I test rode the Bonneville Speedmaster out at Freewheelin' and that's the most comfortable I've been on a bike. The sitting position, the bars, mid-controlls, it all just works. I enjoy your vids. Good job.
I got my thruxton RS two months ago. I’ve already invested $1500 into parts lol! The great thing about this bike is that you can be a hooligan on it, or if you want you can take it easy. I got my 2020 RS used with 1300 miles on the clock, cost $13,000. Considering a new bike would have been almost $18,000 out the door, and the modern 2022 models are the same as the 2020, it made sense to buy used. The thing is practically brand new in every way. If you ask me, it’s the best thing since sliced bread! 😂👍

@ 3.54 you said the Thruxton, Scrambler, & the Street Cup are all new bikes. Actually, the Scrambler came out in the 60's! Sometime during the intervening yrs, Triumph stopped production, I guess. The Scrambler was back during the early 2000's, as I was going to buy one, and the Dealer had 3 in stock, in Scottsdale AZ. Of course, that was after I checked online to see if they were still being manufactured. Anyway, Thank you for the Reviews!

It is a given that Triumph and BMW owners are very loyal to their brand; yours is Triumph. Mine is BMW. I think the Thruxton R is a superb machine but to imply the BMW boxer engine is not smooth? And although the engine is "wide" that has no impact when you sit on it. The R9T weighs less, has a lower centre of gravity, more hp and torque and no fuss shaft drive. I think you should do a side by side ride comparison. Just for fun. With respect from 🇨🇦
@@DoodleOnAMotorcycle You are obviously very light in weight and unless suspension tuned for your weight it would be quite harsh. The BMW dealership would not set up the suspension for each test ride(r). The Thruxton is a fascinating offering, but based on too narrow a sampling, here’s my observation: The longer one owns a Thruxton the more it’s farkled into a Speed Twin. The bars get a tad higher, the pegs a tad lower, the seat a tad more comfortable. I suspect if Triumph has a “sober second thought swap” program six months after a Thruxton purchase, they’d sell a lot of Speed Twins.
I made a comment once that flat footing is better. In which i still believe. But if you want a variaty of choice learning how to hobble is a must. If your 6ft its never a problem but smaller people shouldnt be restricted or limited because of that. In citys it can be annoying especially after a long ride i know. But if the bike you like and feel most comfortable on means you have to prepare yourself before stopping, So be it. It will be yours and a thing of beauty to its owner. I have had 3 Triumphs myself and now on a 2016 Rocket 3. I flat foot no probs but its long and is awkward to manouver. I cant throw it in like ive always been used to, But ive got used to that. Nothing slows it down that engine just pulls so Just hang on when its windy. But for those long rides i just love it. For that engine is effortless. I also feel the same about BMW,s. They are an exellent well made Bike, But i just cannot get used to that sticky out engine.
Sooo. Now that you are familiar with the triple engine and the parallel twin, what do you like better? Why? I almost went with the Speed Twin but I already have a twin in the Triumph Thunderbird. Thoughts?
I should have elaborated :(. I am newer to motorcycle riding and you mentioned not to touch the front brake on gravel. I think it might be ok if you use a very light touch, have ABS, or otherwise avoid locking the wheel. However, I don't know this for sure about gravel because I am new. I was wondering if you recalled back to know if maybe the bike promptly laid down because the wheel locked.
Oh yea forgot I had that oldie in there - yea it was for using the front brake on gravel. Don’t know about the other questions, though, some dirt riders could probably answer that one
I've been eyeing this baby ... just to be clear, the Thruxton..ok and a little of you. for this coming summer.:) The bike just looks right for my speed and taste.

Watch 44teeth review and see what the thruxton rs can do!
Doodle You LOVED the Street Cup! The Thruxton R is just the BIG brother with WAY more cool stuff included like 1200 cc, totally adjustable Race suspension and Brembo 4 piston brakes. I can imagine you on this motorcycle!. This motorcyle has Un-Godly torque up to 160 mph! This bike defines "Streetable'.
Doodle I did not mean to offend you on the other post! BTW the Thruxton makes 107hp the V Max and R1 make approximately 200. Just a tiny bit higher performance and more difficult to handle at full throttle. Riding them gives quite a rush! Enjoy if you dare but please don't hurt yourself.
You CAN and SHOULD use front brake on gravel. You just can’t GRAB front brake on gravel. Take an off road course and get proficient off road-very important. Sooner or later you will have to ride off road if you ride enough. Thanks for the review Doodle.
Triumph bikes are soooo smooth and the more you roll the throttle the more they pull. No oh crap power band to accidentally hit and scare the bleep out of yourself and then quit riding because you had a bad experience. You need to come to Oregon we have it all every type of road wide flat to mountain twisters to give you a grin from ear to rear.
Wow...you so damned lucky...however so am I to own both a 2017 Thruxton 1200 R and a 2020 Speed Triple 1050 RS. I totally agree with how smooth the Triumphs are to ride. You can use a front brake on gravel however it takes some Technical know how and practice which is best done on a dirt or light bike at first with your foot out MX style just in case.
Doodle, yes boxers are wide. However once you get 15,000 miles on one you’ll never look back. Love, affection, trust ,and confidence inspiring are just a few of the emotions you’ll experience long after your bored with a classic triumph. As sweet they are only a boxer will keep you longing to ride year after year. I’ve owned 28 new bikes since 2001 and the only one I’m sorry I traded was my r1200 rt. Eventually you’ll join the cult and never look back.

When you went down on the gravel, did you lock up the front wheel?
Wasn’t riding it, me and another girl were walking it back
@ 6:35?
I should have elaborated :(. I am newer to motorcycle riding and you mentioned not to touch the front brake on gravel. I think it might be ok if you use a very light touch, have ABS, or otherwise avoid locking the wheel. However, I don't know this for sure about gravel because I am new. I was wondering if you recalled back to know if maybe the bike promptly laid down because the wheel locked.
Oh yea forgot I had that oldie in there - yea it was for using the front brake on gravel. Don’t know about the other questions, though, some dirt riders could probably answer that one
Doodle On A Motorcycle 🙂
Have you done a vid on a honda rebel, I keep seeing vids pop up on these x
I haven’t but been thinking about it!!
I've been eyeing this baby ... just to be clear, the Thruxton..ok and a little of you. for this coming summer.:) The bike just looks right for my speed and taste.
Watch 44teeth review and see what the thruxton rs can do!

hey doodle! what software do you use to edit your videos?
Hi Nahnii! I use iMovie, it’s free if you have a mac.
@@DoodleOnAMotorcycle thanks. I found a Windows equivalent 😉
Doodle
You LOVED the Street Cup!
I like the new look, Triumph do make nice bikes.
Stunning bike, looks so... sophisticated
Beautiful Doodle. If only I was three decades younger haha ;-)
Love the look of this bike
Nice bike. Good review!
Sooo hugely curious question and maybe a topic for a future video. Have you ever ridden a trike of any kind or would you ever ride one?
I haven’t but hell yea I would! 🤪
Your so awesome! Lol hope to see you test drive one sometime in the future. I think you would look totally badass! Live fast and ride free!
Wow nice motorbike idol thank you for sharing your ride review one friend here watching your video from Philippines
I like Triumph Bonneville 650 it was a wonderful machine
did you try the speed twin?
no
It is great to see another female who loves bikes.
I like this bike.
😀😀 Great video! Did you type out your script?? 🤔🤔 I wish I could deliver that smoothly, my mind is all over the place trying to talk on my videos. ☹☹
no :P who would intentionally write out this mess? :'D
@@DoodleOnAMotorcycle , uumm.... Me! LOL!!! 😄😄😂😂😂😂
I have to write out my radio scripts all the time, just to blow through them at 100mph! 😂😂
Doodle i love you. Keep going
