This film should have received an Oscar for best MTV video! It was an honor to meet Lisa Wilcox at the Texas frightmare horror convention back in 2008.
This scene is very symbolic
In it Alice is able to grow up into a strong woman with new confidence as she is now able to look at herself in the mirror and accept who she has become.
She has lost her family and friends but she hasn't given up as she carries with her her friends items in which case they are more like talismans in this scene,each giving his or her strength to Alice to carry on as she prepares to take down Freddy.
But in the end the main truth is that she has always been the dream master from the start only she lacked confidence to see that within herself.
Wow, I never even thought of it that way, you're an excellent writer and I can see ur in tune with the dark spirituality found in these movies. Since u seem to know the movie well I'm wondering about the church scene starting at 2:46. In part 3 the hospital was called Our Lady of Sorrows but I wonder if the church was also called that? Anyway. There's powerful symbols here also with the crosses, etc which can be interpreted in different ways

@@resetsetmefree478 to be honest, the church is not from the hospital from part 3 but a construct of the dream world that Alice falls through to fight Freddy, why a church, it's unknown but maybe it's a place that was created by Alice herself as a safe haven that could be used ether to remind Freddy of who his maker really is or for her to feel safe.
However I wonder if this church exists in the dream world or real world as when the souls of everyone escapes, they escape into a dark night, if It was the dream world..I would think there would be a fancy sfx to indicate that there in the dream world.
More movies should have scenes like these. Agree, or strongly agree?

It's only underrated simply because Patricia Arquette played Kristen in 3, and Tuesday Knight played her in 4, but hell, Lisa Wilcox was so good as Alice, I don't hold it against the series one bit.
Nightmare on Elm Street 4 is my favorite in the series after the original solely bc of Alice. I love her as a character.
I usually don't watch or like horror, but watching Alice stand up against a mean bully is quite refreshing to watch

Fun Fact...Nightmare on Elm Street Franchuse not only went on to Save New line Cinema from bankruptcy but kept it in business long enough to kick out other movies...new line cinemas will always be the House that Freddy Buit.

This was the best sequel to me. I always said that the inner trilogy of the series was 1, 3 and 4. It would’ve made sense to either end everything here or at least wait a while before getting started on filming 5 and releasing it at least two years later instead of one. The audience didn’t have a chance to breath between 4 and 5.
perfectly said. i’ve decided, if i were to show future teens this, it belongs in the order of 1,3,4 for true continuity and homage to the true freddy rules.

They tried and losers like the above person ruined any chance of the franchise continuing with their whinging. It was really good. They went with Cravens original vision, where Freddy was even worse than just a child killer. He was a child molester. Craven had to abandon his original vision because people weren't ready for a Freddy so dark. And then when we got one, everyone cried about it being dark af instead of Englunds quirky Freddy.

You liked it because they made freddy a child molester?? That wasn't why the remake was bad. It was everything else that made it bad. They need better writing and acting.
