    We have a version of diesel here in the UK. It's not something I've really had but I believe its 50/50 beer and cider with blackcurrant diluting juice.

    Used to get one liter glasses of this combo in Germany when I lived in Bavaria. The bars and festivals called it "cola weizen" which was their wheat beer. Their wheat beers are on a completely different level. Absolutely delicious on their own but it was awsome with cola too. I wish the "German" beers they sold here were the same but their not. I encourage beer fans to take the trip just to try it lol. You wont be dissappointed!!!

      I’m hoping to make it there eventually. Sounds like I’ll never be thirsty.

      @@HalfAssBeerReview You certainly won't. If your going for the full authentic German experience, definitely go to Bavaria. Castles, festivals, and a ton of beautiful things to see plus the absolute HEART of German beer making. Take a tour of the brewery's too. There are tons!! Definitely worth the trip. If I could have migrated there, I would have lol. The food too man, it's all next level compared to here!!

      @@rmisionero They do!! They called that one a "radler". They are good on a hot day and it was very low alcohol content so it didn't dehydrate you to bad lol.

    Been there a week recently, i couldn't wrap my head around the idea of adding soft drinks to overall good beer.
    Spezi, on the other hand, that is divine when nice and cold.

    Call the beer and Dr. Pepper, red dye off-road diesel. They literally put red dye in untaxed diesel fuel for farmers to put in their tractors. If the DOT catches you running this stuff in your Kenworth or Peterbilt you're screwed.

    I have heard about this for years, but I have only met one person who actually does this. He said he does it when a beer has sat out for a while and has gone flat or as a starter drink when he is hung over.

    • @HalfAssBeerReview
      @HalfAssBeerReview  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When it’s flat makes sense because of all the carbonation in coke.

    can you get german wheat beer? you should try "bananenweizen". its like peanut and chocolate. banana and wheat beer are like they were made for each other.

      I can get my hands on a German wheat. Banana Juice will be the harder of the two, but my interest is peaked on this one.

    This looks interesting. It sort of reminds me of Leinenkugel's summer shandy which is a mix of beer and lemonade. Very refreshing , sweet, while still tasting somewhat like a beer.

      There’s a handful of things the Germans do to change up their beer a bit and this was just the easiest one with the amount of time I had to get ready. Cheers Shane!

    • @HalfAssBeerReview

      They do drink beer at a warmer temp than we do in the US. Something like 40-50 degrees f. Room temp is a common misconception though. 🍻

    They call them Radlers. You can even buy them in restaurants over there. Theyre great for hangovers. a way to get sugar caffeine and a little hair of the dog back in your system. Fanta and light beers or dark beers and dark cola usually pair well.
