I mean how do these other guys have more subs then you. Top players and other guys posting 30+ minute videos of unorganized mess while you have these clean simple videos really nice video
I agree 100%. Concise, well put together information is sorely appreciated in this complex game. The 90s X-men cartoon reference is just the icing on the salami... cake.
Keaton Waugh because tekken is no easy game. players now are mostly consistently giving 5 to 12 min of unedited mataerial that starts from the basics to help tekken beginners they mostly go over the same thing this guy does. *generalizing* the fundamentals of tekken and it's characters without going too much in depth and adding production quality
Well we've only existed for a week, while other channels have been around for literally years. I'm elated with the positive response as is! One advantage other channels have over us is sheer speed of production. If you want to learn the game immediately, right now, they're the place to go to, even if there is a lot to wade through. Scripting and editing these videos on the other hand is time-consuming, especially given this project is something I do in my free time. At the end of the day both approaches have their pros and cons, and nothing but respect here for other T7 content creators. Cute dog btw! My whippet (Steve) is kind of the mascot for this channel :)
@@ThatBlastedSalami the real difference is these videos stands for years more than other's unorganized mess. I just saw this video was 3 years ago didnt even doubt when I saw the whole thing. Just respect for how you keep your videos in the same way till noe and hope you do same in days to come. 🙏
I loved this format: explaining basics while giving an insight on characters I hope you keep doing like this, maybe trying (if possible) to showcase different characters each time. It is a very interesting way to present content clear and very informative, thank you
He's not really a dedicated turtle character no, but certainly has some powerful defensive tools. His "flash" can stop a lot of upclose pressure, and is completely unique to him. His ff+4 is also an excellent whiff punisher.
I wish there was an option to play the game in slow motion. It's so fascinating and incredibly informative to view the game in such a way. Video is great, thanks.
I absolutely adore your videos. Well edited, well explained and simple to understand. You're doing an amazing job. Thank you on behalf of all Tekken noobs such as me.
3 years ago you were at 2000 subs. Now you're over 85k. I know sometimes things happen that might discourage you, but don't lose focus. The tekken community appreciates all of these videos and they have helped newbies and oldheads immensely.
Good job, man! You are the only channel on youtube that has adequate learning guides. Others from what i searched just some stream cuts that can't give any comprehensive info on the topic, and for new tekken players like myself it's hard to understand them. I hope you do well, will wait for your new guides!
Stream would be great! What I like about this video is that he didn't decide to start with basics, as everyone does now. Very thoughtful! Great expectations!
Cheers! Jin is a lot of fun. Please check the link in the description to the Tekken Zaibatsu forums. There's a 10+ page guide there which I'll be making into a video soon.
only 2k subs??? This was one of the best explanatory vids on Tekken i've seen so far! Keep it up, you will become big if you maintain this quality in your vids! +1 sub
Well the channel's only been around for a week. Very happy with the response so far! Glad to have you aboard, and hope you enjoy the rest of our videos :)
Very clear and concise explanations there! Well done! Keep these coming! On a side note those slowmos made me appreciate how awesome the character animations are in this game! Wowzers ! 😀
This is really helpful thank you. I've been playing for years (tekken 1-5) but I never really looked in depth into the terminoligy and everything else. Now I can finally git gud at the game. I think this is helpful for beginners and people returning to the franchise.
This is the best channel I could have found. I haven't played since Tekken 3 and these videos and the links to the forums are really helpful, thanks for the great content. :]
Ive been a long time player and honestly I stopped playing t7 shortly before geese was introduced. I just kind of lost interest as the rest of my local FGC wasnt trying to get any better at the game and the demise of tekken zaibatsu. I've been most invested in 2d fighters but with me recently participating in final round 2018 and season 2 tekken coming....and the combination of your videos I am super interested in the game again. Thank you for all the great content. I was just randomly brushing up on old tekken info and your channel popped up. I love the editing, dry humor, very informative strategies and counter strats. This is by far one of the best tekken channels currently. Keep up the great work. I would love to see a break down for how to use practice mode more efficiently and the theory of conditioning an opponent because the way you explain things simplify so much. Thank you again for the great content. --kuma228
This is my first time playing tekken, or any fighting game, so i'm 100% new to this. I was put off cuz the game doesn't have tutorials but i'm saved by your videos ha thanks
By far the best Tekken videos I've seen. I love the format, very professional. Much better even than pro or experienced famous players on twitch/youtube. Really hope you guys keep making videos!
@ThatBlastedSalami thanks for these, even though they are using Tekken 7 as a example game a lot of these fundamentals seem to be applicable to Tekken 8 as well which is my first ever competitive fighting game, let alone my first ever competitive Tekken.
These videos are very helpful! Thank you so much! I know the game may have changed somewhat but this is a good way to start. Just got the game & I'm simply so amazed by everything. New sub + shared with the bois 👌🏼
Dude you're great, I love the way you explain things, clear and without putting in too many infos (too many for a beginner, of course). You earned a sub. P.s. I F***ING HATE THAT ASUKA B***H ALWAYS HAVING TROUBLE WHEN FACING HER
Cheers man! Always be careful when attacking Asuka, she has so many ways to punish aggressive opponents. You really need to be patient when facing her.
i think it's funny how at high levels of play, one player can wavedash in the other player's face making him think "what is he going to do?", while at low levels, the opponent will just mash buttons and theow your wavedash mixup in the toilet XD
Yeah the opponent has to respect you in order to allow wavedash timing mixups. At lower levels of play you just need to apply basic frametraps and bait out punishment opportunities.
Please start streaming, and with good commentary on how you are playing, and what mistakes your opponents are doing. And keep up the good work on your tutorials! :D
Dude...wtf man...such an awesome video and so few Subscribers! Keep up the excerent work! And very nice video! Now I understand the shit the commentators talk in the Tekken tournaments!

That O.Sagat video gave me traumatic flashbacks of the horrors of fullscreen fireball zoning in Super Turbo... thank you Jokes aside Super Turbo is good and this video is good, thank you!
There is occasional function to no movement, though. Especially in lower levels of play and mid range 2 or 3 where your opponent doesn't exactly know how to safely approach so you can usually net a fast long range attack as soon as they move. From time to time, I'm able to use this with more experienced players who turtle up at range 1 or 2, waiting for me to try something so they can try to beat it out with their fastest move. I find that, with Jin, you can usually trade in your favor (if not outright win) with 4.
More streams soon! I've had an arm injury from cycling since a few weeks ago, which has slowed progress on videos and stopped me from playing online much, but it's on the mend.
Hi! I surprised how detail this clip has and impressed! And May I make Korean subtitle and spread this clip? I really want to Korean fresh Tekken gamer know this basic things and understand, dont be afraid when they face with another gamer. I'll wait for your kind reply! Hope to have great days! Peace from Korea, AKA.Sangmin.

Would Gigas be considered a Turtle then? Since he has great range on his basic jabs and moves like his BACK+2 and Forward+4 which have massive push back with an incredible whiff punish with his Down+2.
Yes Gigas can certainly be played in a Turtle style due to his long arms, along with the other "big" characters Jack and Kuma. He seems more designed towards rushdown than the other 2 however.
Whatever you feel most comfortable with! I know plenty of amazing players on both. Though, if you want to use one of the more execution heavy characters like Mishimas, I believe a stick will offer more consistent results in the long run.
A mixup is a mixup because there's multiple options besides it that can accessed by the offender from the same point, a throw can be a mixup in itself if it's something like a catch stance where you hold the opponent and then you can make a choice between multiple other throws to throw them, each throw has its own unique way to free from it. I don't know examples from Tekken because this is my first time with the game, i know some from virtua fighter though

That Blasted Salami excuse is yoshimitsu a effective turtle character cause he's my main

That Blasted Salami so he is a defensive type
Not really. He has defensive tools, like all the other characters, but he's more based around unorthodox set ups.
You are outstanding at explaining the intricacies of Tekken's mechanics in a way people can understand. Keep up the great work!

Would Gigas be considered a Turtle then? Since he has great range on his basic jabs and moves like his BACK+2 and Forward+4 which have massive push back with an incredible whiff punish with his Down+2.

Whatever you feel most comfortable with! I know plenty of amazing players on both. Though, if you want to use one of the more execution heavy characters like Mishimas, I believe a stick will offer more consistent results in the long run.
Question: Is a throw itself a mixup or it depends on the game?

It's weird seeing the word zaibatsu and not seeing best friends before it
sorry for the dumb question as im new player xd
but is this tutorial still effective in 2021 ?
