I just made these. It was so easy!! I mixed the glitter directly into the polycrylic and coated the ornaments then did a darker color over that to get a multi-coloured effect. I wish I could post a picture here to show you. So pretty!!
Exceptional tutorial. Clear, precise, not to fast, and to the point where a beginner like me can understand and not be intimidated. THANK YOU SO MUCH 💓
This Southern Girl Can has completed a beautiful glitter ornament of the easiest and only tutorial you will find that works. Thank you for showing how the product works and each step all the way to the end result. We had amazing results and completed 12 of them.
I have used a baby syringe that I got from the drug store to suck up the polyacrylic and then I squirt it into the ornament. That's how I got the acrylic into smaller ornaments. Great video with great hints!
I really enjoy your videos. I have learned so much from you, Amber. I'm about a year into this crafting world, now I can do more craft shows with new ideas. Thanks
Thanks so much for making the video short but sweet. It pretty much answered all my questions about doing these glitter ornaments. First video of yours I have watched. I will be searching for more of them. Cheers
As always , you give easy instructions and I get new tips every time. Probably common sense, but i never think to have a stack of the cups out and ready , now I think I will plan ahead a little more, because it does make it go more smoothly.
I work in a paint department. I love my job btw lol. The guys normally send all the crafty ladies to me. I NEVER thought to use polycrylic this way! I've got tons of it at home so this isn't something I'd have to shop for. Thank you for this one! I love Walmart glitter too lol.
Oh, wow! This is the first time that I am seeing this method of decorating an ornament! I love your explanations and it is beautifully done! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and craftsmanship! 🤗
Those are gorgeous!!!! Those are my fav types of glitter!!!! Doing winter crafts the fine white glitter makes things look soooo cold and I love that!! 💕💕💕💕 God Bless and have a great weekend!!
I love this technique! Just curious, have you ever made ornaments like these using Gallery Glass stain-glass paint? They last forever, too. My grandson and I used to make them when he was about 7 or 8 years old. He is 25, now, and I still have the ones that we didn’t give as gifts. Yours are beautiful! 🎄😊
I love these because if you decide not to use traditional Christmas colors or you're decorating a theme tree it's not that easy to find ornaments to match...Thanks for sharing...
These are so beautiful I never knew how to do them until I saw your video thank you for sharing but you also said that you were going to sell them.. how much would you sell a dozen thank you very much
I’ve been watching several videos in order to learn this. It’s my first time in the Christmas bubbles. All of this to say that this is the BEST tutorial by far! Thank you! :)
Thank you so much for his video! My girlfriend made these so long ago. I’ve been collecting all the items needed. I purchased the minwax spray. I hope it works too. This is so simple 🥰 Hugs💞Dina
Hi Amber I loved the video how to make the polycrylic Christmas ornaments. I was going to make some with mop & glow. I am so glad that you came on to help me. Thank you so much Amber for being just who you are. God Bless
Thank goodness I came across your video. I tried my hand at making one of these ornaments, with much fail. I used Elmer’s glue with a little more of a chunky glitter. Well, let me tell y’all my heart flopped the next morning when I checked on it, to my disarray it was a disaster. All the glitter globbed up at the bottom and all I could do was throw it away. So I thank you so very much for setting this girl straight with your video. 😁😁😁 P.S. New subscriber 😉
Thank you so much!! I was wondering how the floor wax method would hold up and as always you answered that question 😃. They are beautiful and I will have to pick up the polycrilic at work tomorrow. Sometimes I’m happy I work at HD lol
Great helpful video, thank you. So glad I didn't try this last year with floor polish now especially as I intend to do some embellishing that will be expensive and time consuming! I really appreciate that you explained why Polycrylic is the best for this project. $9 though! Wow! I wish LOL The cheapest I can get that size can here in the UK is £22 But now that I know it's worth it I'm off to order it right now. So once again, Thank You so much x
Hi 🙂 Absolutely gorgeous! Like a few others who have commented on your video, I, too, have a container of clear ornaments that I bought last year from Michael’s. Now I have some idea of what to do with them and all the glitter that I have! Thanks so much for the tutorial! 🎄 God Bless! 😇
Thanks for this tutorial! I’ve made ones with Mop & Glo, but I’m making some ornaments that I want to last, so I’m braving the polycrylic this time around. None of the other instructions I found said how long to let them drip, so I really appreciated you including that. And great tip about storing the polycrylic after!
These are so pretty! Last year at Michaels I bought a ton of clear ornaments on sale and haven’t done anything with them yet, so I will most definitely have to try this! Thank you for sharing Amber💜
Will be making this for sure would you please do a video on making glitter tumbler. Also a how to video on using a cricut maker would be loved. Thanks for another amazing DIY video.
Amber, thank you so much. I must be living in the dark ages....lol. I have never heard of or seen this done. I am fairly new to watchin youtube. I love the way these turned out. Wish I would of seen it done when I had something to use these Christmas balls for. Thank you for sharing. I love to watch your videos, you explain things in such a simple and straightforward way. Mary
So pretty! Quick question, I’m wanting to change the color of some ornaments I have (that I absolutely love) but I can’t do anything with the inside. (The tops aren’t removable) Any recommendations on how I can do this? They are outside decor. Will the poly stuff you used work?
I really appreciate that you keep your videos short, concise and to the point without a lot of blah, blah, blah. Thank you for a great video!
I just made these. It was so easy!!

Definitely the best video on these glitter ornaments. Short n sweet. To the point. Thank u

That's what I do too with the baby syringe. Alot less waste that way as well I think & a lot less messier.
But that doesn't help with the glitter. I think a small funnel can help with the glitter!
I was wondering about using a syringe, but I wondered if the polycrylic would dry and clog it up?
Thank you for the detailed instructions on how to make these!!
I never thought of using polycrylic. I do wood work and have some. I'm certainly going to try this one
Thank you so much. This video has kept me busy during quarantine. I’ve made 200 ornaments so far and I’m not done yet lol. They’re so beautiful 🎄
Excellent video!
Cheers
This is the best, most thorough, and easy to follow tutorial I have seen to make these ornaments. Thank you!!
As always , you give easy instructions and I get new tips every time. Probably common sense, but i never think to have a stack of the cups out and ready , now I think I will plan ahead a little more, because it does make it go more smoothly.
Really pretty, Quick easy and not expensive per piece. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the video. These ornaments are gorgeous! Have you ever used ModPodge instead?
Can’t wait to try these!!

Love the video!!! I was wondering if this method would work for glass ornaments as well?
Yes! It will work. I did glass ones 😊
Ty!!
Oh shiny!! My daughter would just love that winter team blue. I love the emerald. Could you do these with modge podge? Instead of polyurethane?
You could but the Mod Podge cracks. Also it's polycrylic not polyurethane.
Oops my bad. Thanks about the mod podge
Very easy love how you explained it so simply ❤️
Love it thanks. Do the polycrylic have a strong smell?
Not really
I'm loving your accent . I'm from bama. My question is do you have a video or do you know of a video where paint can be used
