Hi everyone, I'm David, I'm the one who sent all this GNR stuff to Brendon. First, I wanna say how kind you all are to support the collection and support my decision to give it to Brendon. I just briefly wanna explain why I gave this to Brendon. I'm 53 yrs old, live in California, Bay Area. I discovered GNR when I was 16 yrs old. From that moment I was hooked. I love this band. Always have always will. Actually, I just saw them 2 weeks ago, Oct 1st in San Diego. I freakin love em. To me GNR is like McDonald's. Over a billion sold at McDonald's but yet no one claims to go to McDonald's. GNR sells out stadiums all over the world but yet i cant find anyone who is an uber fan like myself. No family, friends, co workers, no one! I've met casual fans but no one like Brendon. As I read your comments, I realize that yes, there are uber fans are out there, which is great! I wish I could meet you all and talk GNR! Every day I would watch Brandon's videos, one day he talks about his love for GNR and that was it. I knew he was the guy who would appreciate it and take care of my stuff. And I was right. Brendon understands the value of my collection and that makes me so happy. I'm a healthy 53 yr old. I hope to live another 50 yrs but I know I cant take this collection with me when I pass. I'm very fortunate to have a job that has provided a great life for me. I have never thought to ever sell this. It was never my intention. So that's why I'm stoked to have met Brendon cause I know he will carry the torch. Getting to know Brendon through his videos, I can see he takes care of his stuff and appreciates quality. I just know my stuff is in good hands. So thank you Brendon. I do wanna say I had an absolute blast in my teens and 20s searching for fun GNR stuff. It was always exciting to get bootlegs. I loved it. No one understood my love for GNR but that's cool, I still loved it! I plan to send just a bit more to Brendon in the coming weeks. And Ive had a blast watching these 3 unboxing videos Brendon made. So much fun to see. Thank you everyone for reading. Take care.
Hi David, I too live in the bay area. I think it is above and beyond a kind gesture to pass on your freaking awesome haul of GnR music, swag, etc. I like GnR but I ended up following Slash once he went solo. And I was always a big Scott Weiland fan so when VR formed, that was it for me. And I love Myles Kennedy with Slash, Todd Kerns, etc. I was never an Axl fan after seeing them twice and he left the stage both times. One time for the entire night, two songs into the set. Nevertheless, Appetite did change my life and I am sure there is or are hard core fans like yourself and Brendon out there. Stay safe and rock on! 🤘🙂
@@Norcalrocker How cool! You're in my neck of the woods! It funny reading your comments cause I'm exactly like you. Slash solo, his work with Myles, Scott and VR. When all these off shoots happened I followed them all and have some cool parafinailia from all those projects. I absolutely love those 2 snakepit records. They just never got the love they deserved. Anyways, so nice to hear from you. Thanks for reaching out.
I’ve always been surprised the solo stuff from Slash hasn’t been bigger. The stuff he has done with Myles Kennedy is up there as some of his best work. I break out Slash’s solo albums all the time. He’s a go to artist for me. But then so is Duff and all of Izzy’s records as well. The amount of solo and side projects from GNR is insane, but I love it. In the absence of new GNR I love that we have all the other stuff to hear.
Very cool…… for me my Guns n Roses was always Motley Crue. Today I live for this stuff, I collect all of the rock and metal I can especially the bands from the classic era. I saw Guns n Roses open for Motley and Whitesnake and the crowd at the time was like “what is going on.” Then a short bit later Appetite comes out and they take over the world. Me and a buddy (until work recently transferred me to Florida) would always make record store runs. I never found anyone who had as many CDs and me and my friend until I happened to come across one of Brendon’s videos. From that moment, I was hooked and watched all of his video and can’t wait for the next one to come out. To see he actually has me beat in CD collection count is astonishing, I got some work to do. Thanks for sharing your collection with him and thanks to Brendon for sharing it on TH-cam. It’s been a fun watch. I love the long boxes- for me those are the gems. But plenty of absolutely cool stuff in there. I don’t do social media - the yuck and filth that corrodes social media doesn’t interest me, however, I am working on a project that is likely to force me into at least one of the platforms. Again… great collection, Brendon…. Another great video!
@@BrendonSnyderdo you enjoy Velvet Revolver 🤔
If David is that big of a a fan and avid collector you should be seeing the Locked and Loaded box set on your doorstep any day now. What a haul.
This gets even more amazing for each episode. What a collection. Congratulations Brendon, you are the right man to take care of it.
That's super cool. Very Kind of that dude to give you that collection. I saw GNR twice. I saw them at the Ritz in October 1987 and then I saw them at MSG in 1991 with Alice In Chains opening.
Wow man, that is some collection, fair play to David! So great to see the love of music being spread around to others, that's what makes our hobby and passion so unique 🤘
Maybe Dave is from West Hollywood, hung out on the strip, made some connections through The Rainbow Bar and Grill, rubbed elbows with David G?! It is great to see people being nice to one another, and giving such a *quality* gift to someone who will take care of it. I was going to ask..... maybe Dave has a 20 box ZEPP set he can send along as the next gift. 🤘😊 Great show, thanks!
The big question is WHY is he giving it all away? Is this everything he owns? Did he keep ANY G N R items? Does he hate the band now? Got married? Downsizing? He could have sold all that for thousands of dollars on Ebay. Still hard to believe he sent all that to you, and at his own expense!
He said he doesn’t have anyone such as friends or family who are into the band and didn’t want to sell but instead wanted it to go to a person who would really appreciate it. He had been watching my channel for a while and saw some GNR videos and decided I was the guy it should go to. But I too hope he saved a little for himself.
@@BrendonSnyder That GnR treasure trove went to the right man! A little reward for all the great content you provide - well earned!
Hey Brendon, what an epic collection you received from David. (What a nice guy!). It makes me cry. All the best for both of you!
Cheers from Brazil.
It’s just mind blowing seeing this collection. Thank you for sharing because his passion for collecting is shining through your video and your enthusiasm!
It definitely blew my mind! I’m glad you enjoyed seeing it and could feel the passion come through.
The look on your cat's face when you was going through the boxes was priceless!. Thanks for sharing what Dave has sent you. I look forward to the next installment.
Yes my cat is a character! Haha 😂😂😂
Noodle is thinking oh no not more bloody CDs, more cat food please Daddy 🤣🙀
This is the GNR mother load! Very nice that he gave this to you.
This is way more incredible than the last videos. Can't believe he gave away so much for free. I'm so impressed that I want to say thank you to the guy as well.
All those sealed OG records including two Spaghetti Incidents. That's wild!
Yeah that was awesome!
As much as I would love all this stuff, I feel like I would be overwhelmed. 😂
Haha 😂
Man! U hit the jackpot on this. The holy grail. As a massive GN’R fan I don’t have hardly any of this. I’d love a copy of AFD as the one I had from the 80s got damaged. Thanks for sharing this video. A proper trip down memory lane.
Yeah I can’t believe everything that’s in this collection and how much of it there is! It was so nice of Dave to share it with me!
@@BrendonSnyderhe’s a legend for sharing it. What a collection. Hope he hasn’t fallen out of love with the band?
All that stuff is incredible. I love GNR. Having sealed copies of things to me is like hitting the jackpot.
I’m a firm believer in opening listening and enjoying the music. That said, I have these albums on CD so no need to open the vinyl.
@@BrendonSnyder absolutely, I agree 100%. It’s like collecting valuables for a museum
This continues to entertain and amaze Brandon. What could possibly be left? Tour books, Knucklebonz, tshirts hats etc. Looking forward to the next video!
Nice collection 👌 I like your kitty cat.
Yes, I like him too 😬
Thats incredible collection.
I’m blown away by it all!
That is a pretty cool Guns and Roses collection I'm a huge guns n' roses fan myself anyway I have a story to tell you on my grandpa's side of the family I have a distant cousin who played with Axl Rose in Guns and Roses their best friends and they're both from Lafayette Indiana
WOW amazing collection.
👍
Your cat really wants to be in that box lol
😂
Brendon your cat is adorable!
He sure is!
This is insane. It gives me a good idea of how huge they were back then.
Omg! You are a lucky guy.
I wish I had a friend who would send me GN’R records😂 GN’R and Iron Maiden are the bands I have bought alot of over the years. I bought the use your Illusion newest boxset on vinyl and cd. And Aldo bought the locked N loaded boxset when it was released. I can say I felt poor after buying the locked N loaded boxset😂
Such an amazing collection. Must be worth some good money if he would have chosen to sell it.
I couldn’t pay attention to the last ten minutes because I was distracted by whether or not your cat was going to leap into the box or not 😂
I had a hard time focusing myself worrying what my cat would get into! Haha 😂😂😂
Wild, just so amazing to watch! Man....I hope there is a copy of the Chinese Democracy "Red Hand Rare Cover B". Would love to see that!
Wouldn’t that be great! I don’t have that one either.
Spaghetti Incident on vinyl?!! Holy crap! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a GNR fan on his level.
Oh they’re around for sure. Anthony is on this level in terms of vinyl.
Awesome stuff
Cool all that was sent to you!Lucky Lucky!
I’m very grateful!
It all belongs to him. He sent it to himself 😂
🤦♂️
Wow! Brendon cool things come to good people. Hopefully David hasn’t got some kind of terminal situation and that’s why he did this 🤔 Anyway who knew that a band with such a small amount of “official” releases had all of this. Excited for you Brendon you will definitely cherish and take care of all it 🤘🏻😁
You could do a contest for some of the doubles build up your youtube account. Awesome stuff man. 🤘🏻
I’ll certainly consider it
Cool man. Rock on
great things, damn 😁👍
So when is your room addition starting? Gun's n roses room!😂. Gonna need it. That's huge !
Yes I could have a whole house dedicated to GNR now. If I ever win the lottery I’m building a huge house and having themed rooms by bands like GNR, Kiss, Pink Floyd, you name it!
@@BrendonSnyder that does sound nice. Great stuff you been getting
Cool collection/ I’ve been looking for appetite for destruction, and lies
I’d like to he a copy of the original uncensored album cover for Lies. Maybe that will come next!
I just got back into collecting vinyl and I just went to my first Guns N’ Roses concert
I have the “Torpo Deluxe” bootleg vinyl. It is the worst sounding live bootleg I have ever heard , but at least it looks cool. My copy was signed by Slash and Gilby Clarke in 1995. The “Rifle Totin’ Florists” bootleg is one of the better sounding records. Please let me know if you are planning on selling any of the sealed Use Your Illusions or Spaghetti Incident albums. I bought a sealed copy of the Spaghetti Incident on vinyl for $50 a while back but I decided to open it. I would love to get another sealed one. Obviously they are worth a lot more now. Awesome collection!
You have the Holy grail of Guns N Roses stuff Brendon that really is amazing My favorite GNR song is you could be mine where Arnold walk into a concert where GNR is playing you could be mine with a shotgun LOL assessment waste of Ammo I'm trying to learn you could be mine on guitar but it does look intimidating🤘🤘🔫🔫🏵🏵
Did you see any early GnR shows? I did see them tour off Appetite in New Zealand and the Illusion tour next. They changed so much by then. Interesting videos with this collection!
The first time I saw the band was in 1991
Brendon, did you know that on the GNR Lies album depending on the pressing of the album, the news articles on the album cover are different.
Guns n roses was the headliner here in Sacramento California at the aftershock festival last weekend. Couldn't go because the tickets were so expensive
👍
HOLY GRAIL !!!!!!
You said it! 👊
👍👍👍
Nice haul, I hope you reimbursed him on the shipping costs at least?! 😮
No, he took care of that too. 👍
I need the same thing to happend to me but with Iron Maiden...🤷🏼♂️😂 Saludos desde Puerto Rico.
I'm wearing that same guns n roses shirt
If you have any interest in selling the Welcome To Hell record, It would mean something to me. I worked with Metallica on the Black Album, for about 6 months, and the helped the prepare for their tour, including painting the stencils of their band name on all their tour cases. They took me to that show in the LA Coliseum... and said to go enjoy watching Guns and Roses. That's when Axl yelled at everyone, saying if you're all going to sit down and smoke pot, im going to sit down. He stopped playing. It was hysterical. Well, let me know. T.Y.
It’s going to take me a while to go through it all and listen to it before I decide what to with it. For the most part I think I’ll be keeping it all. But if for some reason I decide to let some of it go, I’ll keep you and the TH-cam community in mind.
Wow Brendon, definitely David out did himself. Maybe he has other stuff he wants to share. I’m always looking for Phil Collins/Genesis stuff. Unfortunately I don’t own a record player. CDs are the best way to listen to music.
I think it’s time you get a record player!
Let’s see what you got this time!!!! Your pal Bill
It’s mega-good!
I wouldn’t mind purchasing a copy of Use Your Illusion 1 & 2.
I think they’re hard to come by for original copies right?
@@BrendonSnyder yeah
Where do you plan on putting all this stuff? A lot of cool rare stuff here.
What do you mean? It’s going to go right into my collection along with everything else….but I may need a bigger house! 😂
Brendan lucky man!!
I recognized how blessed I am and very grateful.
I would love to find spaghetti incident on vinyl
Yeah I wasn’t aware of the difficulty in finding it until recently when I watch Anthony from Sound Exchange try and locate one for his collection.
Brendon i need one of those spaghetti incident vinyls. Please!!!!
Crazy.
I know, hard to believe right!
@@BrendonSnyder well, I've never gone so much for physical objects like magazines, etc., although I do have some things like that. I do have a veritable mountain of Yes music and projects all the various members have been involved in. Some of it's unreleased, some of it's pretty rare. I'm not a purist so quite a bit is recorded by others and gotten in trade as at the time it was the only way to get the music due to my location out in the middle of nowhere. Then the internet came and it all changed. Now, of course, as I'm an old fart and retired I can't buy in quantity any more. I didn't even buy the greatest hits compilation Band Maid put out and you know I'm kind of obsessed with them. There are two Yes related box sets I'd love but won't buy because of the price (Trevor Rabin's and Bill Bruford's.). I understand his affliction. 😁
Love Guns but I don't like demos and bootlegs. It's the quality aspect of it all I guess. I'm not on any other media so I have to ask on here. Have you listened to Stuttering John? That first cd is a monster!
I know who you’re talking about but no, not my cup of tea.
@BrendonSnyder please check out Stuttering John Talk my way out of it..
The shipping charges to send these must have been insane
I hope they weren’t too bad. Still it was so nice of Dave to do all of this.
Gonna share w your community? Would love a copy of LIVE LIKE A SUICIDE or a copy of the original "rape" from appetite. Hopeful ☺️ in any case what a goldmine!!
I will be passing some of it on but it’s going to take a while to go through it all first. However, most will stay in my possession as I’m a mega fan too.
Don't open any LP's. They are valuable sealed. You have a huge treasure with some of that. I am jelly.
Since I have them all on CD I don’t think I’ll be opening them. However, I’ve heard from collectors and record store owners it doesn’t make much difference in the value when it’s rare whether opened or sealed. Don’t know how often that is true though.
@@BrendonSnyder There is some that raise the value Some cd's in long boxes go for over 1000 bucks each. It just depends on the collector.
Hey Brendon I am interested in buying your guns n roses use your illusion 1 $ 2. I ❤ longbox's especially sealed guns n roses longbox's. Let me know if you are willing to sell me a copy of each longbox. For my longbox collection. Thank you Shane
(noodle)
I call him Noods for short 😬
