#2 is false. Modern cars have good enough oil to the point where you really don't need to do this anymore. You can drive off in about 30 seconds to 1 min
@@SaltyPoes There are two reasons the rpm goes up when you start the car, the ECU can do it for both or either. One is the catalytic converters need to be hot to work efficiently, so the ECU makes the car run rich and bumps the revs a bit to get it warmed up quicker, the rpm dropping back to idle is the downstream o2 sensor reading properly, or a temp sensor on the downstream cat is reading correctly, or a timer has finished. The other reason is the coolant temperature, oil generally takes the same amount of time to warm up as the coolant does, and the thermostat stays closed so the coolant warms up to temp quicker, the rpm gets higher so it will also lower the time you wait for the coolant to get to temp, then it drops when the thermostat opens. But most cars (07 onwards) generally run it richer and at the elevated rpm because by the time the thermostat opens due to the coolant being at operating temperature, the catalyst in the converter is also up to temp and the car drops its revs to idle
Nice video.. however I disagree on warming the car. Although I drive Volkswagen, can't say anything about other manufacturers.. in the owner manual it's stated to not let your vehicle idle to temperature and to drive off immediately. However you should not drive on high revs. Let it gradually heat up till working temp.... Just saying what is in the manual...
Really good video mate, with No. 9, generally a car wont have a blowout due to misalignment, but if you neglect your tires for too long (due to said misalignment) they will eventually blowout. Also with No. 10, most road tires have elevated rubber you can use to quickly measure tread depth, however the penny is also a good option
Warming your car up on the drive at tickover accelerates wear on the engine, because you’re making the warm up last as long as possible. Get in the car, drive immediately, but don’t use heavy load or high rpm until it’s nice and warm. Also changing oil every 5k miles is OTT - it’s something only Americans say, and it’s from the days when engine oil was mineral oil that went off the moment the can was open. Engine oils are sophisticated and last way longer than this. Also OMG do you work at an alignment centre? Every six months? No! Monitor your tyre wear and get alignment if it looks off, or get one if the car crabs, or get one if you have vibrations (but check other stuff). Every six months is crazy.
i have a story with #1: my dad and i went to the carwash WITH a license plate and we came out WITHOUT one after and then a random worker just brought it out to us
most of these does make sense like cutting up thru highways like bro you are not squeeze benz but for some that doesnt do anything to their car i wouldnt say their bad drivers they just people who dont know how cars work

😌
can confirm that on a 08 golf 5 tdi takes 5 -10 min while a 2018 tiguan takes 2 min. Talking about when it drops rpm after coldstart

3:33 I would only do it if my family or close friends are in danger

😌
Do agree with most of them except the warming up your car as not everyone has time to do so
also another thing is when your just tryna drive normally and some 18yrs guy tries to race u
😭
fr bro
You should clean your car’s interior and exterior once a month
i have a story with #1: my dad and i went to the carwash WITH a license plate and we came out WITHOUT one after and then a random worker just brought it out to us
Bruhhh
I'm begging for likes
😌
PREACH!!!
😌
i will personally change the g37 stigma loll
😏
#2 is bullshit for modern cars just wait tell the rpms drop a little or even hear them drop and your fine
Lol
jokes on you i live in the middle east, my car can never get cold
😆
bruh
😌

Yea it’s also about endangering peoples lives
So if Max Verstappen takes his car to the car wash that means he’s a bad driver…?
Womp Womp…
Not so much a driver but owner 🤣😆
Tf happened yo voice
This my actual voice 😭
Some of car washes are contactless
😌
Bro you leave ur car running while u go inside, that’s just being a stupid car owner 😂 id say it’s worse than being the type you go after a cold start
But I have a push to start lol they can’t drive off unless they have my key
its just funny
