I wonder if her saying "my lawyers will be in touch" IS a legal thing - there's a whole deal where if you don't pursue copyright infringement issues, you gradually lose the rights to whatever it is (which is why Nintendo goes hard for a lot of Pokemon romhacks). So her "threatening" legal action could be just so that she appears to be pursuing copyright infringement stuff without having to actually go after all these people.
I doubt it, since I'd imagine that the remixes would fall under fair use.

First time I've heard of her since today haha. But hers is one of the best example of artists engaging with her fans, trolling them and telling them they love their remixes fully embracing the meme material they made out of her and not holding grudges whatsoever. I was expecting it to be one of those stories when an arrogant artist is a dick to to their fans type of thing. When in reality if it weren't for the fans, they won't be famous in their art in the first place. She's one of those musical artists they deserve the fame, I just hope that fame won't get in to her head and she stays humble as she is.
