You could chain the pedals, meaning they’re all geeting a signal from out 3 or whatever, return on 1 and use the pedals as you wish, recording each effected part to audio. Saves messing with cables! Respect Malo. 👊👊👊
Bro, swear everytime I come up with an idea for a change up or set up, here you come with a vid to solidify what I was considering! 💪🏾🤟🏾 glad I came across your channel years ago
It gives it warmth there’s no doubt about it. From all the studios I’ve been the engineers mixing through out board gear from tape machines patchbays compressors delays. In other words I’m loving your sound great sonics.
Hey Marcus, really means a lot coming from you and thank you for taking the time out of your day to hang out with me on this one. Much love and blessings to you
Such a cool idea using GTR pedals instead of bigger Rack Outboard gear which essesntially doing the same. very moduler setup. i love this idea! great video bro!
If I can afford it all I definitely would invest in bigger gear but at the moment I live in a small two car garage with my wife and daughter so space it’s important for me and he’s guitar pedal sounds so good for sample bass hip-hop music mixing but I am extremely happy with the sound that I’m getting out of it. how appreciate you taking the time and hanging out with me brother. Nothing beloved and blessings to you 🤜🏽🤛🏽
You can look into saturnworks reamp box. The Saturnworks reamp converts a line-level balanced signal to an instrument-level unbalanced signal, so that it can be sent through a guitar amp and/or pedals. Also check out neon egg planetarium pedal!
This signal chain looks like a lot of fun. This and the last few videos got me interested in dropping some 💰 on some of these pedals. Appreciate the knowledge. Keep it coming 👍👊
Hey brother, appreciate you taking the time and hanging out with me on these videos. Pedals are pretty fun when it comes down to mixing and Sound shaping.
I rock with your show heavy, And I could agree with your take on DAW’s and digital plugins. There’s something about not having to use a computer with endless plugins anymore lol. Appreciate your time bro🙏🏾
Hey brother, I’m so glad this video resonated with you and thank you so much for taking the time to share. Your feedback is really means a lot. Nothing but love and blessings to you.
I have the HX Stomp from Line6, i play guitar and bass but have run the mpc through it also. It models pretty much any effect you could imagine plus it has amps, cabs and mics. It's a dream pedal.
Great ideas! how have i never seen your channel before? The thing I love about the MPC is there is always so many ways to achieve the same thing. For me I would resample the processed snare sounds and then replace the samples in the drum program with the new ones, that way the pad that is already triggering will just play that audio saving an audio track and the RAM needed. This also has the benefit of being able to change the envelope etc later if you want. Great stuff you got a new sub and I will check out more of your videos for sure :)
Hey brother, thank you so much for sharing your feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed the email I sent your brother. Nothing but love and blessings to you thank you for your support
I’m looking forward to getting the peddles you recommended and a couple more I love the sound they produce So far I’ve been using the sp 404 mkii As a outboard plug-in But what you’re doing is next level Keep up the good work bro
Exactly , In the stand alone my brains more clear because there’s less to deal with , I focus better , hands on has kinda always been my stronger way .
Yes! I’m starting to experiment with this on my MPC! I too have the Colour Box! I recommend the Plethora X5 or x3. All the TC Electronic tone print pedals in one, the Data Corrupter is great and the MainFrame bit crusher is great as well (also a good filter) I’ve also thought about the use of an interface for the input.
Dope content as usual my brother! I'm totally Dawless from beginning to end, and I'm thinking about getting the Electro-Harmonix since it's not too expensive! I can't explain it, but this is something I never thought about purchasing, because I didn't understand it, but the Analog Heat has been amazing! Keep doing your thing my brother!🙏🏾✊🏾💚
Man, all the other paddles are optional and fun to have but the electro harmonics stereo compressor with the analog heat has been so good for my master chain processing. Something about the stereo compressor that kind of reminds me of an SSL bus compressor (plug-in) but a bit better since I can slam this one so much harder and it sounds so good.
Great vid. Thanks a lot for your tip. I play a little guitar, so i've got some pedals. Now, I know i can use them with other instruments, like a MPC. It was very interesting to see how you use input and output of the live. As you say, it's cool to know you can do this with usb port if you have audio interface. Thanks again, and take care.
Malo, are you saying that you could use this same exact set up using an MPC One, except I would need an audio interface with multiple outputs. Is that correct? Also, with the audio interface, will I have latency issues? Thank you.
Interesting workflow. Is there a reason why you aren't just sampling that snare processed through the pedal so you can unplug those cables again and still have the flexibility of stemming out and/or rendering an mp3? I mean this as an alternative to dedicating an entire audio track for it. You could even keep the dry snare and essentially have two samples for the snare, the dry and the pedal processed (wet) and could set the pads up so they always play together. Then mix them to taste.
also as for a multi-effect pedal, generally not a big fan but... a buddy was showing me the TC Electronics Plethora x5 and I have to say if I was to buy one, it'd probably be this one.
Dope. When you route different tracks through the same pedal, can each track have its own pedal setting or is it one pedal setting for all tracks routed through it?
do you have an idea of how you would achieve this on an mpc one with a class-compliant mixer to increase the amount of I/Os? I think there will be a limitation in routing the channel audio from the mixer into an external pedal and back in, do you think?
I’m in the process of testing this out myself and I’m sure it will be a better experience having those extra I/O options. Again, I have not done it myself, but I hope to try very soon with a class compliant interface.
I said the same thing the other day. I can use 1 to 2 hardware Eq's and 1 compressor vs 10 plug-ins on one track... I'm loving the analog world.. I feel like the PRO's sold us on the plugins because they are making money, saying that they don't use hardware meanwhile they sitting behind a 100 track SSL console, please make it make sense 😂
That’s a great question, if I was on a budget I would go for the MPC and 404 set up since the 404 gives you so many effects in one box and they sound great but if you’re able to invest a few extra dollars on some dedicated guitar pedals I think they sound much more punchier and can take a lot more heat in regards to the sound they produce.
Bro are you using a daw to maximize your loudness or for mastering, or are you finishing them completely in the mpc, if your finishing in the mpc what are you using for a meter to get your levels consistent so the track volumes are the same from beat to beat, good video.
Damn that sounds great, shame the One isn't as equipped in terms of ins/outs - you've had me fiending for an Analog Heat to slam stuff straight through at the end though haha! Maybe MPC One -> Model 12 -> Heat for me
Bro can you do me a favor? This video may be explaining this in a way, if so my bad. Go listen to Chris Browns song “Call me everyday” on his new Album that just came out this year. I see you are into sound quality. How do they get this back, but up front clean drum sound? Also listen to John Legends album”Darkness and Light” on the song “Surefire”. I’ve heard this randomly on other albums. Wear your headphones to really hear it, if you do it. It’s always amazed me and I have been chasing this sound. I’ve wrote people, looked it up, tried the reverb thing, but can’t reach it. IF AT ALL POSSIBLE 😂😂😂..can you help me out? If not , the search continues.🤣🤣🤣Peace
Right On Malo 👊🏽🫡 I’ve been investing into a few great pedals from Hologram Electronics. JHS and TC Electronics. I was wondering if you would consider doing a tutorial or a recommendation video on choosing pedals for Hip Hop music production? 🤔💯

Malo consistently bringing the heat & knowledge! Those pedals are Fire!

@@malobeats is it possible to run these affects through a DAW I have Logic and doing mostly in the box but I just wanted some analog flavor
Using the pedals makes so much sense and really adds to the beat.
It’s been a well worth investment and A nice addition to the overall sound
@@malobeats The Zoom 70 is great multi effects if you ever go down that rabbit hole. Lots of synth folks use it.

Dope video! I have one question how do you print the beat out to be streamed with out a computer?
I have a zoom h6 recorder which will let you track anything to an SD card when it comes down to MP3s or wave files.
Ok gotcha
I should’ve got an Mpc Live 2 over the SP404 MK2 honestly
Why not both? That’s what I run with along with a tape machine
It’s a bulky bastard.
They work excellent together 🤙🏾
I agree with the comments at the bottom of this one, I honestly feel pairing up both of them it’s like a match made in heaven.
@@Daschill_ Cuz the MPC Live 2 is 1500? Lol. What I should’ve said is I should’ve just skipped the MK2, saved, then picked up the MPC Live 2.
awesome video! it's a shame you don't see more pedal / mpc vids. Keep it up!
Thank you sir! I always learn so much!!✌🏿❤

Hook a interface up to the MPC, and you instantly have all the interfaces I/Os. A send and return for each pad. MPC ladies and gentlemen

how do I connect my guitar to akia Mpc one do I use a 1/4 stereo to dual 1/4 mono cable
Does anyone know a good 8 mic pre audio interface that is compatible with the standalone Akais?

Is it possible to connect pedals to the MPC One Plus?
🔥🔥🔥
How are you adding these items in the chain and avoiding buzzing/ground noise?
yo malo how do i connect my mpc live 2 to my analog heat?
For the snare, couldn't your just re-sample, then replace the snare with the new sample ?
Aliexpress has some interesting little inexpensive guitar and bass pedals. Maybe worth a look
AKAI only released a Limited amount of the Retro.. It still boggles my mind that they did that. What a shame.
MPC LIVE 2 Retro: www.zzounds.com/a--3979349/item--AKAMPCLIVE2XL?siid=280460 they have them available here
@@malobeats Ah, great! Thanks! The website doesn't seem to load properly for me but I'll check it again tomorrow. Shout out to you.
Also, when you used the pedals, if you export the stems, do the tones print out with each track?
Anyway you can list the pedals used in the video?
Absolutely, check the link in the description I have these petals listed there. Thank you for taking the time
Do you need a reamp to do this?
I was wondering the same thing!
Hey Malo, have you ever tried a Memory Toy?
I’ve never heard of it. What is it?
Its an analog delay. I use it when recording my sons mpc live “tripped on the mountain” on spotify i used it on that song. Think you would like them!

Or go through a UAD console for unlimited high end outboard silmulations..
