Not so hard, but actualy is not that far. Polaris, is not a ship needed in most of the game. For real, if you use it for daily life, you underused it. You dont realy need so much crew. But when is needed, is closer to that. The other day on phase 3, whit 3 full crewed polaris, the feeling was answensome. we had almost all the gameplay we see on the video. The only thing we didnt see, its the enginers stuff, and thats actualy something that will affect to the enginers who play repairing the ship along it, or just the coopilot controling the inside of the ship from his table.
@@rooster1012 Hum no. There are laws out there and if a trailer is meant to be aired on TV, it better reflect the game in general or it's false advertisement, say hello to the judge. If this was on Steam, the false advertisement is also not allowed there and the game can be removed and refunded beyond 2 hours game time and above the 14 days grace period for a purchase in the EU. It's only because of the internet advertising that CIG allows themselves to make such "expectations vs reality" trailers.
No. But a) we don't have engineering now nor b) Maelstrom nor c) proper internal damage, so the only thing we have is a crew. It's required to have at least 10 - 12 people for best performance right now, add another 4 four engineering once that's a thing. A fully crewed Polaris has like 20 guys, including a pilot for that fighter. Since you also can add Furies to the cargo room, you may even bring more pilots. In the end, CIG always uses those commercials to give us hints for their final goals. So perhaps we gonna get all the tech required to recreate some of the stuff shown in the commercials? We've got that road ahead, but I doubt we gonna be there before 2026.
Gotta point out the obvious deception with the turrets as shown. The most juice I ever saw using the s4 laser turrets was 14 shots before I had to recharge. The same turrets in the video were firing non-stop. Hopefully that's the intended way because 3 seconds of shooting and 3 seconds of charging on loop isn't very fun.
You need to find the right people. Had 2 Polari take on an Idriss last night. All a bunch of ransoms that didn’t know each other. One was fully crewed, one was half crewed. I was with the fully crewed ship but in a Fury as we didn’t know there’d be a second one there and ours was full.
Now that you bought it, we are making it unusable by increasing rearm prices 1000% You should have done that BEFORE the sale. Indeed my eyes are open now about CIG, and I was an avid supporter.
Summary, Captain who could not be bothered to be on shift during start of battle slowly walks to bridge while distracting working crewmembers from doing their jobs so that he may point his finger at the enemy
You essentially do though. If properly piloted, the captain is going to dictate where the torpedoes are being fired. Not the person actually firing them. The person steering and the person firing are independent. The person firing will need to work with the person steering to get a solid shot off. The person steering will likely be steering where the cap tells them to go.
It’s pretty crazy that out of everything in this insane crazy trailer the only think you *can’t* do is launch two torpedos at the exact same time. Says a lot about how far the games come.

Love the opening... they really captured what it was like to go from waiting for the ship to launch and now that its finally flyable we are all old men...
let me guess the captains quarter is still unfinished
AND YOU GUYS RAISED THE PRICE AHAHAHAHA
It's still that way in 4.0, but don't worry, the Carrack has working cargo bay doors
This is why captain walking around instead of drinking whisky alone
1K for this ship, may as well buy a bunch of games worth 1K total. The value vs fun for this kind of ship is nonexistent.
Bro has like 30 engineers
will the polaris also have blastdoors it needs to have protection around the front like carack and cutter and Fury MX
Missed opportunity to have the captain scream "Fire EVERYthing !!!!"
Danke CIG das ihr uns dieses Spiel ermöglicht 🙏🏻 Wir teilen eure Vision und glauben an euch 🫡🤗
I had a TON of fun this week using the Polaris in ship to ship combat during the Idris event. Just need to work on framerate and desync and get engineering in. Man its going to be a lot of fun.
At 1:08 what are those automatic anti missile turrets? Never seen them before
Pdc’s in game now
@@Lordparable Thanks! They look really cool wow
F YEAH! Much love to everyone at CIG as always!
Why is the captain taking a leisure stroll at engineering in the middle of the battle? 👀
Epic.
The aging of the captain is clearly meant to represent the Star Citizen player base waiting for the game to come out.
I’m so happy I just went for this ship and didn’t melt through the years. This ship is going to really test cap ships.
Great depiction of the timeline from Concept to Flyable.
Jokes aside, the Polaris looks amazing!
Commander Riker is the captain, and he did "engage" at the end!
Epic trailer! Been enjoying crewing the Polaris with friends for sure!
A dream comes true. I love the ship. I hope there will be uniforms at some point we can store in the crew hubs and people can use them.
You can make your own uniforms by buying bulk gear and put it in the crew storage lockers? 🤷🏻♂️
If only the game was like that...
A man can dream
Not so hard, but actualy is not that far.
Polaris, is not a ship needed in most of the game. For real, if you use it for daily life, you underused it. You dont realy need so much crew.
But when is needed, is closer to that. The other day on phase 3, whit 3 full crewed polaris, the feeling was answensome. we had almost all the gameplay we see on the video. The only thing we didnt see, its the enginers stuff, and thats actualy something that will affect to the enginers who play repairing the ship along it, or just the coopilot controling the inside of the ship from his table.
The kiosk torpedo room is not included on the screen.
'Mom, can you buy me the MCRN Donnager?'
'We have the Donnager at home'
The Donnager at home:
Until we get the Javelin, that is definitely the Donnager
Advertising: Polaris 1-shots an Idris
Game: Polaris tickles the Idris's shields with a full torpedo barrage.
Cut the idris pdc off before and 4 torps is OS
Game: Polaris explodes from its own torpedos due to desync.
I had an absolute blast crewing a Polaris during phase 3. Way more fun than I imagined.
CIG can you please explain why the ship turrets are firing so much?
Mine only have 2 shots before they're empty 🙄
last patch upped the capacitor for them
@graveperil2169 I wouldn't call 10 shots per cannon a "buff" with full pips in weapons.
The perfect example of the classic "expectation vs. reality". The experience is nothing like this.
Which is literally every video game trailer ever made.
have you done stanton 3 in a group with one?
@@Doomguy-777 WoW ads never show gameplay, only cinematics. Many games do that. is this a brand new law or something?
That Polaris must have a tier 5 power plant. My power plant must have come from the bargain bin at Dumper's Depot.
Skill issue you need to put power to weapons
@@adrianhartanto159 14 shots is literally full power to weapons. Nice to see you haven't even tried it yourself before deciding to comment.
Try to change weapons...Attritions go Brrrrr
Cant wait to be a Engineer/Medic on of of those! Oh wait.... no one actually wants crew on their ship :(
You need to find the right people. Had 2 Polari take on an Idriss last night. All a bunch of ransoms that didn’t know each other. One was fully crewed, one was half crewed. I was with the fully crewed ship but in a Fury as we didn’t know there’d be a second one there and ours was full.
Go to rp group or larger orgs usually you get a place on those ships
Hope for the social tools announced by cig during citcon or wait for npc’s.
you are always welcome , join MYRMIDONS , we looking for crue for Polaris / Idris etc
Unrealistic, torps didn't explode in the bay on launch.
The size 10 torpedoes making through a Idris PDCs is so misleading.
Nah we did it last night. Need to take the PDCs offline first.
@@ruzhyox or misdirect them with fighters/missiles. Its very doable.
@@AlexeiX1rattler spam!
Sounds like a skill issue.
You could fire them Point blank so Idris Pdc didnt have time to shoot it. It still need a lot of Torps tho
If only the Polaris was capable of doing any of the stuff in this video....
Now that you bought it, we are making it unusable by increasing rearm prices 1000%
You should have done that BEFORE the sale. Indeed my eyes are open now about CIG, and I was an avid supporter.
FPS Optimalization when? Working DLSS when?
I'm getting 20-30 FPS with 4070Ti which is crazy and DLSS on perf. does 2 FPS difference
thanks for releasing BMM, finally, very excited about it!
Summary, Captain who could not be bothered to be on shift during start of battle slowly walks to bridge while distracting working crewmembers from doing their jobs so that he may point his finger at the enemy
THAT was a brilliant cinematic!
Even the torpedoes were able to hit the target
And they launched a couple at the same time, which is also not possible.
When I bought SC kickstarter back in 2012, bitcoin was 12$...
just beautiful
All i could think while the engineering room was exploding was:
We bring to you the RSI Polaris: The last ship you'll ever serve on.
McDonalds commercial versus ordering the McDonalds vibes
I love the nod to Star Trek with the colors on the bridge crew
Song name: Stellar Force by Alexandros Nikolaidis
I just gave yall money toward the Merchantman please release soon :) i want to set up my trade business with hull-c drivers bringing me cargo
They forgot to add the desync and lag
Oh, my , groot!
This is the best clip you guys ever did.
*Gosebumps 4.0* o7
1:46 BIIIG Nope! you CANT do THAT
You essentially do though. If properly piloted, the captain is going to dictate where the torpedoes are being fired. Not the person actually firing them.
The person steering and the person firing are independent. The person firing will need to work with the person steering to get a solid shot off. The person steering will likely be steering where the cap tells them to go.
@@randyfiglehorn9192 No you cant 2 Torpedos at the same Time! only staggered with more delay
It’s pretty crazy that out of everything in this insane crazy trailer the only think you *can’t* do is launch two torpedos at the exact same time. Says a lot about how far the games come.
Love the new ship! I am looking forward to it!
this is proly one of the best adds yall have done chefs kiss
