Hi Nags, i have one questions regarding the testing of Power BI report. How do we verify whether the values we are showing with the help of visuals are correct , i mean whether they are showing the correct values/figure with respect to the data we are using?
That's really most important thing. How we will do manual testing is like, In case of excel source use pivot table option or apply some filters in columns in excel and compare the results in power bi by applying same filters. In case of database sources, write SQL queries and compare the results in power bi. This is what manual testing and most of the organisation will have seperate team for it. If by mistake at row no. 9000th we enter some text(AAABC) instead of salary(eg 60000), how power query can find this issue while importing the data from csv. 2. if we select some datapoint on one visual and it is interacting with other visual within the same page and we decided jump to another page and then we see while coming back to previous page it is refreshed, is there a way to save the last state of a page within a report just like persistent option for slicers.(did i make any sense, let me know i can explain again). You can't have multiple dimension in the same chart. In this case try bubble chart that allows multiple variable / dimension relationship
Sir we can also use replace Value alternate to conditional column
Conditional Column is one Step task. In case of Replace, for each replace it will create one step.
So Conditional Column is performance efficient
