Freddy putting on the shades was basically him mocking Kristen. No matter how she tried to "fancy up" her dream, he was letting her know that he's still in charge of the dream world. Freddy with the sunglasses seems like a parody of David Caruso in CSI: Miami even though this was obviously like probably around 15 years before that show.
Kristen tried to manipulate her dream and "dream some place fun" (the beach). But Freddy being the master of the dream world was having none of that. He was like "two can play that game" and "I'm still in charge". Him putting on the sunglasses, then laughing was just a way to tell the audience that those tricks wont work. Freddy will still invade your dream no matter what you do or no matter how you try to "pretty things up". Despite how "comical" it might seem, it was actually very bleak when Freddy started laughing after pushing her under the sand. There is NO HOPE.
No, if Elaine Parker didn't join the other Elm Street parents in killing Freddy, her daughter wouldn't be dead...I figure it like this, once Freddy was released, why not have someone spy him in the neighborhood because now that those children he killed are front and center, they now know who to look at
When she saw that little girl, I think she sensed that meant Freddy was coming. Also, when Freddy shows up, there's sounds in the background like a small child crying.
Why do little girls always pop up in every nightmare? Are they like recycled victims from Freddy before he became a demon, ghosts, or are they just sth Freddy created?
I think the little girl in this movie is Alice as a little kid. She is the Dream Master, where she is guarding the host as they dream; unfortunately, she was not strong enough to protect them and had forgotten the Dream Master Rhyme after her mother died. She was flew when she see Freddy. As for the other kids, those are the kids who he has murdered many years back.
