@@jordyjakequeen8404 I live in Southwest Louisiana and we can have some torrential rainstorms. I don't like to hear there are hail and tornado watches, plus we get hurricanes and tropical storms. I don't like to be out in those heavy rains, though. To stay dry in a heavy rainstorm, one would have to be covered in plastic from head to toe. It started to pour down when I was leaving work, once, so I went back inside and fashioned a full-body rain suit by putting two eye-holes in a huge plastic bag, put it on and got home without getting soaked. I wondered what people would think, if they had seen me wearing that huge, black plastic bag. LOL! 😂
Luke, I'm so at ease listening to you talk about how easy we have it, compared to 100 years ago. Working with the earth to survive has gone extinct over the last couple of generations.

Hi Luke, I'm not a camping kind a guy but after watching your channel I'm got attached to the adventures and now I'm collecting all the camping stuff and survival kits just to start my strength and honor journey, thanks for the wonderful video Sir, strength and honor is the best thing from you
But start it out slowly. Don’t start with storm camping. Without experience it can be very dangerous. Start with dry weather then maybe some rain camping
I agree with Luke. AquaQuest makes excellent tarps. I’ve used my 10x10 Safari for shade or cover in a thunderstorm. Camping at campgrounds is a good way to start. I like checking out other peoples gear and test out my own. And I’m close to my vehicle should I need it. My Big Agnes Copper Spur 2 person tent has great ventilation and has remained waterproof in several storms. Good luck in your adventures.

Return the tent! By the way, I live in Knoxville tn and was in Johnson city not far from Bristol TN the same weekend you did this video! You showed the tornado warnings near Knoxville. I remember checking with my adult son as the storms moved through Knoxville. He loves camping and gear. So I sent him this video link to watch you. I told him how good you were at reviewing equipment and how much I think he would love your videos. My favorites are the downpour rain, storms, and blizzard videos!
If it were me I would just send the tent back. It was expensive but cheaply made. There are other tents on the market that are better. It’s not worth further testing. Excited about your trip to Japan. I lived there for a year and half. Love Japan. I have been back a couple times. Camping there will be different. All I ever saw were private campgrounds but the beauty of Mt Fuji is worth it. Japan is a beautiful country.
I love Volcanoes National Park! I just left Hawaii 2021 after 10 yrs this time. I grew up there, but have been in SC most of my adult life. I love Japan too. Went to Osaka solo in 2018. My first solo trip at 57😂. 🤙🏾🤙🏾🌺🌺
Its so cool that you have Lone Wolf Mtn to do all your testing at. Nothing finer than having a piece of dirt that's YOURS! So beautiful and quite there.

Is it me or can anyone else relate that it feels like we're their with Luke camping. Idk but every time i watch this channel i feel like I'm there chilling also.
Nope. Haven’t expierenced that yet. Part of it may be that I do not and would not ever camp if it’s not cold outside. I don’t get the point of laying out in the woods fighting mosquitos and sweating all night. My rule is if it’s green outside, I’m not going.
You filmed fireflys. That's pretty good. The rain pooling up on the tarp. You are an artist. The tent leaked, a little, but you didn't float away. Camping is supposed to be a LITTLE rough. But, just for fun, you should keep it and do an awful rain test just for fun.
No reason to test it in the rain if it leaked like that under a tarp. Unless you want to see just how much water it will collect! Love your videos! You my friend ROCK!!
Thank you so much for this wonderful video, I would love to save the money to buy a tent ⛺ like this, HUD sold the property these apartments are on, so me and Evelyn my sister May be homeless in February 2024,I have watched your wonderful videos every day and night too learn how to fix a tent.i thank you so much from my heart Matt 😊 please keep me in your prayers.thank you so very much and I appreciate you so much.😊😊❤
What a great episode! I've been a fan of the channel since the beginning of covid.Thank you for the fun adventures throughout the last few years. As far as that horrible tent goes, I say, keep the tent and test it to see how bad it fails!
Haven't seen Susie in awhile. See if you can get her to come along soon. You sure know how to set up tarps! A 20ft by 13ft tarp with 4 tall and 4 short Elephant poles!---Wow that's 260 sq ft! For sawing wood, I like my Bauer small 20V chainsaw although I do own a Silky Gomboy too. I was glad to hear Susie on the phone. It reminds me of Charle's Angles.
I have one, 9" 240 teeth; it never ceases to surprise me at how easy I can cut off branches & process firewood. Just remember it cuts only on the PULL stroke.
Luke I am happy to see your Aquaquest monster tarp get so much use and it holds up well under heavy rain. I got one back about a year ago and rarely get this type of rain levels to use it in. I am in SC and it is way too hot most times of the year to even try during rain events.
Concerning the tent, I'd return that one and rain test the replacement. You know that one is already compromised, so checking another would confirm it's a materials issue if it leaks as well.
I love the tent I personally would put a tarp over it so I could sit outside if it rained or to just keep the dew off..here in Eastern ky we have a lot...Susie has good taste..another great video!!
Luke … Outstanding video!!! Love your music and can’t wait to see the trail can videos!!! Send the tent back with a letter describing its initial faults … and make them aware these were initial observations and faults … and not an in depth review! See what they say and then let us know. That’s what I would do. Finally, I just wanted to tell you how impressed I am with how you and Susie so complement one another; you are two very lucky people to have each other!!! Until your next video, take care, be safe, best wishes and God bless!!! Chuck Knight from Buffalo, Texas. 👨🌾✝️🙏🖖👍🏼
You really love your broccoli!!! What a great setup. I call you the bagman. You have more bags full of such interesting stuff! Have you ever tried dryer lint to start fires. It works great and it is free. We use it all the time.
Kudos on the wonderful lively bumper intro music! Wow. What a storm. What an adventure. Glad your tarps were set up so well and worked for your protection. Thunderstorms are no joke! I've lived in places with serious thunderstorms but have little camping experience in same. Thank you too for the magic of the Fireflies as I miss them - we do not have them here in Arizona at least not here. I vote you and your lovely wife return the tent.
The beer is from N.O.D.A. It stands for North Davidson (in Charlotte). It's the little "Arts District" of Charlotte NC, near Neighborhood Theater, Salvador Deli, The Dog Bowl and all those other "trendy" spots, venues/bars/restaurants/hotels. Like another small town exclusively for hipsters just outside Uptown. You could call it East Ashville, *FAR* East Ashville 🤣 It's a cool place though.
Right you are! They (all) belong to every American. We,that are owners have the right to make their laws and codes. Not a bunch of we could care less, city dwelling folks, sitting on chairs 90% of their lives. GO !LUKE GO!
Luke, a suggestion- pour your coffee packets in your mug before the water- you’ll get a better mixture that won’t separate - and you may not even have to stir it. 👍
Watching a thunderstorm rolling in with nonstop thunder, watched your video. Love the sounds of those guerrilous birds, paired with video scenes of your beautiful place. I'd give it to the grand kids to play in. Otherwise send it back!
One of the rare times I see you pitch a tent under a tarp. A New Zealand couple. A el and Victoria, does it all the time. The tarp angles down to the rear of the tent for rainwater to flow down. The test of the tarp provides an awning owning in front of the tent entrance. They cook drink, eat, chat . In comfort under the owning and enjoy the rain it snow.
My wife and I really enjoy your videos, especially when you involve your wife like the phone call today. Your videography and editing is very well done. We’re thinking that tent needs to be returned 😮
While I was in the Marines we were made to hike up Kilauea from the base camp at PTA and from the base camp to summit Mt Fuji, fun times... I've always wanted to summit Mt Kilimanjaro or hike the Milford Tract in Fiordland, New Zealand.
Excellant photography and drone photography. Fabulous editing and shooting for a lone guy. Way too much stuff for back packing and canoeing. Good channel.
Glad to hear your coming my way. You won't have to worry about snakes or tics on the Big Island. And you might get some nice rains in Hilo. But thanks for the episode. Your rain storm even rivaled some of the Asian videos.
You mentioned bugs don't like red light and that's true. They REALLY hate yellow light, lol..red and yellow part of that color spectrum that repels them. Ever been to a county fair or midway carnival--most of the carnie rides, concession/popcorn/food stands burn sockets/strings of those bright yellow bulbs. Yes, it's visually appealing--kinda makes you want to EAT! Buy some popcorn or anything you like! Red and especially yellow bugs don't like.
It rained here in New Hampshire for the most of June lol. We got at least 6 inches of rain in the past week or so. Now it’s 90 and dew points in the 70s lol. Dew points that high is rare here
thank you for all your relaxing and informative videos! return the tent. if it leaked underneath all that tarp, it'll leak bigtime out in the rain 100%

I love the tent I personally would put a tarp over it so I could sit outside if it rained or to just keep the dew off..here in Eastern ky we have a lot...Susie has good taste..another great video!!
Very unique tent with some cool features. But the cheap material makes me hesitant. I’m a vote for returning it.
Awesome that ⛺ is amazing thank you for showing us what is out there take care and God bless
The rock music opening! 🤘🏼
You really love your broccoli!!! What a great setup. I call you the bagman. You have more bags full of such interesting stuff! Have you ever tried dryer lint to start fires. It works great and it is free. We use it all the time.
I love this adventure! Test the tent further. Stay safe, say hi to Susie!!
Very interesting tent. Like the design a lot. Great color. Unless you are stealth camping.
Might work if you're stealth camping in a field of tulips.
The ease of set up seemed great but I think it needs a true rain test! Give that Poler a test!
You could call it East Ashville, *FAR* East Ashville 🤣
It's a cool place though.
Luke - My poison is coffee too!
To me not being able to film a national park seems unconstitutional, am I right!!!!
Especially since our taxes pay for the parks.
Right you are! They (all) belong to every American. We,that are owners have the right to make their laws and codes. Not a bunch of we could care less, city dwelling folks, sitting on chairs 90% of their lives. GO !LUKE GO!
Question Or A Statement ?
Not that I care one way or another, but can it have something to do with creators making money off the videos that they are making? IDK....
Amen brother
Good job catching the fire flies!
Keep the storm videos coming my friend !
Awesome Video as always....and YES!!! We are very Blessed!!!
While I was in the Marines we were made to hike up Kilauea from the base camp at PTA and from the base camp to summit Mt Fuji, fun times... I've always wanted to summit Mt Kilimanjaro or hike the Milford Tract in Fiordland, New Zealand.
Return the tent. Love the tarps and the rain. Thanks always for the gear list.
You're a good kid Luke! Love your videos. You have taught even me a few things or two.
The was in tents alright! Bad dad joke. Love the videos. Great production quality.
Excellant photography and drone photography. Fabulous editing and shooting for a lone guy. Way too much stuff for back packing and canoeing. Good channel.
I love your no agenda channel. I find it very relaxing.
Glad to hear your coming my way. You won't have to worry about snakes or tics on the Big Island. And you might get some nice rains in Hilo. But thanks for the episode. Your rain storm even rivaled some of the Asian videos.
Thank the farmers and the food plants we have it so good.
I look forward to the Trail Cam videos. Thank you :)
OMG I would have lost it putting that tarp up like that you made it look so easy LOL
