I just tried my first Famosa from Vons supermarket for 2 for $9.00. You are correct sir, It's excellent, a true value. Reminds me of what American "Use" to taste like.
I picked this up on a whim and tried it. Was surprised to see it in my area as we don't get a lot of these off the beaten path beers like this. Easy to drink and high carbonation but perfect for a hot day and would pair great with tacos, seafood, chicken, etc. I would definitely get this again. Also going to get a hold of some Peruvian beer this week and try that. Great channel.
awesome! Fun fact: it's actually called Gallo in Guatemala but they changed the name to export it to the USA. So if you are ever in Guatemala don't ask for a "Famosa", ask for a Gallo.

Tried this beer today , my usual to go to is modelo but this beer is a great beer . Hard to say this but more flavorful than modelo with a light crisp taste. Hate to go against my Mexican beer but them Guatemalans got some good beer
My parents are from Guatemala and when I go for vacation I always drink that beer but it’s called Gallo (roster) over there they always have one called dorada ice which is my favorite also brewed in Guatemala
