Identify who they are and what they do. Learn before you visit and PREPARE. Who is/are the correct decision makers at each company and the staff type-- research.. If you are only seeking a few and quality; you must not just cold call them. & 2 & 3 are OK, but the phrase 'so just get out there and sell' has quite a broad stroke- have you heard of marketing- establishing your sales agenda to your staff. Setting up a CRM system. So that when your sales people quit, you have a skeleton of what they did. Most sales staff are not well trained as per old IBM & Xerox. Lead Generation, Warm contact, building rapport, suggesting the value proposition, getting appointments, Answering objections- Building rapport.
