FINALLY!! I watched a couple videos trying to get detailed do’s and Don’t on how to do this. I had watched a different video before do a few ornaments, and quickly found that there is way more to doing these glitter ornaments than the previous video and subsequent videos made it seem. Thank you for doing the work and sharing with all how to be successfully at make these great projects.
Hello my friends, It can be used for Christmas and other celebrations. Beautiful glitter decoration techniques. Thank you for these helpful nice tips. Good ideas. Congratulations. See you. I wish 2021 to bring health, peace and happiness to all people. Big greetings. Merry Christmas...
You two are a barrel of laughs and your projects are all so clever. This was yet another winner. The bulbs look fantastic. It has a lot to do with the words you select and even the choice of fonts. Wonderful job! Merry Christmas to the both of you!
Hehe - thanks! We’re really enjoying all the things a Cricut can do, especially helping to bring extra personality to these ornaments. Merry Christmas to you both as well!
Oh yay - thanks! These really are pretty easy, and I love that they don't get glitter everywhere since it's on the inside. All the sparkle, none of the mess. ;) We'll keep an eye out for when your video drops - ornaments are such a fun holiday diy!
Thanks so much! We were only planning the two Christmas vids this year (snowman and gnome), which did REALLY well, as did our pallet trees from last year. We knew this one would be slow going this year but hope it picks up steam when people start to do Christmas crafts in '21!
If we had to choose, Liquitex is the better option. Though we don't have direct knowledge of these two products, the water based poly dries with a yellow tint and the liquitex dries completely clear. Make sure and check curing and dry times, you might have different wait times until tacky and/or fully dry. Great question, thank you😁
when the ornament is turned upside down to drain, how do you remove the polycrylic that pools up around the opening? everything drains out except for that
This is a problem we didn't have. We wanted glitter to get all the way to the rim. Otherwise, since it's a water based polycrylic, use a damp paper towel or sponge to clean any off before it gets tacky after 15 minutes. Hope this helps!
@tiffanygautreaux1128 understood. But we didn't clean that up. We put it to drip in a cup tall enough for it to drip and nothing "pooled" for us there. Just the casual coating that collected glitter.

@@JustMightDIY, All of your holiday videos are great and will be evergreen videos for years. Great work.
Which side should it sit to dry n how long?
We just set them up balanced on a cup, opening up to keep the glitter from spilling until we hot glue the cap in place. 😁
Do you know if I can use basic acrylic..? I have some 😌
We don't know exactly what you mean, best we can say is try it and let us know
We can't get Polycrylic in Australia should l use something like liquitex or a water based polyurethane? Please!

May I ask if you don't have a cricket, us there a place you can buy stickers for the outside
You can search for vinyl decals on Etsy!

@ it’s not around the actual rim. It’s around the opening on the INSIDE of the ornament

What size was your decal?
Hey! It depends on the shape of the ornament and the specific design. Each one will vary.
