Velious is the only expansion pre-OoW that i've never actually done content-wise.. Guides would be solid! Golden Roosters do the dragons the same way, good strat :)
Hello, TBC! Love the video, as always. It makes my coffee taste better, idk how that works but yeah.. anyway! So, i'm very new to Everquest, I stumbled across youtubers playing Everquest and as a 15+ year vet of a multitude of MMO's, i decided it was time I paid my respects to Everquest. Now, its been a few weeks since I have started and I have just achieved level 50! I'm playing a cleric, her name is Lithara, i've always played healers/support, but I also have a mage, and a bard, a shaman, and a druid, but the cleric has always been my main focus. I have alot of questions still tho, and I would love an opportunity to surround myself in a wealth of wisdom on this journey through Norrath. If it seems like something you or someone in your guild may be interested in, feel free to reach out! Love the videos man, keep 'em comin! Can't wait for the Velious hype!
This just reminded me of the dev talking about how in VP they had hit the 32k hp cap for mobs so they had to add crazy regen to them to make it SEEM like they had more hp. Then the regen tick was linked to the server tick, so the more people you piled in the zone the laggier it would make the server and actually slow down the boss regen lol... crazy old eq. btw have you listened to all of the old devs talk on aLovingRobot's channel? anyone who loves old EQ should
Don't forget, they also did the same thing with Trak to get teeth out to as many of their guildmates and even alts to get into VP, well before most other guilds using this exploit. So this behavior would have extended well beyond Phar Dar. The "unnamed" guild was blatantly bragging about their exploit on Stream and open forums. If anything, EQ has leveled the playing field for the majority, despite some minor inconveniences for those who expect immediate gratification.
I have a confession to make.... I ninja looted a Scepter of Destruction back in 2000. I also ninja looted Journeyman Boots from Drezla back when she dropped them in 1999. I was an EQ criminal.
