Its just to mess with the opponents head and make u feel like hes getting a boost.
It is supposed to be speed reading. Your brain gets the ideas by looking at the words, without really reading actual sentences. We all do this at lesser levels, i can write "Nintendo" and you really didnt read it, you recognize the word Nintendo by itself.
All that being said, the way GO1 flips the pages, makes me think he does it more out of superstition than actual speed reading. He dont even get to see a single word by how fast he flips the pages, and doesnt even pay that much attention either. Yet he does it religiously everytime single time he plays. I dont doubt it started as an actual habit of speed reading, to trigger ideas in his brain before every match. But i bet he started to develop some sort of compulsive behavior where if he didnt flip the pages before everyatch, he would feel uncomfortable. Plus, japanese people are very superticious.
Anyhow, thats just my theory, im a conspiracy nut.

Also, even if every pro knows the combo, converting into it off of a random vanish in the clutch in a tournament situation is probably a whole different story, even for the pros :)

@@Pannykun Well, I guess it's been a few different factors. One of them being e.g. that the game got kind of stale for me at that point - and also the fact that I made the transition from pad to arcade stick and sort of was unwilling to basically rebuild the muscle memory for FighterZ from scratch.
This being said, season 3 is reeeealy tempting :> While I'm still sort of on the edge on whether to come back to the game or not due to a lack of spare time at the moment, those selectable assists are really sweet^^
MD GEISTo You really should tbh. With all these new assists, it kinda fundamentally changes the game. Once you get in game, you know exactly what I mean lol

@@cholkymilkmirage4984 That's very true! Definitely the most entertaining game to watch pro's play. I used to watch LoL and DOTA championships but they aren't as intense as DBFZ. The momentum shifts are so crazy! Plus the game is gorgeous!

@@TheFirstHueKage The only reason people aren't playing broly at the top like sage, is because they're scared of fuzzies. Broly is the best zoner in the game, has a 17 frame grab with dirty mix up tools, and he has armor all day long to just eat hits and beat ass. Broly's only weakness as a chracter is his height, and since fuzzies are going away he'll be one of the best in the game even if the rats don't get nerfed (but they most likely will). If broly doesn't get nerfed he'll be the king of this game unless everyone else gets uber buffed.
