what happened to the 3rd one? i saw one of the bigger one killing the smallest 4th one. and mum feeding the little one to the remaining 3. now there are only 2! what happened between that video taken in mid june and this one from mid july?
The third one was the male and he did well. First one to branch and fledge. Several weeks after they'd all left the nest #3 came back for about 20 mins and he looked well fed and healthy. Hope that helps!
I guess the law of survival, I think it's just instinct and the big chick is the crazy one. I am pretty sure momma forgot that it was her chick, probably thought it was a prey that she left there like the other one. Mom got the corpses mixed up, fed the chicks their sibling and momma took away the corpse of the prey.
This is a cruelty that humans and all creatures were not allowed to eat. The reason for this crime is that the mother returned to the nest empty-handed.
