The final vlog from my hotpots of China series, and Chongqing style hotpot certainly is the hotpot aficionado's choice, and the spiciest. Again it is possible to find this in the UK! Yes the video Is long but so many interesting dishes, restaurants and street food items in this hour long blockbuster.
There is a hotpot place in Bristol called Great Chonquing if you ever fancy it again when you’re here. Though admittedly, I didn’t go much on it; it was seriously lacking flavour. Yet I continue hearing people rave about it, I can’t figure out why
My favourite journalist/food writer was Anthony Bourdain. He always just went for it, hell for leather..embraced each cuisine and respected the food of each region he went to. You invoke that same spirit and enthusiasm. Humble yet fun and informative. Great video. I really enjoyed it
Evening PM, looking forward to giving this one a watch. Many thanks for the birthday Cameo message courtesy of Jack, Yosra and Esra - you really must visit Mr Chillis for Sichuan delights next time you're in Liverpool. You are the thinking man's bon viveur, keep these videos coming!
@@JASylvester Thanks for this 👍 my brother in law knows his Chinese food and speaks highly of Mr Zhang's, so we will give it a try next time I'm in Lpool.
@@primemutton Brilliant. I know it isn’t as exotic as China but have you ever visited Donegal? Born and raised there and I think you’d definitely enjoy it.
Great stuff Mutton. That eel looked lethal! And that veg at the end..... On a European note - I'm on my travels to France next week, we'll be in Paris and Lyon but driving between them so lots of time for exploring. Any tips?

YESS I've been waiting for the China Vlogs lets gooo!
An hour long bonanza for you here!
Loved the longer style content. I know the metrics will not be as glamorous but I can say I thoroughly enjoyed it.
@@ScottIsherwood 3 of the 4 China videos I have in the pipeline will be of similar length . Ofc a long edit

The 'sweet and sour' fish looked the absolute business
Nice one interesting vlog , would love to see another guiness pub crawl from Ireland .
Thinking of doing a couple of Irish vlogs mid August
@@primemutton Great look forward to those then !
I bet the smells are incredible in that market 5:50!
Great video PM! Makes me want to travel to China! Cheers from Washington DC.
I'd strongly recommend a visit!
Who has an appetiser before a michelin star meal...lucky sod!
40+ years ago, there was no ZERO Chengdu or Sichuan hot pot. At that time there were only Chongqing hot pot and North China hot pot.
Have to say the food looks amazing although I'm sure it's dangerous upon exit!
@@MrWeddG it’s worth getting used to spice , I’m sure you know people who staunchly refuse spice and are missing great flavours

You should have had a beer! Surely would have been ok in a Michelin place
@@unklestu they had craft beer that was served at room temperature. Defo investigated that. Otherwise cold but weak beers well below 4%ABV
