    I have been consulting the I Ching for over 25 years and still do so on a regular basis. The I Ching has supported my decisions and made me feel as if I have the wisdom of Ancient China at my fingertips. Thank you so much for your channel and for helping non-Chinese people better understand and appreciate the wisdom of it. May many more people around the world learn about the I Ching as it is such an important treasure for humanity.

      Hi! Maybe you'll be so kind as to help me. My question was whether the person I'm seeing is my soulmate.
      The first time I threw 3 heads, 6 times. All lines were solid.
      The second time I threw 2 heads and one tail 6 times!
      What does this mean please? Thanks to everyone in advance.

    I began to learn of I-Ching from a thick book that I bought. I'm sure that there may be a lot of nays about that. I learned that the I-Ching was all about medicine along with physical and mental health. Lots of nature and fresh air. The sound of music came into me while I read my book about the I-Ching.

    Wow! I've had a knowing since being a kid that 64 is a highly significant number. The ying yang is like binary, 8 bits is a byte, 8x8 = 64. I am getting my hands on this book. Current mainstream computers have a 64 bit bus...
    It seems the code of the universe reflected being back at us in many things, but its only now that I am able to perceive this ancient wisdom. Thank God, source of all there is, for the age of Aquarius us upon us! 🎉❤💜💚✨🛸🧜‍♂️🔮

    There are versions of this oracle online that offer readings about living a boundary less life in order for the reader to not experience limitations in life. That is a promotion of poor health. As a Christian into privacy and health, I found this oracle to be a way to draw closer to God and the living words of the Bible. I was only drawn to it because many people have told me about it.

    If everything is always changing, that means that change itself is a constant and not changeable.
    Therefore the statement “everything is always changing” is false.
    This is similar to the statement “do everything in moderation”. How do you do moderation “in moderation”? That means moderation itself is an extreme and not moderate.
    “Do everything in moderation” is another false statement.

      The Wilhelm translation is probably the best early English translation. Stephen Karcher's though, is fantastic for young initiates, perhaps the best one to start with. And then there's www.jamesdekorne.com/GBCh/GBCh.htm which is a nice commentary primer as well (and free).

      @@DeckardCroix Yes, this is the translation (Wilhelm/Baynes) that was recommended by a scholar and author about C.G. Jung, who wrote the forward. When reading through the information about how it was translated, all together, it seems like the best translation available - it went from Chinese to German to English, but the knowledgeable son of Wilhelm was able to work with the current translator to make certain it is the best and most accurate version since his father has passed before Baynes could have Wilhelm review the English translation.

    • @prahslra
      @prahslra 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely the Wilhelm translation is the best, because it is the most poetic as well as being accurate. Wilhelm appears to have respected the immense power of the book. The first English translation, by Legge, while accurate, is dry and academic and treats the book as an interesting ancient artefact, not as the living subjective consciousness it seems to channel.

      @jomiahg ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@prahslra Thank you guys so much for the input! A few months ago, I gave in to trying Legge's translation. It seems very complete, but it did feel like a verbal puzzle for my stage of learning lol. I'm probably going to revisit the book after getting my hands on the Wilhelm translational! I'm very big on C.J so I think it'll fit with what I'm looking for! 😊🙌🏾

    Does I Ching have any ties with the book Tao te Ching

      I Ching was written long ago than Tao te Ching. It is mainly for divination but also the very root of Chinese culture and philosophy. It gave birth to Laozi's Tao te Ching.

    I have a question: What is the relationship between ying/yang philosophy, 8 triagram with Lao Tzu and Taoism.
    Many people said that ying / yang originates from Taoism

      Ying/yang originates everything in this universe.

      In the beginning of every phenomenon, there is emptiness (also known as wuji). From this emptiness, there arises winds of polarities. These are the energies of yin and yang.
      (For eg, a new product comes into the market. Originally, there isn't much opinion about the particular product, people either don't care about it, or only have a vague idea of it and carry no opinions or judgements. This is Wuji. Once the product appears, there is an automatic division of polarities. Some people start liking it, while the others dislike it. This is the yin and yang of Taiji that appears from the boundless stillness of the original emptiness.)
      From the highs and lows in the level of yin and yang arise the Great Yang, Small Yin, Small Yang and Great Yin. (You can google them up). These then combine and recombine to become the Triagrams. The Triagrams are only called by their names (Heaven, Wind, etc.) because the phenomena that the names describe carry a very matching vibration to that of the original meaning of each of the Triagrams.

      @@MistofIChing I think you misunderstood his question, he's asking where did the concept of ying/yang originate from? does its original definition and inception come from Taoism?
