention to detail but it is fun figuring this out especially when you have a tutorial by dedicated DCS groups like Grim Reapers walking one through the steps and explaining the details with specific input for attacks on ground based enemies.
BAT-120s are a cool bomb for soft or light armored targets. Same family as the BAP-100 but a completely different use case. Rippling a rack of those on a super low pass is really fun.

No need to be a good pilot to take something out (in DCS of course before the pedants come around), just buzz it and blow the crap out of it.
QUESTION, Ok so here’s probably a good chance to get an answer to this for me So although similar aircraft design I’m talking about the l39 albatross . My question is Can all l39s really be made into light attack aircraft. Is it as simple as throwing on pylons loaded with a little rocket pod under each wing or adding the chin mounted 23 mm cannon pod like seen on Syrian L39s. Can that be done to every l39? Could let’s say the Cuban or Estonian l39s have these weapons attached and boom it’s now combat capable.
Absolutely yes. It gets more complex when you look at Ukrainian migs being retro-fitted with modern US weapons. That's when you have to create intelligent digital interfaces.
Hey Cap. Can you possibly do a comparison between the 3 jet trainers in DCS? I have both the C-101 and the L-39 so am unsure if the MB-339 will offer anything new.
As of the newest patch, none of the weapons are working, nor the gunsight. At least for me anyway. I have no ability to manipulate any of thge buttons for weapons other than selecting the station.
