Check out the trio she's a part of; a group named "King." She plays all of the music but her twin sister and their mutual friend are the singers. You can check out their material at weareking.com They are a breath of fresh air in the R&B/Soul music genres.
I really enjoyed Sakamoto's collaboration with David Sylvian. His sensitivity to music tones and atmospheric sounds were fully appreciated in his contribution to that music. Thanks!!
I agree. I am very glad it exists. It sounds and looks wonderful. At eight grand I will likely never own one but love that Moog decided to make it. It will certainly be an aspirational piece of gear for many and I am looking forward to some sensational music being made with it. Hearing it in the hands of the artists on this film gives me great confidence in this. One of the best moments was the smile of delight and satisfaction on Chick Corea's face....almost as if to say...."ah...they got this one RIGHT...."
This is groundbreaking moment in synthesis. The Moog One is going to be recognized as the greatest and most powerful synth ever created. It will shape an entire generation of music. Congrats Moog. Thank you.
Mike Dean playing effortlessly, favorite producer... s/o to everyone else in this video! Thank you Moog, for this amazing content, serves as even greater inspiration!
Congratulations to Moog Inc on releasing such a exquisite product. Audio luxury to our ears. May it prosper and live long in your production line, in musician's studios and in music it helps to generate.
A-ha! Maestro Sakamoto-san - I recognized him on the thumbs picture of this video! Excellent music here! I`m very glad to hear the classic electronic improvisations in a synth ad.
Ohhh sweet lord of synthesizers!! Suzanne Ciani's patch and tune is so gorgeous. I am amazed at the timbre she made! Its the most beautiful synth patch I've ever heard! And the girl at the start with all the plants in her jam space.. Thats just awesome. Wow, this is a masterpiece synth.
This video makes me want to buy a synth. Really makes you appreciate the sounds. I mostly play on my Nord Piano. Oh, and R.i.P to Ryuichi Sakamoto in this video.
This video is pure genius, especially being released right after the polymoog video. This was something so many people were waiting to happen for so many years. I am a proud owner of one of the first 100 R.A.Moog Minimoogs. I also have a muSonics Minimoog which is one of the second 100 Minimoogs. When the latest Minimoog was released I was really excited and happy but didn't really had to buy it. Now I'm also very happy that I did not spend any money for a Memorymoog and waited for something like this. (the only problem is I probably will never buy it now) Can you imagine, I would have had to (preferably) find a plus model then have it shipped overseas for LAMM (if even still possible) wait for the install and mods and then have it shipped back. $10-$15K if you're lucky. or an already nice M.M.Plus with LAMM at least $15K~20K. For all hardcore Moog enthusiasts/fans, a Memorymoog redesign was just a matter of time. I'm so happy you Moog people finally were able to do this. $8K for 16 voice is really really good but i also know that you people will soon release a limited edition version, then a CV version and then a final version. So I really wouldn't mind waiting a couple of years more and buy the final version after you release another synth and Moog One's price goes down. Let's just hope the history would not repeat it's self since it is believed that the company was bankrupt and sold before the finalization of the Memorymoog design under the Moog Music name.
It's like the sound of an expensive sports car. Some can afford it and most of us can't, but we really, realy love that roaring and lush sound. Is it to expensive? No, I don't think so, just can not afford it. Does it sound great? Hell yeah! A lot of synth players out there are really drooling on this right now ; ) Moog is still the pioneer of synths to me. I was saving up for a minimoog or a Voyager. Now I have to save for the ONE?
When I was a toddler I was exposed to 'The Electric Eclectics Of Dick Hyman'. It became my favorite record growing up, and what was a passing interest for my father became an obsession for me. I felt that nothing could match that unique richness and atmosphere, and decades later I find that was the effect on most people.
Hmm, it's kinda hard for us lesser-known programmers to compete with big billboard names like Mark Ronson, Ryuichi Sakamoto & Chick Corea. Sure it will be an incredible experience to work with this...But I might be waiting a while.
This machine was met with some criticism when released, but I’ll be damned if it isn’t one of the best sounding synths ever made. The heart of Moog at its core, and then some.
Someone who should never be slept on is Mike Dean, he’s a solidified genius and one of the greatest producers/engineers of all time, I feel like he still doesn’t get his credit, he’s better than a lot of y’all favorite producer by a mile
That Ryuichi Skamoto sound at the beginning seems directly taken from 2017 album Async, makes me wonder how long prototypes have been in peoples hands.
I Cried at Paris Strother scene... i love the new Moog, i met the first time by the Mort Garson album - Plantasia. I wish i could have money to buy one. One of the best instruments ever made.
LISTEN I'VE BEEN ONE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE 8K BUT I WILL OWN ONE WITHIN A YEAR AND IT'LL BE HANDS DOWN MY MOST USED FAVORITE KEYBOARD MAYBE IN MY LIFE; SO IT IS WHAT IT IS *LIVE ART* THANK YOU *MOOG*
Conclusive proof, if ever one was needed, that the synth is as important an instrument as the piano, electric guitar or saxophone. In the right hands, these things make exquisite music!
Wow this has to be the biggest synth release ever hasn’t it,sounds incredible has serious good looks ...fair play if you can afford it,the OB6 was my limit
I’m so happy that we live in a world with such amazing artists/innovators as chick corea and herbie hancock and they’re still alive to see the offspring of their creation and even play with them.
I sold my house and now I live in the Moog one. Best decision I ever made.
thats my plan
JAJAJAJAAK
I sold your house as well
I'm thinking about down grading my to get one. Not To a piece of junk car but a A to B
I had to sell my Moog One and now live in a potted plant.
Rest in peace Ryuichi Sakamoto. An unique maestro.
RIP to Chick and Ryuichi. Two of the best pianists to ever live.
Ryuichi Sakamoto's demo at 15:50 is really great. I wanted the track to be completed and released. I pray for his peaceful rest...
So true. His chord progressions are one of a kind. He was really great. I keep playing his music, therefor he doesn't die...🥰
That Mike Dean bit made me feel like I was about to meet a king from another planet. Such incredible sound!!!
The first sound that Ryuichi Sakamoto uses is amazing. A wall of rich, complex sound...
The Paris Strother piece played at 4:00 is the best part of the whole damn video, and I'd never heard her before.. Thanks Moog!
Check out the trio she's a part of; a group named "King." She plays all of the music but her twin sister and their mutual friend are the singers. You can check out their material at weareking.com
They are a breath of fresh air in the R&B/Soul music genres.
Her Band King are AMAZING....seriously
Indeed and the piece she play before that the second best, very good, i repeat paris part many times now, this synth sound so good.
Agree - will definitely be checking out her other work
Y’all sleeping on chick corea
Rest in Peace, Mr. Sakamoto ❤
This improvisation at 4:00 is to die for.. oh my goodness.
This is totally the greatest and most stunning product video ive ever seen.
Shoutout to all the Moog synthesizers and the musicians in here too!
Mr. Sakamoto knows this machine needs a huge, HUGE reverb. Couldn't be a greater difference with the previous player at 14:50
I really enjoyed Sakamoto's collaboration with David Sylvian. His sensitivity to music tones and atmospheric sounds were fully appreciated in his contribution to that music. Thanks!!
The hype when i saw Mike Dean
haha i know i was like ohhhhhh shit
my fav producer
a living legend.
Mike Dean is just a fancy name for G.O.A.T
Same, and same with Sakamoto.
I'm glad this synth exists. Great job Moog.
So thats a new synth?
Yep. First Polyphonic Moog synth in like 35 years.
I agree. I am very glad it exists. It sounds and looks wonderful. At eight grand I will likely never own one but love that Moog decided to make it. It will certainly be an aspirational piece of gear for many and I am looking forward to some sensational music being made with it. hahahahhahahahahhaha ;D
yep... the new CS-80 for our era
This is a mini documentary all by itself. I‘m only half through watching and already cannot shake the feeling that this is historical. Wow.
Hats off to you for taking such an original approach with this film/advert. Bravo.
Mike Dean playing effortlessly, favorite producer... s/o to everyone else in this video! Thank you Moog, for this amazing content, serves as even greater inspiration!
I’m here for Robert and Paris! When they play the Moog it literally effects my spirit!
MoeMix Paris was my favorite, great feel and application.
LOVE the fact that your video references the 1976 Polymoog video. I just watched that last night! HA!
Now...to find a spare 7 stacks.
Mike Dean came in like a super hero his synths never fail to impress me
What a beautiful piece of advertising.
Sounds like the tears of unicorns topped with a bucketful of love ❤️
This is incredible, they will sell a ton of these. Mike Dean with a blunt, Dick Hyman bringing the funk!
Freaking Mike Dean, absolutely incredible.
This is currently the most beautiful video on the internet.
RIP Ryuichi. RIP Moog.
Love Mike Dean's strong commitment to smoke-filled studios...this is the way.
When your gear wish-list list goes from 27 items to 'One'
haha,
TRue lol
It is what we all feel.
Yup
For now, yes.
Paris Strother blew me away, and that room space set up is inspiring as well
Congratulations to Moog Inc on releasing such a exquisite product.
Mike Dean is my spirit animal. Gotta love that dude.
I could listen to Paris Strother arpeggiate all day
Ohhh sweet lord of synthesizers!! Suzanne Ciani's patch and tune is so gorgeous. I am amazed at the timbre she made! Its the most beautiful synth patch I've ever heard! And the girl at the start with all the plants in her jam space.. Thats just awesome. Wow, this is a masterpiece synth.
Paris Strother !!!! 😍 Representing the Queens of KING. ❤❤❤ Her chords and production skills are impeccable. 😩👐🏽

The world is now a better place, thank you Moog!
Getting one.. this is essential for my memtal health.
Ryuichi Sakamoto’s song is deep sound.
Man Mike Deans part instantly touched my soul. What a legend.
Moog sounds were a revelation since I was a child many years ago. I'm still amazed, and will be forever. Thanks Moog. :)
best sound for me at 6:30 with Mike Dean. Nothing transcendental for now, wait for better audio demos :)
Do you know what key scale that's in?
Where is it from?
@@jpr4531 G Pentatonic Scale from what i saw
This is it... What else is going to ever top this? We're looking at the pinnacle of our collective analog dreams.
RIP Ryuichi Sakamoto
The first Paris and second Dean piece never fail to bring tears to my eyes. So powerful.
This video makes me want to buy a synth. Really makes you appreciate the sounds. I mostly play on my Nord Piano. Oh, and R.i.P to Ryuichi Sakamoto in this video.
This is the best advertisement I've seen in my life. This is everything
This video is actually sampling gold!
Paris Strother's 2nd song made me purchase this synth! She makes the Moog One sing like no other.

4:00 - 4:43 Those are some heavenly chords and melodies ❤
I like those chords
To me that piece reminded me directly of Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence by Ryuichi Sakamoto. Very close resemblance.
It's like the sound of an expensive sports car. Some can afford it and most of us can't, but we really, realy love that roaring and lush sound. Is it to expensive? Apparently 70s advertising was terrifying.
They probably took a lesson from Jexus
hahajahhahahahjdsalfajdsfasdfsdf
impurfekt everyone were on legal psychedelics less than a decade before
Yeah, sort of creepy
Haha, this really made me laugh!
Wipes of a tear while listening joyfully😭.

WulfCry 😂
Hmm, it's kinda hard for us lesser-known programmers to compete with big billboard names like Mark Ronson, Ryuichi Sakamoto & Chick Corea.
Sure it will be an incredible experience to work with this...But I might be waiting a while.
After hearing what you did with the Prophet 08 and Prophet 6 I'd love to hear you program some discordant patches with the Moog One.
Mike Dean>>>
🙌❤️❤️❤️🙌 Thanks, Glad you like them!
Anything else you want me to work with?
LF0 - TimPlease - Psalm37 you can compete.. you are the future.
The idea that the sound of the synth inspired the look of the video....is what sound does.
Seriously watching this and crying....
Whoah, was not expecting to see Dick Hyman. Awesome!!
EVERYBODY HERE knows that there is an before an after Moog One. Congratulations Moog. You’re shaping history, again.
for the most expensive synth for everyone ;D???
My headphones on, closed my eyes and you're right, another universe with tears in my eyes.
The ultimate tribute to Bob Moog.
I comeback to this video over and over again. Love all the music in this film. Mike Deans part had me shook.
This save me from an anxiety atack
Wonder how much I can still get for my car.
Oh man, I haven't laughed like that in a while.
😂😂 I literally just wondered if I could make due with selling everything else in my studio and having one of these.
Perfect
I had to smile my friend
HAHA!
this video is so legendary in itself
My boy Sakamoto is in this? This video is amazing!
Props for letting the man smoke a blunt while jamming on the one
Stuart Dooley Mike Dean is an absolute genius

I clicked on this video and immediately felt high for the 19 minutes that followed. Amazing visuals, insights, and of course, MUSIC
This machine was met with some criticism when released, but I’ll be damned if it isn’t one of the best sounding synths ever made. The heart of Moog at its core, and then some.

That opening chord. That alone can sell the instrument!
Mike Deans piece sounds like the entrance of a main character, so epic OMG
Thank you Moog! This is a career altering decision for me. Perfect Time!
Not that it's a competition, but Ryuichi Sakamoto and Mike Dean all day.
I won't pretend I'm not interested but so far I have not seen a demo that sounded amazing.
My thoughts xctly!
Probably the best commercial I have ever seen
Lovely ✨
Cuckooo!
Literally crying listening to Mike Dean and Chick Corea play
That Ryuichi Skamoto sound at the beginning seems directly taken from 2017 album Async, makes me wonder how long prototypes have been in peoples hands.
davidevoid He used Prophet-5 and modular-synths mainly on async album. I think this is a similar voice made with Moog One.
I can play that on my production recreate 80s soul funk post disco boogie jazz funk pop r&b other genre and film TV scoring
You are probably right, it's just weird how much it would fit into the sound of that album.
What is the name of the piece in the beginning ?
Wow! Thank you for the best demo video ever! Dream synth.
"...but the Moog One, it's for both hands." 2:34 Enter the human arpeggiator!
I Cried at Paris Strother scene... i love the new Moog, i met the first time by the Mort Garson album - Plantasia. I wish i could have money to buy one. One of the best instruments ever made.
LISTEN I'VE BEEN ONE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE 8K BUT I WILL OWN ONE WITHIN A YEAR AND IT'LL BE HANDS DOWN MY MOST USED FAVORITE KEYBOARD MAYBE IN MY LIFE; SO IT IS WHAT IT IS *LIVE ART*
THANK YOU *MOOG*
This film is beautifully put together. So emotive.
Remember, you don't need expensive equipment to make good music.
IRONSILVER22 but you need this
IRONSILVER22 True. But good timbre tends to be expensive.
yes you do
Yes, Must.Repeat.This.To.Self
yes and no..you will never get a sound like this with pluggins never ever...
That little Paris Strother Vibe was too chill...
Ryuichi Sakamoto❤️
Conclusive proof, if ever one was needed, that the synth is as important an instrument as the piano, electric guitar or saxophone. In the right hands, these things make exquisite music!
Wow this has to be the biggest synth release ever hasn’t it,sounds incredible has serious good looks ...fair play if you can afford it,the OB6 was my limit
Oh wow. The Moog One is glorious.
Glorious: adjective - Having striking beauty or splendor that evokes feelings of delighted admiration.
wow, amazing synth, amazing movie and those super 8 shots are a nice touch :3
I’m so happy that we live in a world with such amazing artists/innovators as chick corea and herbie hancock and they’re still alive to see the offspring of their creation and even play with them.
RIP Chick, RIP Ryuichi
I see Ryuichi Sakamoto in thumbnail, I click.
