Chapters for each pattern are in description! My sewing pattern collection keeps growing! Any fun patterns you're excited to sew up for the Fall? Or any you saw on this video? : )
Love V1597, have that as a transitional make as well. The fabric for your jogger is beautiful and the color looks really good next to you and it would go together very well layered with a camel trench as mentioned. Excited to see the outcome.
Gotta love those transitional patterns for the seasonal changes! Thanks for the feedback on the jogger material. I don’t know why I have such a hesitation about it 🙃, but I’m interested to see how it turns out! Thank you for being here, and happy sewing! 🧵🪡
I made McCalls 8359 for my grand daughter. She chose the pattern and fabric. I never used boning before but don’t leave it out. It was challenging to make. The skirt is partially on the bias with a side slit. Use a tightly woven fabric.
So nice of you to sew for your granddaughter! And very good information to know.. I’ll have to look into tips for using boning because that would be a first for me as well! Happy sewing to you😊🪡🧵
Great video! That is exactly where I shop for fabric first, local thrift! I have found some nice pieces there. If I don't like what I finally make, donate the finished garment back to thrift, lol
Thank you-I'm glad you enjoyed! And exactly--that's where my head is at too. I have found some beautiful and unique fabric at the thrift store, and if need be, I will donate a "mock-up" right on back : ) Thanks for sharing how you do things and happy sewing!!
Racheal Ann, JoAnn's has pattern sales monthly. The next sale will be for Simplicity patterns $1.99 ea. from (Thurs 8/31 through Monday 9/4). In store only. Love M8402 so cute!!
Good to know! I did happen to catch their sale this past weekend and got some McCall’s patterns for $1.99- but I did not realize that they have monthly sales at that price! Thanks for sharing and happy creating! 🧵🪡
It's been over 100 F here in Nebraska and I've been working on my fall wardrobe while wearing shorts and tank tops. 😆I recently finished an Itch to Stitch Winterthur Jacket which turned out amazing but I probably won't be able to wear it for quite a while.
😅 how funny! And it definitely sounds like you are experiencing the heat too! I’ll have to check that pattern out, but I’m there with you on sewing things and most likely having to wait for a while before wearing them. ☀️Happy creating, and sewing!🧵🪡
I like theMcCalls 8351 pattern. It would make a fantastic travel outfit for the cooler weather. Going to put it on my sewing list. The fabric is a color that would look good on you. Have you considered using it as it is? Would look good for winter to spring transition
That's a great idea--a travel outfit! Had not thought of that..I did think about leaving it as is and am contemplating creating a set with the eggplant color. It is such a large piece of fabric, the experiment with dyeing it seemed fun but we will see what happens! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and happy creating! : )
For a beginner sewer, you are doing great. You’re very inspiring. Impressive that you work outside the home too. How do u find the time? I love your fabric selections. I’ve copied down a couple of your pattern finds.
Thank you--that is so kind. I have realized that (much like anything in life) you only get better the more you sew...definitely so much to learn but I am really enjoying it! I own a fully online mental health private practice which is nice in that I have a home office, but I still get fully dressed for work--and work outside of that usually involves giving talks/trainings in the community on mental health. I'm definitely a planner and sneak in an hour of sewing here and there as much as I can!! Thank you for being here and I'm so glad you've seen some patterns you want to use!

I love your visions for each pattern. You are amazing to watch.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I appreciate you being here and happy happy sewing to you! 🌷
Your peplum top is stunnimg. Great job. It looks like a designer piece.
Thank you so much! Although it was unexpected use of the fabric, I am happy with it being used as a top. 😊 Happy creating to you!🌷
