2013 BMW C600 Sport & C650 GT Review

- A few days ago I left Malibu, California, bounding down the Pacific Coast Highway, the 10 and 405 freeways on my way home to Long Beach. When traffic allowed, speeds crept in excess of posted limits, and where traffic snarled to a crawl, lane splitting ensued. It's a route I've traveled many times in the same fashion, only in this instance I wasn't aboard a motorcycle. I was riding a scooter, for chrissake.
BMW's C600 Sport, and its sibling C650 GT, however, aren't normal scooters. These things are motorcycles masquerading as scooters by way of their step-through chassis and smaller wheels. When I think of a scooter, the ability of zipping around a tour bus in the HOV lane of SoCal freeway traffic doesn't come to mind, but that's exactly what I was doing on my ride home from the C600/C650 GT's press launch.

I have this scooter and I ride those bigger bike too as well as a tinny 150 for work. I don't fine any problem with those sportsbike guys, bikers are a fun lot. On the straight yeah it would be limited in speed, but how fast can you do the twisties, that where the fun and skill of a rider are. This scooter give lots of fun in the twisties, many loud mouth just talk only, I don't think your skill will out do this scooter.
And do you know that, its more difficult to ride a scooter in the twisties than a motorcycle, being cvt you don't hv that drop gear and control engine braking, Its cvt and you need damn good throttle control.
Roda Roda it's not that dramatic. Just encourages you to not make throttle changes mid corner.
Lets all keep an open mind to what is out there in our market, THANK YOU!!!
Gas cost, maybe, but scooters (because of the CVT transmission) aren't
actually the most efficient way to go around. A 400-500cc scooter will need
more fuel per mile then a Kawasaki 650R/Versys, or a BMW F800 series bike.
If I could have one of everything. I would have one.

I ride both motorcycles and scooters and am objective about the benefits each have. You're riding for the wrong reasons. God forbid you don't get accepted in.. or get laughed at by the "motorcycle community". What are you, 16 years old?!
You do know if you read the name of the Video, you should be able to tell what you are expecting to see. So you have a choice, you don't have to be here watching this video.

lol i know i get carried away sometimes. If im feeling lazy i wont spell or punctuate correctly mostly because people get the point and because comments don't need to be spelled correctly or even be a complete sentence. that's what a comment is just somebody's blurb, or remark.
How is this scooter better (or worse) than a similar sized motorcycle???
Compare it to...
Honda's NC700SA (473Lbs, 17" wheels, 21L compartment, low center of gravity)
Scooters are nerdy.
If these manufacturers are trying to convince me to buy one...
they're not doing a good job at all.
If i wasnt in the situatiin or point of my life i am. I would still have my burgman but i would have my harley as my main bije instead of the bmw. I use to have sportbikes but sorry i like to be a lil comfortable and i dont go to the track evry weekend which is what they are made for

i could care less about that bmw it is a waste of engineering prowess that BMW is known for i have rode the tmax and i find it offensive that yamaha sells a 530cc brand new for more than the price of an R1, furthermore the bimmer is a $15,000 600cc scooter that has a top speed of 108mph. in what world do you live in to afford a $15,000 scooter over a top of the line literbike of just about any brand?

My current cheapo 300cc scooter has better suspension and brakes then my last 650cc kawasaki had, and both aren't even close to a Tmax or this "bimmer". Given a good road and rider, that "shitty scooter" can outrun most "big man proper bike only" riders with big mouths.
