I just discovered your channel through a comment you left on Patricks' "Motoramblings" channel. Loved the video. Regards from Melbourne Australia :-) Subscribed!
I am sorry to hear my friend. I also use Carpuride amd Gaia. I haven't seen this issue. But it would definitely FRUSTRATE me. I also keep the GPX foles loaded and ready in Rever as a backup or second version of the trip. Fun video my friend. I hope it gets worked out.
Hello, it turned out to be my phone itself, Gia was fine, my phone justs topped having a stable BT connection to any device. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
@@Motoramblings I don't know where the NEBDR runs through October Mt. but years ago I helped a bud scout big bike "hero" sections for an event here called the Mudslinger BBA. Those sections were no joke, they made that "Elevator" section in VT look like a bump in the road 😉 The enduro trails on the mountain are also challenging with non-stop rocks :)
Make sure your Android Auto or Carplay app is updated and all other apps that run your phone like Google ect. Also make sure your Gaia app is updated. I had that issue and doing this solved it
Hello Greg, sound advice, thank you! I noticed the following day that my car was also not playing music via Bluetooth. I ended up resetting my phone to factory defaults and it's been working since. My phone is pretty old at this point. - Frank
Hello, I use an old Insta 360 One RS, with the mic adapter. I also clean it up in Davinci though. I use a compressor with voice settings to keep peaking down which, due to my voice while riding, happens. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
@ Yikes! We’ve had a small one run through the yard, but in Asheville, I saw them constantly while delivering the mail…. Thanks so much for watching, and for commenting. I hope you’re not freezing over there…. Patrick
The family that was living practically in the yard seems to have moved on, but one pops up regularly. They did where I lived in Grafton growing up as well. - Frank
I’ve not had those issues with Gaia. The only issue I’ve had has been when I forget to turn on Garmin Drive….. But I use Gaia with the Xumo XT, a Garmin product….
I don't understand the popularity of phone apps for GPS navigation. I've used Magellan and Garmin units on boats and motorcycles for decades without any real failure to my recollection. Currently a Garmin Montana 700 (handheld design) mounted in the handlebar power cradle has been serving well the past few years. Yeah, it cost $600, but there is never anxiety concerning position, routes or maps (multiple layer options). They are built to withstand the punishment of harsh outdoor use and there is no loss of signal because they are Satnav exclusively. My phone is kept safely tucked away to be used for phone tasks provided cell reception exists ... yeah I'm out there, just sharing my reality. 😎
Hello Cody, I can only speak for me, but unless I am following a track, GPS navigation is superior on my phone. My Garmin cannot find addresses well at all. The phone connect devices are also quite good at music, calls and texts. I am now using one with front and rear cameras. On the highway I can see what's behind me at a glance. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
Hello Jim, I will try a backup, though in this instance I needed to reset the phone as I learned it was having issues with all BT connections. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
Yep, not having a 21 front and 18 in the back is the real problem once you get off the pavement. I did the continental divide trail on the 390 adventure with Miles and Miles of washboard. It screamed loud and clear it was not happy. That alone was my only complaint regarding the 390. Whenever the new model comes out if it has a 21 inch and an 18 inch tubeless tire, I will own one immediately.
I am very much looking forward to the new 390. Mine has been so good to me, I feel confident that Bajaj will hit it out of the park again. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
Hello 2 Wheel. Turned out to be my phone. All BT connections stopped updating. Did a reset and its been doing well for months. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
Everything you’ve shown so far from the NEBDR looks like a lot of fun!!
I enjoyed all of it. I have never been on 5-, but 1-4 is all fun. - Frank
@ Excellent!

Oh, I was looking forward to “menacing” October Mtn!!!
You want to ride it with me sometime 😉
@ ride it with you? More like you ride, then wait, and wait, and wait, and then maybe I’ll catch up…..😂😂😂

I feel your pain. I’m back to a Zumo XT. Looking forward to that “Menacing Mountain!”
Hello Bob, the Garmin is good on tracks, so you will not get lost at least! Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
Can’t wait to get up there and give it a try! The Gaia woes are a big time bummer. I’ve been very impressed with OSMAND.
Hello Duke, I have seen OSMAND ads, but it mentioned hiking. Does it work with moto routes well? - Frank
@ it’s all I use. Base maps for seven states are free and unlimited downloads for a one-time fee.
Love the video/audio on your channel. What do you use to record and capture the audio at the same time?

I bet you’ll be seeing a lot of bears in Tennessee!!!
I had a visitor 5 times in about two weeks late summer. He was a big'un. First time, he actually knocked on my bedroom window.

@ I saw a couple in NH when I lived there, but they are everywhere here! They were my favorite part of delivering the mail!😂😂
Looks like a fun route to go on. Bummer about the Gaia app not working.
Hello William!

Wait, I can use Gaia with my Evil Xumo XT? - Frank

Good that you enjoyed the portion of the route you were able to ride other than the Gaia issue.
Hello Rob, the Gaia issue turned out to be my phone. I did a factory reset, and the Bluetooth has been updating properly since. - Frank
Guys, there are so many options. But get a cheap military grade phone and install DMD2.
Hello Matt, I have heard great things about DMD2 devices as well. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
Riding carefully. New concept for you.
I almost always ride carefully! ish!
Try Sygic or Magic Earth as backups to Gaia.

Did the tat using my phone not one problem no clue why you would want to deal with Gia not working all the time

Bummer. All our moderns to make it convenient and then...
Hello Jason, my darn phone was the issue. It's not been right since it got rained on so much in Canada! But it works most of the time... - Frank
Wait wait wait. Did you honestly say you could always turn around and push the bike out? I know 4 guys who would disagree with that.
Meanie!
