I cant wrap my head around the points difference between Pontus Hartmans and Oliver Randalus 2nd runs since the judges said that they wanted to see fluidity and not wavering and burrying the cars in the walls 😕
Judged sports are so confusing. Commentators for other drivers. Oh that maybe a big deduction he got into the wall( slight bumper drags that dont upset the car). James Deane over cooks the zone in the center section and bounces off the wall and has to resettle the car gets a 93😂😂😂
What I dislike is when someone starts a run (especially in qualifying) and the commentator is set on not being impressed from the start, due to the driver not being expected to score high. Ryusei has a 90-pointer run and the commentator is sounding with a critical tone throughout the whole thing lmao Same on the flipside, as you say Deane almost bins it and the commentators sound apoplectic as if he's driven to perfection (I love James Deane but cmon)
The judges have alot of cameras available that us mortals have, and they have to be super picky as the skill level the drivers have are way up there. the judges can see any small mistake being made and deduct points.
Cool n All & a great event.Congrats to LH again. But.... Please find another venue for nxt year for the final round....this wet surface was NOT on & made the whole event boring & slow....Not the way to finish off a great year with great events
Is it just me (as always) or is it anybody else (not from Ireland) who sees the favoritism for Irish drivers. It was all prepared for Duane to win it, the watering shit, the timing of watering tractor, was all to favor the Irish contingent, as they are more used to rainy conditions. Even if I am not a real Lauri fan, I am glad for him, as he was the most consistent (good) driver all season. As the main judge is Irish, also commentators are Irish (with even a team in the mix-by the way, how is that even legit) and so many drivers from the mix are Irish. Doesn't make the outcome subjective?
@@HenwiJDM there should be a really big storm coming tomorrow, which means the roof of the stadium has to be closed. The stadium will flood if they keep the roof open, or it will fill with smoke if they close it and drift in dry conditions. If qualifying was in the dry they would lay down rubber which would make it undriveable in wet conditions tomorrow
The stadium is a dome. The top opens. With the storm coming tomorrow they cant have the roof open to get rid of the tire smoke. So they have to wet the track@HenwiJDM
Here are the winning scenarios: - If Lauri makes it to the round of 8, he wins no matter what. Else, it depends on what follows. - Deane wins if he gets 1st or 2nd and Lauri drops in the round of 32 (and Duane doesn't get 1st ahead of Deane). - If Lauri gets through to round of 16 and Deane wins then they TIE!! at 421 points. (edit: @timiruutu pointed out that It is unclear based on the reading of the tie-break rules if the higher finish in Hungary or Poland is the event that would be used for the tiebreak.) -For Duane to win, there is exactly one path: Duane wins the event and Lauri drops out in the round of 32. Any other scenario Lauri wins. Basically Deane or Duane have to win and Lauri has to drop in the first round.
I was thinking about that tiebreak situation myself. The rules state that the winner of the most RECENT round wins the tiebreak. So is the most recent round Poland or Hungary?
@@timiruutu That is a good point. The rules say "If a tie still occurs in the points standings- the tie breaker will be the finish rank of the most recent round. There are terrible storms and floods going through Poland and one of these is expected to hit Warsaw tomorrow, for which the roof needs to be closed and the only way to proceed with the competition at all is to wet the track to get rid of the smoke. And wetting the track for the whole competition makes it more fair to all drivers.
