Por que? Pones la partitura iniciando de un f7 y tocas un G7

Very insightful. Thanks. I was wondering about the beats per bar changes? 8 notes, 7 notes, and occasionally 6 notes per bar; why?

It was just a different way to lay things out in the exercise. Don't think too much about it :)

Barry Harris's Dominant7diminished scale. The notes of this scale alternate between notes of F7 and Edim7

I'm just here to say that your Jazz Routine book is really good!
I wasn't even aware that it's based on Bill Adam when I bought it. I use his method too, but didn't have any solid resources to work with.
The way you structure everything and give variations on every exercise, is unbelievably useful. Not to mention the audio recordings, that make the listen and imitate approach possible.
The only thing that I miss is a better audio player with more navigation options, or interactive sheet music. I would pay extra for that.
Thank you so much, I will recommend this to all my students!

    John! This is great!
I was kind of shocked to see you scroll across my TH-cam feed. But I'm sure glad you did! I'll definitely be sharing this with my students...and working on it myself.

I really want to base my practice on your videos but since I am quite new on trumpet I find it extremely hard to read notes in concert key while playing on my Bb horn.

A helpful tip would be to write them out for yourself in Bb 👍
