I can understand how some guys got caught up in the "betting in NFL facilities thing" but betting on NFL games, MORE SPECIFICALLY your own team's games is so incredibly stupid. Also, now that guys have been punished for betting in NFL facilities, nobody has an excuse of not knowing going forward.
Well not just NFL games. I think you can't bet on any Football games at all. The worst thing is betting on any NFL games. Yet they didn't really make it clear because if it is just NFL games then no one would get in any trouble. You can't bet at any NFL building or stadium and you can't bet on any NFL games that is the main rules to it. Still they need to just state the full rules to all the players in big bold letters.
I had a friend of a friend who worked for the NFL in a business capacity (like Marketing) tell me that he couldn't even set foot into a sportsbook without risking being fired. This man was not making millions of dollars a year, and somehow he figured out how to not risk his job. How hard is it just NOT TO BET ON FOOTBALL?!

It's really not complicated. If you're in the NFL, you cannot bet on any NFL games. You CAN bet on other sports, but you cannot place the bet while present in an NFL facility. Bet on the NBA finals at home.

Personally, I don't care when players bet on games, even their own team, especially if they were betting on their team to win. With that said, it's better to play it safe and not bet at all.
