Yeah it seems to me the 90s and the 70s had the best rock. 80s only had a few good albums like AC/DC or GnR- mostly hair bands that were ok but not great. 70s had Led Zepplin and Black Sabbath etc. 90s and early 2000s were good and now there's not much good rock or metal other than obscure bands.

Aaaahhh... pre-internet era. When we had to find out release dates and inside information about albums through (specialized) magazines that came out once a month, and we checked our calendar each day to count down to the release date. And when that day finally came, you actually had to go out the door to get to the music store. The ride home was full of nervous, exciting anticipation. And then, when you played your newly purchased records while looking at the artwork and bandpictures and reading the lyrics and credits.... Those were the days!
Kids of today will never get that feeling we had...

I saw them at the stadium formerly known as joe Robbie stadium where the dolphins play in Miami on December 31,1991, it was a rocking’ New Year’s Eve concert. There was another band that opened up for them and I remember saying,” who the hell is that! Their loud, distorted and the singer looks like Jesus”!.............that band was called SOUNDGARDEN!

I miss the late 80's and early 1990's really bad and remember this event like it was yesterday. The world was rabid to get a hold of the Use Your Illusion albums. One would not really know by this video how crazy people were for new studio material from Guns N' Roses. People were delirious trying to figure out what is going to happen with that band. There was already a riot and reports were coming out that Axl was showing up late. Izzy was out of the band at this point so people were even more crazy trying to figure out if ever seeing Guns N' Roses live was going to be a possibility. People knew how great they were live from either seeing them in person or hearing about the shows that started four months earlier in May. Thank God my friends and I were able to see Guns N' Roses two months earlier at the Inglewood Forum and with Skid Row. No words can describe what GNR was like in concert then. Skid Row were just as good. Luckily, GNR were able to find Gilby, he fit in really good.
