A lot of games I'vr played with the twins gave ended up as "oh man, Im so behi- oh draw spell..." *draws gas, board explodes* "dude!" "Yeah I forgot I was blue..."
Ashes of the Fallen is my personal favorite card in my deck. All the cards you put in that aren't zombies ARE zombies as long as they're in your graveyard.
Man, professor I just wanted to leave a note saying how much I LOVE your videos. I've never really played EDH, but this video has inspired me to make my very first EDH deck. Thank you.
Yes!! I just started building this and I'm excited to see what I should put in it! Also, I feel like I have to mention Nighteyes the Desecrator to play any creature from our graveyard and Lim-Dul the Necromancer, who not only steals steals our opponents monsters as zombies when they die, but can also regenerate any zombie we have. They're not zombies themselves, but they are a ton of fun and a ton of help.
@@theepicrusins8779 well to start, narfi's so cheap you can get the showcase version for under a buck. After that you can snag new gisa, which has an effect quite similar to gravepact (doesnt make them zombies, and operates on a delay, but hey, its gisa!). There's also a new lord, bladestitched skaab, in innistrad midnight hunt.
You can make a budget version of this by leaning more towards the blue zombies that self mill... And then over time buy the better cards and stay zombie slinging at your enemies for a long time.
Great deck tech for a Commander . I play this Commander and have a couple cards that make the deck extremely good. Paradox Engine is amazing especially with Cryptbreaker and Rooftop Storm in play. Plus an artifact from Saviors of Kamigawa - Ashes of the fallen worth a spot in the deck!
I run a very similar G&G deck. If you are playing against it, exile Gray Merchant, that thing get's out of hand very quickly! But this is such a fun deck to play, just remember that blue and black has no way to destroy enchantments or artifacts, so we have to live with them :I
before I found this channel Ober a year ago I was always the worst player in my group but now with all the information about deck building and what cards work together I am such a better player. this is why I love the mtg community they're are so many people who will help new players. (ps. team gisa)
litterally just starting making this last night haha, you discussed the infinite combos which most of the videos on here do not, thank you for giving this tribal deck a tech worthy of their madness.
So glad you made this video! G&G was my first EDH deck. Raving Dead, Zombie Trailblazer, Undead Alchemist, and Liliana's Reaver go well with Swampwalk. Agent of Erebos, Gemplalm Polluter, and Westvale Abby are all included in mine, along with Diabolic Vision and Walking Dead for some old school flavor. Cheers!
I would LOVE to see you do some type of Hydra EDH build. I love using hydra's and I personally use "Rosheen Meanderer" as my commander. Hope to see you do a build of this in the future.
If you're mentioning the Mikaeus Triskelion combo, and including so many sac outlets, Walking Ballista also works identically as an infinite damage combo if you're willing to put that 3rd piece on the board
First time player here and I bought a zombie commander starter deck. And I wanna thank you for showing me some good cards to add and look out for for my deck.
Three cards that I would highly recommend one being rather flavorful the other not so much but can help immensely, Filth, Wonder and Necromancer's Stockpile. Filth and Wonder work so well from the grave giving both Swampwalk and Flying can really help you swing in for lethal and Necromancer's Stockpile can give slow but incremental card draw and token spawning.
I was just thinking I wanted to see his take on a Sidisi zombie tribal, but this works, too. I guess next should be GIsela, Blade of Goldnight. It's always an interesting deck to see.
I wanted to make a commander deck with these two ever since I first saw them but being fairly new to magic I had no idea where to start but this was super helpful!
Update! I finally started trading and collecting what I need to build this deck. Thank you for making this video to give me the starting point I needed for this deck
Could you do Mayael the anima next please?!! I'm very interested in how you would build it despite my friends saying it's a weak card. I see major promise in her. You also make some of the best edh videos. It's not just the same monotone speak while flipping through the deck that most people do. It's some real effort and very appreciated.
This channel has hit almost every archetype in edh (Voltron, Tribal, +1/+1 counters, etc.) but one that Prof hasn't done is an Instant/Sorcery deck, so I think that should be the next build. Wort the Raidmother maybe?
Rhys the Redeemed!!!! It was the first commander deck i ever built and its my pride and joy. I would love you see how you about making a deck centered around him!!
I make budget decks and whike this may not be the most powerful i have it is one of the most fun to play. Can get very strong but needs a couple of extra turns to get going. My favorite zombie after passing ended up being Cleaver Scaab! Also, one of its biggest weaknesses ended up flying. Adding some flying zombies / shapeshifters, Hordewing Scaab, and Geralf, Visionary Stitcher help.
River Kelpie makes this deck insane! Especially if Mikaeus is out. I would love to see your take on making a highly tuned Ulrich of the Krallenhorde deck. I think werewolf tribal presents a unique challenge with deck building due to flip mechanic.
I am honestly curious about your take with a Marath, Will of the Wild deck. Your choice on how to approach him is fine. I'm trying to do one myself without using Skull Clamp or Ashnod's Altar, trying to keep things in a flavor of "nature", and using the land base as a world building mechanism. (*I'm doing it with +1/+1 Counters and Tokens in mind, in case someone is wondering.)
I run Oloro, Feldon of the Third Path, and Yidris so I would love your take on any of those especially if there was a theme to them since I do not play in a competitive group but rather in a gathering of players who enjoy beer more than winning.
I personally would like to see your take on yet another general from the Eldritch Moon set: Ishkanah, Grafwidow. You've already covered zombie tribal why not spider tribal?
i would love to see either an atraxa deck centered around best friends forever (planeswalkers), or breya infinite combos since it has so many synergies to work around.
Wow, this deck functions really similarly to a Tymaret, the Murder King deck that I designed literally today! :o What a coincidence! Professor, I'd like to see a deck tech on Queen Marchesa. She's the commander that got me into the format, and I'd love to see someone else's take on her!
I run these two in my Sydisi Brood Tyrant deck. I get to have more fun with Dredge. I'm kinda surprised the the Prof didn't mention Wonder. You get to turn your zombie swarm into a flying zombie swarm.
awesome edh decktech!!! here is a list of some decks im considering making but not really sure some great cards to have in it. -brago, king eternal -rith, the awkener -balthor, the defiled
big fan of this series. i would love to see the following for this series colorless eldrazi tribal 5 color horde of notion elemental tribal and 5 color scion of the Ur-dragon dragon tribal
could you PLEASE do a captain sisay deck tech? I have been trying to find an updated one and its impossible. I love your content, and the way you do deck techs. It would be great to see!
thank you very much professor best zombie deck I've seen definitely going to make it just need to find the best place to buy them as i live in ireland thanks again
I have a Gisa and Geralf EDH, but it is not one I have spent much time or resources building. I have mostly crappy zombies in it that I had lying around. It still can pull out wins and is fun.
Nice video! I am actually working on a zombie edh deck so this gives a lot of info. I would like to see your take on Kambal death and taxes style deck.
I would like a new player friendly deck next, please! with cards that doesn't have weird mechanics and combos, odd keywords and interactions, but a straight forward deck with as much vanilla as possible, or max a single line of text on the cards. that would be awesome!
I'd like to see a TCC take on Riku of Two Reflections. I know there's a very competitive way to play him, but that seems boring and I'd like to see what shenanigans the Professor dreams up for him.
I'm not the kinda person that just says to put Scarab god into stuff. But Scarab god actually works here.
And hes cheaper after a recent commander reprint!
I have a Gisa and Geralf commander deck. I love it to DEATH.
The grim reality of the situation is that I run grimgrin as my zombie commander
Ha Death I see what you did there. I also have this deck but I slightly tweaked it
A lot of games I'vr played with the twins gave ended up as "oh man, Im so behi- oh draw spell..." *draws gas, board explodes* "dude!" "Yeah I forgot I was blue..."
Anon Ymous this is very accurate.
Thank you.
perpetual timepiece. everytime ive drawn it in my opening hand ive gotten a gigantic board super quickly.
This video was instrumental in building my Varina, Lich Queen deck and is certainly helping with tuning it! Thanks Prof!
Gisa and Geralf was THE card that got meback into Magic (via EDH). Happy to see a lil spotlight on a deck for them.
The same for me, love Gisa and Geralf
A budget version of this would be amazing
Yes please
@@theepicrusins8779 well to start, narfi's so cheap you can get the showcase version for under a buck. You can buy it for 25€ now
It's crazy cause I just bought the gisa and Gerald commander deck and it's OP
Little known fact: The undead LOOOOOVE honey! Do you know where they get it?
Zombees.
Ba dum tiss
This is an abomination.
wow. the synergy of this deck is impressive. well done professor
As someone who likes playing odd generals I would love to see your take on Ertai the corrupted as nearly every esper deck ends up as artifacts
Loved this video. Just did a build around this commander. One of my all star cards to target with buried alive is Wonder. Flying zombies all game.
Hi ! I would love to see The Gitrog Monster .. looks like one of the most fun cards to build around
I'm so glad to see my favorite zombie commander get a spotlight!
I run a very similar G&G deck.

you know professor when I requested partners last time this is not exactly what I had in mind
I've already got a Gisa and Geralf Commander deck and video has a lot of great tips. Thank you Professor!
litterally just starting making this last night haha, you discussed the infinite combos which most of the videos on here do not, thank you for giving this tribal deck a tech worthy of their madness.

Sounds good, I'm with them. kozilek eldrazi tron please. Don't forget the mana vault. Thanks prof. You're the best.
I literally told myself i wish i could see a Gisa and Geralf deck tech yesterday night, thanks prof
I would love to see an update to this decklist including the Battlebond and M19 cards. Both sets added some decent Zombies.
First time player here and I bought a zombie commander starter deck. And I wanna thank you for showing me some good cards to add and look out for for my deck.
PROFESSOR!
I was literally in the process of building this deck! Thank you so much~!
Really liked the banter from the beginning.
Also, I love how at the end you sounded so so very much like a PBS announcement at the end of a nova video (love them too)
I wanted to make a commander deck with these two ever since I first saw them but being fairly new to magic I had no idea where to start but this was super helpful!
Update! I finally started trading and collecting what I need to build this deck. Thank you for making this video to give me the starting point I needed for this deck

Shawn Shea I'd love to see that too since I've been running mayeal since February. She's soooo damn fun. Lol
This channel has hit almost every archetype in edh (Voltron, Tribal, +1/+1 counters, etc.) but one that Prof hasn't done is an Instant/Sorcery deck, so I think that should be the next build. Wort the Raidmother maybe?
I would love to see a trial Ally deck with the partner commanders Bruse Tarl and Akiri!
General Tazri.
Thanks Professor! Got some great ideas for my G&G deck I hadn't thought of
Who in their right mind wouldn't like and(or) love the Professor's videos
Loving how many EDH videos you've been putting out lately!
Rhys the Redeemed!!!! It was the first commander deck i ever built and its my pride and joy. I would love you see how you about making a deck centered around him!!
I have 9 commander decks at the moment and Gisa and Geralf is definitely my favorite.
Selvala, Heart of the Wilds.
I make budget decks and whike this may not be the most powerful i have it is one of the most fun to play. Can get very strong but needs a couple of extra turns to get going. My favorite zombie after passing ended up being Cleaver Scaab! Also, one of its biggest weaknesses ended up flying. Pls "Arjun, the shifting flame", it's fun and atypical !
I just built the same kind of deck amazed by how many cards we both used seeing as this is my first edh deck I'd like to see red white angels
River Kelpie makes this deck insane! Especially if Mikaeus is out. I would love to see your take on making a highly tuned Ulrich of the Krallenhorde deck. I think werewolf tribal presents a unique challenge with deck building due to flip mechanic.
Im making a Sidisi, Brood Tyrant deck right now so this will be great. Thanks prof
Still relevant today! Would love to see an updated zombie edh deck. Maybe with Wilhelt!
I use Nekusar as my edh zombie tribal. Having access to fevered visions, cathartic reunion, and extra madness cards is great.
I have a similar deck and trust me, the mimeoplasm is the commander that you want
(*I'm doing it with +1/+1 Counters and Tokens in mind, in case someone is wondering.)
my friend as thinking of a zombie edh. this will be a good guide. thanks prof!
Nice work & really enjoyed this video,
but where is the Prized Amalgam? ;)
I love the voice acting in the beginning.
I love that everyone is doing Zombie videos right when im making my EDH deck.
Kronical69420 haha and I put this deck together last night only to see this video the next day
It's been a while since you've done a commander tech! I would like to see your take on Wort, The Raidmother.
i would love to see either an atraxa deck centered around best friends forever (planeswalkers), or breya infinite combos since it has so many synergies to work around.
Would love to see a break down for Glissa, The Traitor.
how about triad of the fates with some Oblivion stone shenanigans? sounds like a cool EDH deck tech.
Here's a challenge: Ulrich, of the Krallenhorde
I haven't even watched it yet and I know I'm going to LOVE it!!!
Thank you so much!!!! This was the exact commander I wanted to see
Diregraf Captain looks like the Hound from GoT.
I love my Bruna commander deck so I would live to see you run that one. That is, the original Bruna the W/B one who's actually good.
Wow, this deck functions really similarly to a Tymaret, the Murder King deck that I designed literally today! :o What a coincidence!
Professor, I'd like to see a deck tech on Queen Marchesa. She's the commander that got me into the format, and I'd love to see someone else's take on her!
I would love to see you build one around Reaper king love that card
I run these two in my Sydisi Brood Tyrant deck. I get to have more fun with Dredge. I'm kinda surprised the the Prof didn't mention Wonder. You get to turn your zombie swarm into a flying zombie swarm.
Sidisi Brood Tyrant as commander + Gisa and Geralf on battlefield = toooons of fun.
I was having a blast with this on arena before realizing I couldn't even add the deck since there's no permanent 100 card formats
Noxious Ghoul's artwork is freaking metal!
I want to see how well this will translate over to a Sidisi, Brood Tyrant commander list. Thanks for the video and ideas!
A lot of these cards are included in the "Undead Unleashed" precon 🧟♂️⚰️
You literally just completely described my brothers commander deck minus nim deathmantle
Thank you Professor. Sometime in the future could we possibly see an Eldrazi titan commander?
Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger tricky to craft a completely colorless deck but I love the flavor of it.
I love the skits at the beginning
Ashes of the Fallen is a fun card, letting you cast any normally non-zombie creature card from your graveyard
finally i have been running this deck a while and looking for pointers
I would love to see your take on a deck with Nekusar, the Mindrazer as the commander.
Did you forget to cut a part at 9:41?
yeah seriously
I'd love to see an Anafenza the Foremost deck tech.
Omnath locus of rage Professor!
Id be interested in a deck tech for Kalemne Iroas champion or Surrak Dragonclaw.
awesome edh decktech!!! here is a list of some decks im considering making but not really sure some great cards to have in it.
-brago, king eternal
-rith, the awkener
-balthor, the defiled
big fan of this series.
i would love to see the following for this series
colorless eldrazi tribal
5 color horde of notion elemental tribal
and 5 color scion of the Ur-dragon dragon tribal
could you PLEASE do a captain sisay deck tech? I have been trying to find an updated one and its impossible. I love your content, and the way you do deck techs. It would be great to see!
Tappedout Link: tappedout.net/mtg-decks/gisa-and-geralf-zombie-tribal-edh-commander/
Prized amalgam, please!
All Done :)
Thanks!
Carlo Rositano add Wonder
Ulises a.k.a Brown Winder has been added :)
thank you very much professor best zombie deck I've seen definitely going to make it just need to find the best place to buy them as i live in ireland thanks again
I have a Gisa and Geralf EDH, but it is not one I have spent much time or resources building. I have mostly crappy zombies in it that I had lying around. It still can pull out wins and is fun.
I quite like overseer of the damned and noxious ghoul. It can be a synergistic one sided board wipe.
I would love to see you make a spellslinger deck with Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge.
Olivia, Mobilized For War
I’d like to see this updated with the newer zombies
