I've been using the first version of the mod and it's been great. Lots of passion from the NASCAR Community and really happy to see this 20 years later. Let's goo!!!
Looks like a great tool to use and can't wait to try it. Really interested in the 60fps option and the ability to adjust the AI strength per track. Cant wait to see what comes out in the future!
This might be the way i can actually play this game and have fun as i was a Nintendo kid this game was mysteriously not there and haven't really been into playing it otherwise because it just feels like a slightly improved 2003 but with this mod i may as well since multiple years will be available for me to go through
@@miregoji2959 eeeeehhhhh that doesn't seem to be a fair case to be honest like 2006 ok i get it but thunder 2004 being just thunder 2003 with updates and that was on the GameCube yeah no there really isnt an excuse about size
@speedhunter7156 apparently they canceled the GameCube port but still made a PS1 port that was just NASCAR 2001 PS1 with an updated roster...I call BS on the disc space too, 2006 not on GameCube makes more sense as the GameCube really slowed down getting games after 2004.
The progress for 07 is a little weird for anyone wondering. Base mod is done but im also doing a repave addon, adding more schemes, busch series is finished, new billboards, grass, etc. Im retexturing everything i can get. We found out the newer version of ps2 track textures work in this game so i can backport 09s track textures to 04 like i did for watkins glen. Menu images on thr other hand ehhhhh
This makes me wish my career mode for the game isnt over (done 5 season on my channel) i just got to wonder about something, is it possible to add/replace a driver from scratch? Like for instance, what if I want to put myself in the game, paint scheme rating and all with a number not in the game (mine would be 55 for instance) would something like that be considered possible? What if i want to put a whole bunch of buddies of mine that i race with as opponents in the mod. Do you think that could work? Be really cool if i made a mod specifically including my online pals.
Absolutely 100% possible to add/replace a driver from scratch. We were talking about making a Cars movie pack at one point. Was joking with my buddy about making an eNascar iRacing series pack for fun (it'd be very meta lol). You can put whoever/whatever you want in the game driver and stat wise, real or fictional. That said, you'll have to wait for the advanced tutorial for that exact thing to be explained out (you technically can do it now, but you'd have to mess around with files to figure it out and look at what I have laid out in the folders lol), but it's gonna be a lot easier with this tool that it was prior.
@@AJFails I think I rather wait for the professional to do it LOL you'd probably have a better idea on how to do it and I wanna be sure I'm doing it correctly you know? Thanks for all that you do for the community.
If the driver names updated but the textures aren't loading at all, then you didn't select the correct location for the texture files. If the new textures loaded, but in the wrong places, then the cheats are not working properly. If you have further questions or need more clarification... I recommend the 2024 pack video (as I explained things a little better) or joining the discord and checking the pinned posts in the mod troubleshooting channel. If you're still stuck you can message for help there and get more direct assistance.
Okay so I’m having a bit of trouble I downloaded the 07 pack and the data is linked the chest and texture folder however in my texture folder it was blank nothing in it no slu or replacements nothing so I just linked it there anyway and when loading the game it literally shakes and none of the textures are loaded in but it appears the models did change and the numbers, driver pictures, and names do not line up, fully randomized and I double checked that textures were loaded Edit: I have the directories set up but textures still fail to load
Did you put the textures in the replacements folder? I cover that a little better in the 2024 pack video btw. The shaking is an emulator/graphic issue, it should stop when you toggle textures on/off but if it doesn't try messing with any sort of graphic settings. If you still have issues after this please join the discord and check the pinned posts in the mod troubleshooting channel then ask for help if still needed.
For doing what exactly? Applying the stats based on real life stats for each individual race? Because swapping car packs, mods, and paints is plenty easy enough I think.
Not that I'm aware of but I also didn't look into it at all. I thought you could use assist in career, didn't know you couldn't because I never use them.
@@AJFails u can still use it but only has limited assist. Full is not allowed on career mode. Can you somehow hacked it so we can access the assist to full?
@@jasonpamatmat3797 Possibly when I have a chance. There is a lot of recent discoveries I've stumbled into and want to focus on first. But I did make a note to look into it.
Unless the custom build of PCSX2 needed for this mod works on there then I doubt it. Also you'd have to get the Mod tool to work on there or at least create the files and know what and where to copy/paste the files.
No. Texture swapping is done via the PCSX2 emulator itself. The rest of the mod stuff 'could' be converted as they are technically just cheat codes/hex data changing, but it'd take a complete rework of the tool I created from the ground up. Also not sure how you'd get the output from the tool to something that OPL can use.
@@AJFails yea I figured that out. Might need to join the discord cuz my cars and drivers don’t match and like for Stewart they show a picture of sr lol

how do i even get the nt2004 mod master to even open?
It's just a program, you double click on the Application/.exe file.

when i go to click load core pack nothing pops up in the drop down menu, any idea why?

In the emulator go to Settings -> Folders -> Cheats Directory should be the 2nd one from the top
that's the path you need for the tool
Any way something this seamless could be made for NR2003?
