    - The Russian Revolution of 1917 was a very important political event of the 20 th Century. For the first time, Karl Marx’s idea of socialism and Proletariat revolution became a reality. Russia was a big and powerful country. Even Napoleon Bonaparte could not conquer Russia in 1812. However, during the beginning of the 20 th Century Russia was no longer a powerful country. During this time Russia was ruled by the Romanov dynasty. Tsar Nicholas II ruled Russia at the time of the Revolution. During his rule Russia faced serious domestic and international problems. Eventually, a series of political events led to the overthrow of the Tsarist rule by October Revolution of 1917. Bolshevik Party headed by Lenin led the revolution. Thus, Russia became USSR [Union of Soviet Socialist Republics], which lasted until its disintegration in 1991

    0:27 Sir, Russia’s Old style Julian Calendar is not ahead but 13 days behind the Gregorian Calendar...Today We follow Gregorian Calendar according to which the Russian Revolution happened in March and November....👍🏻 You made a very big mistake..

    Bhaisaab Bahot barri galti krdi apne 0.22 dekho.. It should be julian was Old style calendar and Gregorian is new style.. And war happend in russia according to Julian clndr Feb in phase 1 and October in phase 2, as per Gregorian it was march in phase 1 and novembr in phase 2.. 12 days difference only... Today world follows Gregorian calendar.. Pls misguide na kariye logo ko i support u but misconception never..

    it was feb/oct as per julian calender but march/nov as per gregorian..u can verify it in mastering world history by norman lowe...the information taught by you is not authentic. in many of ur previous lectures too I have observed it as well as many people too have commented the same. although you may explain the things very well. but again verify the facts before delivering them..the concent in slides may be authentic but whatever u are writing by urself is not correct and verified

      As per ncert class 9 ch 2 :-
      Date of the Russian Revolution
      Russia followed the Julian calendar until 1 February 1918. The country then changed to the Gregorian calendar, which is followed everywhere today. The Gregorian dates are 13 days ahead of the Julian dates. So by our calendar, the ‘February’ Revolution took place on 12th March and the ‘October’ Revolution took place on 7th November.

      Russian revolution was revolution in which monarch merged in democracy and by bolveshik revolution communalism came into practical shape and Soviet union was formed USsR.
