Another stunning location. Well done been the first to qualify the Summit on 2m FM. The Slim G antenna with a handheld is a good combination. Nice pile up on 40m too. Hope that cough hasn't got any worse since making the video. All the best. 73 Chris M0RSF
Fantastic job Fraser bravo 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 i was lost with the igate business. Someone got in touch with me once asking if i needed help setting up my radio 🤪 not sure what happened there. I have lora but for meshtastic but that has been sat in a draw for months. 73 mate
well done Fraser, I was a bit afraid that your cable would tie you up :-) a beautiful area out there... a bit too few trees for me :-) vy 73 Thomas dc5ly
I think it's a mixture of both John. I recognise certain voices and call signs, eg yours! Once I enter a name in VK Port-a-log, it remembers them, unless the prefix changes, eg GM to GW.
Really quite enjoyed that Fraser thanks for the hillside views!!
Cheers! Stunning vistas on Mull.
Nice one - beautiful spot.
@@EI6DP thank you. Yes, it was stunning. Nice times on the radio as well.
Cheers, Fraser MM0EFI
Well done.....amazing outing...
@@kennethblackwell1137 thanks!! It was a tough wee hill, but fun times on the radio and awesome views. 😁
Stunning environment and great video! Thanks once more Fraser.
Thank you Stephan. My favourite place! Hope you're well 😊
@@theradiorover All fine, just waiting for warmer weather 🤔. But when I see you up in the hebrides with this wind chill, I feel like a wimp 😂
@PortableRadio HaHa!! I haven't been out for ages, but will start getting out again this week, now the weather is getting worse 😁
I loved driving around Mull in my 110, I wasn't a ham then, though. It's a stunning place, you're only ever 5 minutes from a waterfall.
The entire island was a waterfall when we left, with some blowing uphill!!
Nice spot, love the isles, keep looking for a wee place to buy.
There's nowhere better than Mull Brian .😁
@theradiorover wish I was there now, instead iam in hospital after having a minor heart attack.
@@brianfields4479 not good mate. Stay well. I'll be watching your latest video tonight.

Those clouds blowing by looked amazing, seemed that they could almost be touched! Great contacts.
Thank you 😊
It was a lovely place to operate from.
Great pileup and good SOTA action. 73
Cheers Jeff. I really enjoyed it. My first hf pile up for a wee while!

Cheers Chris! Now that winter is upon us and my other activities have subsided, I hope to get out more.

HaHa!! They are good fun. Easy to forget about them as well.
Glad you enjoyed the video.
KX2 + atu = 💪
Can't be beaten. 👌
2m is a massively underrated band. We are so fortunate to have it as an allocation. 👍
It's popular with the islanders, which is great when doing SOTA over there.
@ it would be great if we can research a simple packable 5/8 wave 2m vertical. Should provide around 3dB over the slim G.
@adamap2796 the slim G is ¾ wave. Wouldn't a ⅝ wave need radials?
Been missing these - so nice to see you back at it!!
Thanks! Great to get back at it! Now winter is here and other activities have ceased, expect more SOTA. 😁
Excellent video. Thank you! 🤝
Thanks! Longer duration than my usual ones. Wasn't sure how it would be received.

Cheers Thomas! Yes, the VHF set up was a bit basic. I was holding the pole up with my shoulder and knees!!

Another great video frasier🎉 enjoyed watching it
Thanks Duncan. A bit longer than my usual content. May do a few more like that. I think people like to hear their voice on TH-cam.
Cheers, Fraser
Great video
Cheers Nick. You need to watch out for my next video. It's BOTA and you're in it. 😁
@@theradiorover fame at last lol🍻🍻
@NICKENAQ 🤣🤣
You either have a good memory for call signs or Porta log tells you.
I am still paper logs.... haven't quite made the jump to e-logging yet.

@theradiorover cheers. There some i can work out from the voice as well. I might take another look at VK
