A huge thanks to my friends at @strymon for sending their "Nightsky" pedal to show off to you guys! Using pedals to make melodies has made the process exciting and fun for me again. Every time I sit down to use the pedal I end up just sitting back after turning knobs and just get lost in the music.

15:08 "lot of processing later" that's the juicy bit. that's why the beat slapped so hard at the end. your creative input with the processing of the sample. let us see that process!

SICK.. I'm choosing pedals to go with my prophet and juno. Also kinda want to get a tape cassette recorder to send the loops through as well.. One question, how do you deal with getting a wide signal out of the bloober since it's mono? I know the nightsky and microcoosm are stereo but ending the chain in mono, it still sounded wide in the beat.

How do you do that with the mono/stereo? Because the microcosm has stereo output (for fx) and the Blooper is mono. So that would be some kind of loss for the stereo right? How do you fix that?
When you get a lot of Sikky facials and you stay cause you know there are many to come...100% :) but on serious note, yep pedals are awesome my guy...like no doubt...I would even do the "producer sin" and put that pedal on drums...like whoah reverb and delay on drums is something else....>>...>>

Sikky if choose to use digital pedals like on guitar rig instead of analog guitar pedals does it ”have the same edfect?
I think its possible but I think its more fun to use hardware. At the end of the day, big songs, at least some of them we're entirely made in the box.

When you plug the trs cable from the left input of the strymon's nightsky to the output of the audio interface, do you get audio just in the left chanel? Or the left input of the strymon is the mono input too?
Left is mono, right is stereo for both input and output

Strymon definitely makes some high quality well built stuff.
Can you use the microcosm, blooper in Fl studio? Instead of doing it outside of the daw?
no you can not. if you save a project with any external gear used the DAW will not remember the settings of that gear. You'd also need to reconnect all the gear and set it up the same way you did it the first time. However, A LOT of producer who use pedals record the audio from the pedals after its been processed. Working with audio at that point is another sauce of theirs.
@@SIKKYBEATS appreciate the feedback, can I use the microcosm in my daw and just print the effects on top of the instrument through Edison after I like the way the effect sounds? So it’ll basically be permanent once recorded

@@1eidji652 you actually can use it in fl studio, just mess with the bloopers settings until you get a sound you like then record it into Edison
