I like the non-talking videos, because it shows us what you hear. Which is the wind and falling snow. I don’t need everything explained every single time. 😊
your camera is on an entirely different level…stunning clarity, sharpness and color.
Luke is a professional photographer. He was shooting commissions before his channel took off. The stunning color effects might owe something to his skills at manipulating images.
I find it amazing that very few, if any other people making these videos uses a ground sheet under their tent.
That filter is perfect for that scenery. It makes it look other-worldly. Gorgeous. I think Peter Jackson would be very impressed.

To test its water proof and if I’m stuck under a tarp because of weather I want as much room to move around as possible.
Besides testing tents, there is the terrain. Best placement for how Luke wants to use the tarp, may not be good for the tent. The camera does not give an accurate picture of how level the ground is.

I actually am curious about a recent experience i had with an outdoors gear supply phone call... Unlike ANY other stores, this one played the actual sound, then the name, of different actual animals you might hear or encounter in the wild. Has anyone else come across unexpected, yet appreciated, instances where just a small inclusion like real world animal noises during a hold for assistance on a call just brightens your experience?

No voiceover: there are plenty of images that stir the thinking of those of us who have done it (or learned from your videos.) MY OPINION is that you have the tarp draining uphill, where drain water will wash into your shelter area.
Cameras are not good at accurately showing the way the ground slopes or how level it is.

Couple of questions….already asked many times before, but why do you put your tent so far aware from your tarps and why do you continually use that kettle that you trashed in earlier reviews? Also, your tarps resemble the Ukrainian flag…
Ground under the tarp is not necessarily leveled for a tent nor does it necessarily have anchor points for a tarp. Regarding the kettle, I completely share your perspective. It doesn't make sense for him to promote a product he previously trashed in an earlier review.
He is being fair, giving the gear a chance. Who knows, it may grow on him.

I think 99% of the camping videos I watch, the campers have their tents under the tarps. Luke is the 1% that doesn’t.
Thought the fire starter was a snack and I was just about to send a comment about “ pre digested cra….Had to hustle to delete. Frequently my finger writes faster than my brain dictates.
I only found his other channel a few years ago and this channel less than a year ago. I don't think he reads our comments/questions, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't respond to them, but maybe he answered why he doesn't camp with a dog before I began watching his channel. Does anyone know? I was just curious because they're excellent for security as well as companionship.
Hi he has mentioned in a video that he doesn't bring his dog because he has a lung condition that prevents him being able to breathe in the particles that dogs give off from their musky dry skin he can't be super close to his dog in other words like sleeping next to it etc hope this helps 👍

I usually don't complain about when TH-cam show their food they're about to eat.I know a lot of people don't like it. And some people show their food so close up to the camera it's uncomfortable. If I'm making homemade ice cream or something like that I will show it or the ingredients that are going into the ice cream that I'm inventing or the confetti I'm putting in that are shaped like butterflies I'll show those things
But when people put that up to the camera so close to let you know what they're about to eat and when people tell at them that it's uncomfortable or even if they don't like it, And the old man he says yes you do.. I find very toxic because we're not gonna say we don't like it if we do. Then it's gonna trigger a few people and they're gonna start attacking. Because you want to control how they feel. I really don't care when you or any other TH-cam show what you're eating it looks like mush to me. But when they put it up to the lens so close that you feel like it's about to go down your own throat LOLI have to laugh. It's unsettling. Next he's gonna chew it and open his mouth and show you what it looks like then. Some men are such big babies. I used to watch a TH-cam channel of an urban explorer and heat sit down and eat on his break and he would actually show you the food he chewed right up to the camera it was disgusting. So if you have the need to show what you're about to put in your mouth fine but just no don't tell me I like that when I don't. And put it right into the camera lens cause that's intrusive. Your channel do what you want but don't tell people what they like and don't like. Because I will Let you know. Enjoy your mush.

That lighter is hard to start in the Flat lands of Northern Indiana. I wish I would not have bought it.
The Soto lighter works excellently. A little warming up before using it ensures it operates without any issues. I always carry mine in the pocket of my inner jacket, so it's easy to access and use whenever needed.
@engrmoutassim I carry it exactly like I do my mini bic lighter. Which by the way starts every time. I would rather just use that or my ferro rod. 10 seconds playing clik clik is annoying
