I don't like to be out in those heavy rains, though. To stay dry in a heavy rainstorm, one would have to be covered in plastic from head to toe. It started to pour down when I was leaving work, once, so I went back inside and fashioned a full-body rain suit by putting two eye-holes in a huge plastic bag, put it on and got home without getting soaked. I wondered what people would think, if they had seen me wearing that huge, black plastic bag. LOL! 😂

Great video! Keep the tent! Seam seal it. Use in good weather, under tarps, etc! It's unique. It's got some great features. It'll be a worthwhile tent to have in the back of a vehicle. I don't think you'll regret it. It'll be in the Kitty and Huff (?) museum someday....way someday lol Can't wait to see your next big adventure! Always watching from Phoenix 🏜️❤
If it were me I would just send the tent back. It was expensive but cheaply made. There are other tents on the market that are better. It’s not worth further testing. Excited about your trip to Japan. I lived there for a year and half. Love Japan. I have been back a couple times. Camping there will be different. All I ever saw were private campgrounds but the beauty of Mt Fuji is worth it. Japan is a beautiful country.
I think I would keep the tent and SPRAY WATER REPPANT LIKE CRAZY ON IT AND GLUE ALL THE SEEMS UP. THAT TENT LOOKS FANTASTIC TO ME. YOU MENTIONED THE COST OF THE TENT. Thank you Luke for another experience to watch your films. I learn from you!
No need for more testing, the tent already showed what is capable of. Thanks Luke for all your videos, I follow your channel for 4 years now, and all of your adventures and reviews are great. Greetings from Chile
Hey there! As an e-bike user who loves outdoor exploration, I stumbled upon your video about freebeat's new product, the freebeat Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike. I must say, I'm impressed by the outstanding features this e-bike offers. The ability to charge the bike in indoor mode is a game-changer! The brushless 750W motor, 80Nm torque, and top speed of 20mph sound exhilarating. The 80mm front suspension and puncture-resistant fat tires ensure a smooth ride in any terrain, while the IPX5 Waterproof finish makes it perfect for any weather. The Smart Saddle Detection+ feature and the conversion of indoor calories into CO2-free miles truly showcase the unique blend of fitness and technology. I'm excited to support this crowdfunding project and can't wait to experience the limitless freedom it offers! Keep up the great work!
Concerning the tent, I'd return that one and rain test the replacement. You know that one is already compromised, so checking another would confirm it's a materials issue if it leaks as well.
Saw this video and were surprised to hear you mention the puzzle. We weren't even sure that you would have time to put it together because of your busy lives. We're glad you're enjoying it, though. Looking forward to seeing your adventures in Hawaii (and hopefully in Japan, too). Keep up the great reviews! Gene & Joyce.
Return the tent! By the way, I live in Knoxville tn and was in Johnson city not far from Bristol TN the same weekend you did this video! You showed the tornado warnings near Knoxville. I remember checking with my adult son as the storms moved through Knoxville. He loves camping and gear. So I sent him this video link to watch you. I told him how good you were at reviewing equipment and how much I think he would love your videos. My favorites are the downpour rain, storms, and blizzard videos!

Good evening Luke…fire flies….bugs that light…..great job..you should have been an professor..you speak so well. I enjoy your teaching and thanks for sharing your ideas and thoughts . Blessing to you and your family.
I love Volcanoes National Park! I just left Hawaii 2021 after 10 yrs this time. I grew up there, but have been in SC most of my adult life. I love Japan too. Went to Osaka solo in 2018. My first solo trip at 57😂. 🤙🏾🤙🏾🌺🌺

My wife and I really enjoy your videos, especially when you involve your wife like the phone call today. Your videography and editing is very well done. We’re thinking that tent needs to be returned 😮
You filmed fireflys. That's pretty good. The rain pooling up on the tarp. You are an artist. The tent leaked, a little, but you didn't float away. Camping is supposed to be a LITTLE rough. But, just for fun, you should keep it and do an awful rain test just for fun.
Luke I am happy to see your Aquaquest monster tarp get so much use and it holds up well under heavy rain. I got one back about a year ago and rarely get this type of rain levels to use it in. I am in SC and it is way too hot most times of the year to even try during rain events.

Luke … Outstanding video!!! Love your music and can’t wait to see the trail can videos!!! Send the tent back with a letter describing its initial faults … and make them aware these were initial observations and faults … and not an in depth review! See what they say and then let us know. That’s what I would do. Finally, I just wanted to tell you how impressed I am with how you and Susie so complement one another; you are two very lucky people to have each other!!! Until your next video, take care, be safe, best wishes and God bless!!! Chuck Knight from Buffalo, Texas. 👨🌾✝️🙏🖖👍🏼
Its so cool that you have Lone Wolf Mtn to do all your testing at. Nothing finer than having a piece of dirt that's YOURS! So beautiful and quite there.
Somebody has been hitting the weights. Looking really buffed. Your arms, shoulders and chest are well defined. Quite a contrast from earlier videos. Well done!
You really love your broccoli!!! What a great setup. I call you the bagman. You have more bags full of such interesting stuff! Have you ever tried dryer lint to start fires. It works great and it is free. We use it all the time.
Hi Luke ❤❤love this video ❤❤I’m always watching your amazing and awesome videos on tent reviews ❤❤thanks so much and please keep your videos coming ❤❤❤ Linda from Edmonton AB Canada 🇨🇦
It is a shame about the leaks in the Poler tent. I love the A-frame shape, the massive amount of mesh and the doors. Hopefully seam sealing will rectify the leaking issues. Oh, I also love the color.
What a great episode! I've been a fan of the channel since the beginning of covid.Thank you for the fun adventures throughout the last few years. As far as that horrible tent goes, I say, keep the tent and test it to see how bad it fails!
My first thought when I saw you setting up 4 trail cams is that Luke is hoping to get photos of Bigfoot. I'd say, RETURN IT. Don't take time & effort to seam seal it. Norwegian Xplorer used a nearby boulder, draped his tarp over the boulder, staked the tarp into ground, then set the front of the tarp so that the boulder took the brunt of the strong gusty winds & rain. No nearby trees. Inflated his air mattress which provided back, butt, & leg insulation from the cold rock & ground. Then calmly fixed himself a nice hot meal & cup of hot coffee all the while Mother Nature was in a really foul mood. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada
One of the rare times I see you pitch a tent under a tarp. A New Zealand couple. A el and Victoria, does it all the time. The tarp angles down to the rear of the tent for rainwater to flow down. The test of the tarp provides an awning owning in front of the tent entrance. They cook drink, eat, chat . In comfort under the owning and enjoy the rain it snow.
After the Gazelle review, I asked if Susie could review the Bushnell 2-3 person pop out; this is very similar. I was concerned about carrying it, so I actually went with the Woods Canada tent that is also very similar, but not a pop out. As a female, it’s very easy to assemble and is smaller and lighter in form than this. I cannot speak about the quality yet, but the airflow and weight is great. Like this one, you can’t stand up, but it seems so roomy regardless. Maybe check it out too.
thank you for all your relaxing and informative videos! return the tent. if it leaked underneath all that tarp, it'll leak bigtime out in the rain 100%
I suggest returning this tent. If it leaked under tarp protection, it’s not a product I’d invest in. Find something that meets your standards, which are similar to mine. Thanks for the video. I love watching your adventures and have learned so very much from you.
I used to do stuff like this as a kid in the backyard using alot of my dads old military gear & tarps. Somewhere around 1995. Good times. Ive always loved the rain and crazy storms.
I'd test that tent out in the rain, just to see how much of it will leak. While you sit in the cabin and watch movies. Then send the video to Poler and return the tent for your miney back. I'm sure you could probably start your owngear company if you buy some quality sil-poly and DCF and a sewing machine. Hey! A pop-up 4 person DCF tent wouldbe a neat idea 😉
18:58 Did Luke just do a step 2??🤣 Loving the tent despite the horrid color...looks great for Spring and Summer. I mean forget the leaks, it's a car camping tent anyway, only take it out in dry conditions and IF you get a surprise rain, just retreat to the truck. The thing looks top notch for ventilation, no condensation and being bug proof.
Hey Luke. That is a unique tent but for $300 I don't think so. My opinion is it isn't worth the work needed to seal it after that price. I would send it back with a thorough list of all your complaints so they can work on them. Nice tarp setup though and a really nice rain. Side note: I was glad to hear that before you ended the call with Susie you both said "Love you." Never quit that. Stay safe in Hawaii and God bless you both.
Haven't seen Susie in awhile. See if you can get her to come along soon. You sure know how to set up tarps! A 20ft by 13ft tarp with 4 tall and 4 short Elephant poles!---Wow that's 260 sq ft! For sawing wood, I like my Bauer small 20V chainsaw although I do own a Silky Gomboy too. I was glad to hear Susie on the phone. It reminds me of Charle's Angles.
I love the tent I personally would put a tarp over it so I could sit outside if it rained or to just keep the dew off..here in Eastern ky we have a lot...Susie has good taste..another great video!!
The beer is from N.O.D.A. It stands for North Davidson (in Charlotte). It's the little "Arts District" of Charlotte NC, near Neighborhood Theater, Salvador Deli, The Dog Bowl and all those other "trendy" spots, venues/bars/restaurants/hotels. Like another small town exclusively for hipsters just outside Uptown. You could call it East Ashville, *FAR* East Ashville 🤣 It's a cool place though.
Excellant photography and drone photography. Fabulous editing and shooting for a lone guy. Way too much stuff for back packing and canoeing. Good channel.
I’m with you on the drink of choice being coffee. I can’t drink beer anymore since I get brutal migraines from so much as a sip of beer. On the very rare occasion that I do drink, I choose whisky, but overall coffee is my favourite. Thanks for another great video!

Very unique tent with some cool features. But the cheap material makes me hesitant. I’m a vote for returning it.
Wow ! The tent looks excellent. Beautiful looking that ⛺️🎪🏕
Keep Tent For Sure Silicone it and seam Tape It and resilicone the seam tape. The Tent Is Beautiful. Suzie Likes it And So Do Many of Us😊❤
The ease of set up seemed great but I think it needs a true rain test! Give that Poler a test!
Somebody has been hitting the weights. Looking really buffed. Your arms, shoulders and chest are well defined. Quite a contrast from earlier videos. Well done!
For a second there, I thought you were pulling a camping with Steve, step 2 🤣
Orange is the new black ?!? 😅 J/K but yeah, I'm with you on the tent issue.
I love this adventure! Test the tent further. Stay safe, say hi to Susie!!
thank you for all your relaxing and informative videos! return the tent. if it leaked underneath all that tarp, it'll leak bigtime out in the rain 100%
The rock music opening! 🤘🏼
"Good to know", about the red light!...😊 Thank you 😮
Ahhh....loved the rain storm! Sorry about the leaking....poor Susie!
I like the stealth orange colour. 👌
Tent looks like a return to me honestly. Unless you want to make a funny video about how much it floods. Great vids as always, much love.
Thank the farmers and the food plants we have it so good.
Very interesting tent. Like the design a lot. Great color. Unless you are stealth camping.
Might work if you're stealth camping in a field of tulips.
That must be so cool to be in such a rain storm....
I love your no agenda channel. I find it very relaxing.
It is a hell of a hike! You would probably like Maui!
Step 2 would be in order!
Steve Wallis approves!
Best comment ever
A delicious frosty step 2 👏🍺
If coffee qualifies as a step 2. We’ll have to defer to the master referee - Dr Wallis, what is your ruling?
I LOVE puzzles. I'm sure there are many of us out there, but honestly, I think we make a unique community.
Awesome that ⛺ is amazing thank you for showing us what is out there take care and God bless
Give the tent another chance , i want to see that tent in the rain !
Thanks!
You could call it East Ashville, *FAR* East Ashville 🤣
It's a cool place though.
Der Wald sieht so Schön aus so schön hell ne
I think that tent with some high quality materials and well built structure would be killer! just sucks this version not so much....
Love the tarp set up, not interested in that sort of tent personally but I watch em all
Excellant photography and drone photography.
Absolutely love the color and all the mesh but I think you should return it.
