Such a fantastic piece of music! Well arranged, it just pops and sticks to your mind and the graphics in the titles were amazing and felt like a James Bond movie from that era. Columbo always gets the best!
Falk's best and most realistic performance as Columbo. He is less the befuddled hobo and more like a working-class stiff cop, still very smart but also very lucky. Barry is still the slickest dude this side of Cary Grant, elegant as always.
The victim was still alive when the killer returned from Mexico, but died a little later in the hospital. Columbo eventually caught the killer by faking the accomplice’s death and getting the killer to admit he didn’t really love her and might eventually have killed her, too.
Thank you so much for uploading the music. Just one little thing...the information in the opening forgot to mention William Link as co-creator of Columbo. Levinson and Link were credited together in every episode of the series and on the script for the stage play "Prescription Murder," which served as the basis for this pilot.
guy kills his wife goes on a trip comes back and makes it look like someone broke in stole stuff which he dumped in the ocean on his trip and also makes it looks like someone killed his wife when he gets home. He was having an affair with another lady and lady he was having an affair with was an actress so they dressed her up and made it look like they had an argument and she stormed off the plane to make sure that there were witnesses and evidence that she was alive but she was the fake the real one was at home dead.
If you are here I'm figuring you probably love Columbo. But how many of you love the show and play it sometimes just to hear the music? Yup! Me too!

Non esiste più musica come questa
That last piece starting at 4:26 is brilliant. Only ever used in this Columbo episode.

I like to picture it as the character's main theme, as it plays at his first appearance.
