Here's the thing. While people continue to hate on SonicFox, they fail to realize one glaring fact: if he exploits broken characters, if what he does with so many DIFFERENT characters to other players is so simple and easy, then why can no one else on the planet consistently do it? Give him his props as the best, or beat him to prove otherwise. Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on winners.

Sonicfox is like doomsday, adapting to his opponent's playstyle, slowly learning their weaknesses through trial and error, and by the third round, having a totally different playstyle fix to defeat them constructed from everything the opponent fears

A simpler way to put it is that people like rooting for the underdog.
Not sure why people are complaining about SonicFox's playstyle in the latter matches. Momentum began to shift at the halfway point and Grandpa was figuring out Sonic's initial strategy/playstyle. He found more success once he began relying more on Alien's acid as an anchor and Grandpa was struggling to respond.

When Sonicfox plays, it feels like he can win at anytime. He’s just making it interesting.
This sonicfox is a unique fellow. I won't dare compare him to great sports athletes, but you are watching greatness. Just enjoy it, because he is a savant.
I remember being there in person for this, live. As you saw, the crowd was going nuts during that pixel of health scramble between the two players. It was so crazy to watch but so much fun to be a part of. I wish I could do it all over again.

This video never gets old. I like sonic fox. When it comes to me and certain characters I don't know how to play I usually spam to survive especially with alien. But there comes a time that.... Hmmm I lost my train of thought.......... Oh yea there comes a time that spamming can get a little annoying especially with acidic alien because the more you spam with his acid then you already know that your going to win be cause of all the acid on the character but hey as long as foxy grampa gave him a fight worth while then it was worth it.

If you look at Foxy playing closely, he has only four things that he does every god damn round:
1. The combo that ends in the jump and stabs in the chest.
2. Throwing projectiles
3. One type of throw
4. Blocking
Meanwhile, Sonicfox displays a much larger variety of moves and adaptations. There you see an instant difference between someone who's a great player and someone who is "just good".
Any child that plays Foxy for half an hour can pick up what he is doing.
