Моё прохождение Super Mario Bros. 2 - Lost Levels (J) на FDS. + прохождение секретных миров A-D.
Чтобы открыть миры A-D нужно пройти игру 8 раз, и потом нажать на титульном экране А + Старт. С каждым прохождением на титульном экране появляется одна звезда. Однако за 1 присест проходить игру 8 раз подряд не обязательно. Все звёзды автоматически сохраняются либо в памяти картриджа, либо в памяти FDS, и при отключении и включении игры, набранное количество звёзд остаётся.

I know this game is REALLY difficult, but I love this game.
I never knew that you could get a 'game over' and not start over at 1-1. That makes it somewhat less brutal.
It only works if you do the "Start" + "A" option like SMB had.
@@jackson5116 Since this my comment, I’ve played the original on the Switch, and it gives you the option of starting at the 1st level of the world you died on, or starting over completely.

Played this through on SNES. Kinda lucky that this wasn't released as SMB 2 in USA / Europe. The release we got made from Doki Doki Panic was much better for Mario's legacy.
I agree, I like this game too though, Im starting 5 walkthroughs of the SMB2 your talking about, one for each character and one for the remake of the game :)
I'm aware that it''s a re-skin, but hardly anyone knew that in the west at the time, and Doki was made by the Mario team pretty much anyway. It worked for the shtick that every Mario game was a bit different. The original SMB2 was pretty much a level edited version of SMB1.
@@kimmolaine8069 SMB2 (the REAL one) is way more than level edited version of SMB1. Plenty of features to warrant a sequel. Much more new stuff than Megaman sequels.

Well even if it's not the best run of SMB2 I've ever seen, I give you credits for 2 things:
1 - You made a Luigi game, which is pretty much nearly impossible is some levels (C-4 is the perfect example)
2 - You made a real time run, not a TAS shit everyone loves to watch.
In short, good job on this ASIAN game run !

@konkakonkadudu Incorrect. I was able to unlock the letter worlds with warps, every playthrough was counted as a star.
well done! just finished smbtll today for the first time and probably used 300 - 400 lives via save state.
Those A-D worlds could easily be a separate game.
Their difficulty more than makes up for the small number of stages.

World A,B,B are normal worlds but the last level in world D is strange and NOT to difficuilt as the last level in world 8.

World 8-4 was already bad so be glad. Just getting to d-4 seems already hell for most players

This video shows the original version of "Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels", and it clearly has the letter stages. =P
It's just easier to miss them in the original version because you have to get to the end of the game 8 times, instead of just once.
Thankfully though, the console actually remembers how many times you have beaten the game and saves it automatically, kind of like GoldenEye 007 for the N64, and you can also use warp zones - the only thing that really matters is that you beat Bowser on stage 8-4.
30:38 You can enter the Red Pipe at the top of the screen, which rests on blocks that can be destroyed as Super Luigi/Mario. If you do that first, then enter the pipe, Luigi/Mario can be seen going through the bottom of the pipe.

The game actually becomes quite fun once you learn the timing and patterns to jumps.

For me the hardest level is C-3 and I found 8-4 far more challenging than D-4

I just beat this and while i agree it is frustratingly stupid hard. I also played as Mario.
Playing as Luigi it is a lot easier and actually fun.
Had Luigi been made the star for this game I gladly would have taken over a Doki Doki panic re-skin.
This game is always more fun with Luigi’s Butter shoes rather than Mario’s bear hopping shoes

Там нет никакой стены. Тем более это 2-я часть Марио, тут можно играть как за Марио, так и за Луиджи. Я за Луиджи играл. Луиджи выше прыгает, им за флаг без проблем можно перепрыгнуть.

The inverted piranha-plants come out more quickly than the normal ones. I don’t remember if this is true in the All Stars version.
Red ones are faster than the green and don't hide when you get close to the pipe.

How did you get a 1-up on the 8-3 flagpole???!!!
If the ones and tens digit of the number of coins you have also matches the ones digit of the amount of time you have left when you touch a flag pole, then you will get a one up. He had 11 coins (i.e. the ones and tens digit were both a "1") and he had 231 seconds left (i.e. the ones digit was also a "1"). This is why he got a one up.

This game is just a giant 🖕...you literally have to play it 100 times to even stand a chance...still to this day the most trial and error game I’ve played.. 100% chance the game designers were laughing their asses off after they made this like... “here ya go kids, have fun 😆🤪”

Don't use warp pipes through the whole game then at the end of the game select you world by pressing B
